Chapter 1: The First Love
…At School…
Sila and his friends were talking to each other, when Mina came to the table…..
“Sila, I need to talk with you…” Mina said in a slow tone.
“What do you need to talk with me about?” Sila asked.
“It is personal, can we go talk somewhere else…” Mina asked.
Sila looked at her and then turned to his friends and said, “I’ll be right back.”
“Okay dude,” Sila’s friends answered.
As Sila and Mina left the table…
“Hey what do you think she needs to talk with him about?” Mike asked.
“Does it look like I know?” Golf answered.
“I think I know what it is…” Pakorn said, “She’s going to tell him that they are over.”
“How do you know that is for sure?” Vie asked.
“It always seems to happen to every couple,” Pakorn said, “for example, do you remember when Ploy needed to talk with Chai, the only thing she said was ‘We needed to talk’ and that was all.”
Mike gave a laugh and said, “So you think Mina will break up with Sila, he’s such a nice guy to her and she’s not even the type that other guys would want to fight over with.”
“I just don’t get it, what’s wrong with her,” Golf said in confusion.
“Probably she found someone better,” Vie said looking at Pakorn.
“She must be crazy to want to break up with Sila,” Pakorn said.
(Back to Mina & Sila)
Mina and Sila walked to the bench where no one was at and had there talk.
“So, what did you wanted to talk to me about, Mina?” Sila asked as he sat on the bench.
Mina stood quiet for a while, and then asked Sila, “Do you love me?”
“I do and you know that too,” Sila answered her back.
Mina looked him in the eyes as he looked into hers too. They stared at each others for a while.
(At the Bench where the Guys sat)
“Hey, what do you think is happening right now, since it’s been a while,” Pakorn asked.
“Does it look like I know?” Golf commented again.
“Of course you do, you always know,” Mike said.
Vie look as he saw Sila coming towards them with the look as if someone was murder.
Sila came and sat right on the bench with a big frown across his face.
“Dude, what’s wrong?” Mike asked.
“Nothing!” Sila answered in a bad mood.
“What did she say to you?” Mike asked again.
“I’m leaving, I’ll talk with you guys later,” Sila said as he took his bags and head for his car.
“Hey what about your sister, who is she going home with?” Mike asked from behind Sila.
But Sila didn’t say anything back.
“What wrong with him today?” Pakorn asked as the others looked at him stupidly.
(Back to Sila)
Sila got in his car and started the engine and drove as anger rose higher in his mind. His mind was about to explode as the words Mina said randomly collide in his mind.
“AAAHHHH!” screamed a girl as Sila turned his car around trying not to hit her.
He came out and yelled at her, “What is wrong with you, do you want to die or what?” then turned around as his back faces her.
“Hey!” she said as she quickly got up, “you should be more careful while driving!”
Then he turned around and looked at her, then said, “Su-Nita…!”
“Sila…, so you were trying to kill me right,” Su-Nita said back to him.
He quickly went over to check if she was hurt, “Are you okay?”
“O, so now you worried about me?” she said giving him a glare; “if I was someone else then probably you would have walked off right?”
“No, I’m just…will…um….you know…” he couldn’t finish.
“Know what?” she questioned him.
He looked at her with that glare, “I don’t want to talk nice today with anybody, and I have to go now, so buh-bye!”
“Hey, you can’t leave yet, you haven’t even said sorry,” Su-Nita said as Sila drove off waving good bye, “Who dose he think he is?”
Then she left to the car that was waiting for her.
(That night)
“Rriinnnggggg….rrrriiiiinnnngggggg….” the telephone ringed as Su-Nita came to pick it up.
“Hey Sunshine, I’m sorry about today,” Sila said.
“I’m not Sunshine,” Su-Nita said back, “so, now you know how to apologize, huh.”
“Okay, I admit, I was a bit angry today and will you know…” Sila couldn’t finish again.
“Stressed out because Mina had talked with you again and blah…blah…blah…” Su-Nita said making fun of Sila.
“How did you know?” Sila asked.
“Because every time she ‘had a talk with you’ you are always in a bad mood and so on and so forth,” Su-Nita said back to him.
“Can you come outside?” Sila asked.
“Outside, why?” Su-Nita asked as she peered out to look as far as the gates could go and found Sila standing outside of his car.
She walked out of her room and walked as far as the gates could go and found Sila right in front of her gate talking to the security.
“So what do you want?” Su-Nita asked.
“I just wanna come take out these stress within me that’s all,” Sila said looking at her.
“So what are those stresses?” Su-Nita asked smiling at him.
“This is serious you know,” Sila said as he lend on his car, “it’s about Mina and our relationship.”
“What about it?” Su-Nita asked.
“She…um…she is….will umm…,” Sila couldn’t finish again.
“She is PREGNANT!” Su-Nita said loudly.
He quickly covered her mouth, and said, “I told you this is serious, at least keep it down.”
“So she is???” she questioned him.
“No, she is not pregnant, and I don’t know how she could too anyway,” Sila said then paused for a while and said, “She…broke up with me.”
Su-Nita was shocked and looked at Sila, “What is she crazy, who would want to break up with a guy like you?”
“It’s not that, it’s just her parents have already arrange a marriage for her and she can’t fight out of it,” Sila said looking depress.
“So the big baby is feeling sad,” Su-Nita said making faces at him.
“Gosh, I thought talking with you would release stress, but you only put on more, so I think I should leave now,” Sila said as he turned around.
“Hey, I was just joking, so what exactly did she say to you?” Su-Nita asked.
Sila looked at her then looked down.
(The flash back)
“Let’s break up,” Mina said as she turned around towards Sila.
“What, don’t play with me, you know I don’t like jokes,” Sila said looking at her.
She turned around again and said, “My parents had already arranged my marriage and I can’t fight over with them.”
“What, who still does that these days?” Sila said complaining.
“Sila, I’m sorry, but we can’t continue, let’s give a pause and stop right here before it will hurt us more,” Mina said.
Sila took her by the shoulders and looked at her as tears ran down her cheeks.
“Mina, do you love me?” Sila asked.
She looked at him and said, “Sorry, I can’t.” And then ran off.
(End of flash back, back to Sila & Su-Nita)
“Is there anything that I could do?” Sila asked looking at her.
“Not much right now, but there are ways…” Su-Nita said turning around putting her hand on the bottom of her chin.
“What is it?” Sila asked so curious turning her towards him.
“One way is that you kidnap her from the wedding,” She said with fierce.
“I love her and want her to be with me, I’m not trying to get jailed up or anything,” Sila said back to her.
“Second thought, you go and beg her parents for her hand in marriage,” she said.
“How could I when she couldn’t even get pass her own parents,” Sila said back to her.
She crushed her palms in the air and said, “Last thought, just wish her the best of luck on her wedding day, which will be best for her and you.”
“No, I can’t do that, you know…I love her how could I just stand and watch someone else take the person I love away?” Sila questioned her.
“But you have to understand,” she said turning around towards him, “something’s are fated.”
Then the security came running out.
“Miss, Madame is looking for you,” said the security.
“Okay, I’ll come,” Su-Nita answered back.
She looked at Sila and put her hand on his shoulder and said, “Don’t worried, if you need anything come find me, I’ll help you and if your love is really meant to be then a miracle will happen.” She smiled then ran back into the gates and into her house.
“Thanks,” Sila said as he got in his car and drove off.
(At Sila’s house)
Sila drove into the drive way to find his sister Buachompoo asleep by the little bush on the parking way. He parked his car and got out to wake his sister. He walked over to Bua and shook her a little, “Bua…Bua, wake up, why are you sleeping outside, it’s cold you could get sick?”
Bua awakens and said, “I was waiting for you.”
“Why?” Sila asked.
“Because the maids are asleep and there is no one to open the gate for you,” she answered back, “but then I kind of fell asleep too.” She smiled.
He patted her head and said, “Don’t worry to much about me, just take care of your self; you know I don’t want you to get sick.”
“I know,” answered back with a smile.
“Sorry about today,” Sila apologize to her.
“Why are you apologizing P’Sila,” Bua asked.
“Sorry for forgetting you at school today, I was just stressed out and totally forgot everything,” Sila said back to her.
“Its okay, P’Pakorn took me home,” Bua answered back.
“Do you like him?” Sila asked.
“I like P’Pakorn as a brother only,” Bua answered back to him, “please don’t try to put us together again.”
“Okay…okay, but Pakorn really likes you,” Sila said to her.
She looked at him and thought, “How can you not see that I like you not your friend.”
“Okay now, let’s go home,” Sila said as he hugged her by the shoulders and the both of them walked inside.
(The next day)
“Hey, I heard Mina withdraw herself from school, is that right?” Vie asked.
“How would I know?” Golf said not caring about anything at all.
“Stop saying that,” Mike said, “I heard she’s getting married.”
“Are you sure?” Pakorn asked.
“No…duh, it’s been going all around school this morning that she is getting married,” Mike said.
“Stop interfering with others business,” Golf interrupted them.
Sila approaches the talking group.
“Hey dude, I heard that your girl is getting married with some other guy, is it true?” Vie asked.
Sila just stared at him and looked as if he didn’t know anything.
“Hey, stop talking to him, he need his quiet times too,” Golf said.
“Sila, have you heard, Mina is withdrawing herself from school,” Vie said.
“What?” Sila asked.
“Don’t believe it yet, it may just be a rumor,” Pakorn said.
“I don’t care anyway,” Sila said with a glare.
The guys looked at him.
“Hey, are you crazy, how can you not care, she is your girl,” Pakorn said.
“It doesn’t matter anymore,” Sila said as he took his bag and left.
“What’s wrong with him…” the guys said.
As Sila headed towards the hall he saw Mina and her parents walking towards him. She looked at him and he looked at her, but then she turned away as they walked passed each other. Sila turned and looked as she left away with her parents then turned away. As he was about to enter his class he saw his sister by the door.
“P’Sila,” said Bua, “here, this is the invitation card that Mina wants me to give to you.”
Sila took the card.
“P’Sila, are you okay?” Bua asked.
“I’m okay, don’t worried,” Sila answered her.
“But you look depress,” Bua said.
“Brother’s okay, don’t worry now, hurry to class or you’ll be late,” Sila said to her.
She watches as he enters his class then left. In her mind she was thinking, “P’Sila, don’t feel sad, there is still a person that loves you, you just don’t know yet.”
(That night at Su-Nita’s house)
The phone ring as a maid came to pick it up.
“Hello,” she said.
“I want to talk with Su-Nita please,” Sila said.
“May I ask who this is?” the maid asked.
“Sila,” Sila said.
The maid ran up the stairs and enters Su-Nita’s room and handed her the phone.
“Hello,” Su-Nita said.
“Hey, why didn’t you pick up your cell phone?” Sila asked her.
“My cell phone?” she said thinking.
“Yes, of course, your cell phone,” he said to her.
“Oh, it’s on silent and in my bag,” she said, “so how are you doing today?”
“Fine as always,” Sila answered her then asked, “should I go to Mina’s wedding?”
“Why ask me, it is just up on your self’s decision,” she said.
“I don’t know, I don’t want to, but there are some parts in me that wants to go, what should I do?” Sila asked.
“Did she give you an invitation?” she asked him.
“Of course, why other else would I ask you for advice then,” he answered.
“Oh, I get it now, she wants to see you for one last time, she wants you to wish her off happily to start over a new path with the one she will love forever,” she said.
“So, should I go?” Sila asked again.
“It would be good if you go, but there are also limits too…” she said to him.
“What limits?” Sila asked.
“Since she is getting married, you can’t talk to her like before, the only thing you could do is watch her from far away, that is what will be best for you two,” she said.
“Hmm…do you want to go with me?” he asked her.
“Me??? Are you sure you want me to go?” Su-Nita asked him.
“Only because I want you to stop me from punching that groom that day that’s all,” Sila said back to her.
Su-Nita gave a laugh and said, “Well okay, I’ll go, just to protect the groom from getting punch on his wedding day, and to cool down the hot potato.”
“Okay, remember to dress nicely, bye,” Sila said.
“Okay, bye,” Su-Nita said then turns off the phone.
(Back to Sila)
There was a knock on his door.
“Come in,” Sila said.
“P’Sila I just came in to get the sciences book,” Bua said.
“Oh, here you go,” Sila said giving her the book.
“Who did you talk to just awhile ago?” she asked.
“Oh, it was Pakorn, he was just asking if I wanted to go to his cousin’s wedding tomorrow,” Sila answered back.
“So are you going?” she asked back.
“Maybe, don’t know for sure,” he answered back.
“Well, good night then,” Bua said as she left out the doors.
(The day of Mina’s wedding)
At Su-Nita’s house…
“Hi Auntie, is Su-Nita ready yet,” Sila asked.
“She will be down in about a bit,” she answered.
“Here I am,” Su-Nita said as she walks down the stairs.
Sila looked at her dressed in a light pinkish dress that runs down to her knees, with her hair curled. She smiled as she came down.
“So, what do you think?” she asked him.
He looked at her not taking a blank at all, then suddenly said, “You look short with that dress and so girly.”
“What?” she said looking mad at him.
“Okay let’s go,” Sila said as he headed outside.
“Bye Mom, I’ll be back later,” Su-Nita said to her mom as she left after Sila.
(At the wedding)
“Hello, thanks for coming,” said Tae’s father and mother.
“Thanks for coming,” said Mina’s father and mother.
They were greeting the guest as they walked in to the ball room.
In the dressing room…
“Mina, you don’t look happy at all,” Tae asked.
“I’m okay, just kind of nervous, and not will prepared yet,” she answered back.
“You look beautiful today, I’ll see you down stairs okay my beautiful bride,” he said to her, and then headed out the door.
“Tae, why are you so nice to me even though you know I love someone else?” Mina asked him.
He turned back and walked towards her and said, “Because I have trust that one day you will love me for me.” Then he left and closed the door.
At the entrance…
“Look at the lovely wedding pictures,” Su-Nita said showing Sila.
Sila looked and walked away.
“Hey!” Su-Nita said as she walked after him.
“Ladies, gentlemen and relatives, we gladly honor you here today for the wedding of Tae and Mina,” said the stage person, “we are about to start the ceremony in a bit so please take your seats and enjoy all the refreshments and snacks as you wish.”
“Hey Sila, look here comes Mina and her groom,” Su-Nita said.
Sila looked and saw the happy couple greeting the crowd as they walked through. Sila thought to himself as he saw Mina, “Wow, you’re beautiful today, but this is all I could ever wish for, for you to be happy and to live happy with the person who will be sharing the same path with you on forward.” He looked at her one more time then headed for the doors.
“Hey Sila,” Su-Nita looked as she saw him walk away.
She ran after him and asked, “Why are you leaving so early, they haven’t even wed yet?”
Sila didn’t answer her and kept walking until he got in his car.
“Hey, don’t leave without me,” Su-Nita said as she quickly runs into his car.
He drove off and went to park by the bridge.
“Hey, don’t tell me you want to suicide?” Su-Nita asked.
Sila walked out to the bridge and looked into the water. Su-Nita quickly got out and ran to the bridge, she hugged (pulled) him back. She said, “Don’t do such a stupid thing, you know that you still have people who cares about you, you still have your parents and friends who love you, and you still have me too.” Tears ran down her cheeks.
Sila turned around and looked at her, he flick her head with his finger and said, “Who would do such a stupid thing like that, are you crazy little girl.”
She smiled and hugged him as he hugged her back.
“Hey, you know what will make you feel better?” she said to Sila.
“What?” he asked.
“Scream to the water and yelled as loud as you can, it will release all your stress out,” Su-Nita said, “like this, Hey! I will do my best to forget about her!”
Sila looked at her and then screamed, “Hey! I will do my best to forget her!”
They screamed and yelled for awhile.
Su-Nita turned to him and asked, “Sila, how come Buachompoo doesn’t look like you?”
“Why you asked?” Sila asked back.
“Because she doesn’t look like you and uncle and auntie at all, she looks different,” Su-Nita said back to him.
Sila turns towards the bridge, as Su-Nita turned to look at him, Sila then said, “My parents only had me, I had no brothers or sister, I was an only child.”
“Wait, I don’t get it?” she questioned him.
“It was about ten years ago when my family took a vacation to the beach, that was where I met Bua,” Sila said.
