Good program to create videos

Recently I've become interested in making fanmade MVs and am wondering what's a good program for such a task? And where can I download it? It should also have a function to add watermarks.

I tried playing around with Windows Movie Maker but it just wasn't working for me.

Much love to those that can help.:)

When I used to have WINDOWS -- i use cyberlink director cut ... HOWEVER, there are many other ppl who use SONY VEGAS and ADOBE AFTER EFFECT -- I've tried working with AFTER EFFECT but it's taking too much time and I'm just too tired of doing one too many layers. I heard ppl said that SONY VEGAS is easy to work with -- I work with CYBERLINK and it works absolutely awesome despite there's not that many transition you can do. Currently, I'm using IMOVIE b/c I have a MAC now and for some reason, I can't find any free MAC video editing program out there yet .. so i'm sticking with IMOVIE.

The only way I can suggest for download is TORRENT for it .. or try to google it deeply.

For CYBERLINk, could you overlay the images--like have two clips merged into one screen?

I downloaded VideoPad Video Editor a few days ago and found that the features are very, very limited. But I did manage to make a short clip.

^two scenes next to each other in one shot? .. if that's what you meant, you can't ..

SONY VEGAS and ADOBE AFTER EFFECT allow you to do many interesting things -- change color scheme, change layer structures, manipulations, and cool font effects.

Cecilia:
What I mean is the images/scenes overlap like blending two pictures together in Photoshop (one on top of the other). But it seems like Sony Vegas is my best option.

oh, overlay -- you can do that pretty much in any program that has DISSOLVE transition .. (it'll let you set the delay of the transition time frames)
