Let me give you guys my opinion. Since, it's called Hmong Idol, all the contestants mus sing full hmong song. They can sing in English but it would be better if they sing only 1 english song and the rest are hmong.

You guys did great last year but I prefer all the contestants to sing more hmong song since it's called Hmong Idol.

Thank you very much for your suggestion and compliment dajdeev. I would like to inform you that all the contestants will be required to sing 1 hmong song for the first two rounds of the event. This year we guarantee that our event will only be bigger and better. We hope to see you there on June 19th!!!

Was not there last year, but singing in Hmong is a must and maybe pronunciation of Hmong words too.

Here are my suggestion:

1. The Host: Both host (male/female) should be dressed up formally/casually clean. With hair/makeup done professionally.
2. The Contestant: All contestant should be dressed up nicely in the style of which they prefer.
3. The Looks: A few hairstylist & makeup artist should be available backstage for the fresh/cleanliness of all contestant
hairs and make up!
4. The Stage: Should be cleanly polish with nothing to be seen. Just the background itself.
5. The Effects: All lights & effect should be well prepared and professionally hooked up.
6. The Camera: Having a professional camera crew just in the house for shooting the whole scene will be an awesome thing.
(So it can be shown worldwide through the net, letting others sees our talents too.)
7. The Background: A big screen can be shown in the back capturing the contestant while singing...so far away audience can
get a closer look of each and every contestant. Helps a better judging!
8. The Audience: For a better of the the outcome and the rights to each contestant and better sound. It is good to keep
the audience quite as the contestant sings up-stage...the quieter it is the better the sound is.
(Must strictly asked that all the people in the audience must be quite)

i hope that this help....just making us a better future with good live entertainments!!!

Can i suggest something even if its kinda dumb? haha

Hmong Idol should let the Hmong community choose it's winner. like American idol! (yes it will take longer to announce the winner and get all the ballots, votes online, & etc.)

For the Hmong, i know. low budget but now we got hmong tv. they can record it and put it on tv and make people vote!! :)
It will be awesome. And for people who goes to watch it LIVE can vote after the show. :)

Thank you soo much for taking the time to write these wonderful suggestions. We will try out very best to carry out suggestions 1,2,3,4,5,6, ADC Productions is going to be there for suggestion 7, and suggestion 8 will be addressed.

Although it may be very difficult to carry out, this will be brought up for disscussion.

If Hmong TV reserves to come as media for the event, they are more than welcome to show bits, but I am unsure whether they can air the entire event as that will have to go through the association and ADC Productions.

If you are interested, please do fill out an application (aviable on our myspace). We are still accepting applications and are looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you.
