I know what you mean. My goodness it's like they want you to be prefect.....its just hard for them to accept the truth everyones not prefect. They want you to clean everyday, everything has to be spotless and shining. If it isn't they nag till you go do it.

OG's Hmong gossip also to be two face, I mean honestly, my mom too. Not that I don't love her but u know. The over exaggerated stuff they gossip about it's ridiculous.

So true!!!!! Like if it snowed an inch, my mom will be telling her relatives in Cali that it snowed like 5 inches. It's hilarious how everything has to be exaggerated.

Or when ur parents be like go get like 2 or 3 of those things and u go get them 2 or 3 of those things they ask u too then when u do they criticize u for getting only 2 or 3 of those things. Smh then don't give me a number and I'll get the whole thing for u.

Wow, you guys, all of these are so true!!!! This is hilarious. I can't believe all this is true for me.
My mom was always comparing me and my siblings at her age and it gets so annoying. Like us kids born in America are way different than those born in Thailand or Laos. We weren't really forced to grow up fast like them.
The thing about getting your parents the number of things they ask for is so true.
There was this one time where my parents were saying that if the parents in this generation don't tell there kids exactly what they want done, the kids won't do it. For example, my mom said that we don't know when to mow the lawn until we get asked to. My parents will always be saying we were not as smart as them.
I don't know if this goes for anyone else, but my parents be like "We love you guys so much that we eat the chicken feet and head so you guys better love us a lot in the future".

Omg now that I'm 21 whenever I cook chicken for my family I always try to give my parents the legs and good parts but they never eat it. My mom always telling us her sad story of living in loss and how she grew up. I understand it was hard but u know, sometimes Hmong parents expect too much and they ask too much and when they try to guilt trip u it's no joke either.

The only one I can think of is.. Say you're at a line to get in, Hmong parents be like " if they ask, say you are 12 years old " - even though you are 18!! Don't know if it's like this with parents other than Hmong, but I know my sister does this all the time :pancarta:

Right. Lol. They just love to exaggerated and give vague answers to questions. For example, when was you born? They'll be like I was born when people start harvesting wheat. You'll be like okay...

That's my family too! I have an older sister and 2 younger brothers. My parents will always fake my age to be 12 years old with one of my brothers who is the same height as me while my youngest brother is like 9 when really we're all pretty much teenagers or preteens already. When my brother grows taller, my parents will than say that me and my other brother are 12 and are twins, just because I'm like super short for my age and I just don't look my age.

Lol, ikr. Like that just confuses us even more. Their answers to our questions are the funniest and so unexpected.
