So I was on my old android phone and downloaded flash player on indomovie (it was indo something) website because the website said I had to download to watch the video. l because well I couldn't wait until the 17 of December for the DVD to be released. And all of a sudden it says I was downloading child pornography!!! When a warning came up, I got so scared, I turn off the phone and took out the battery. On the screen it shows my IP address and that I will be fine $300. After a while, I decided to turn it back on and open the web browser on my phone and it still had the same thing page showing my IP address and that warning and now everything is gone. I cannot access my old pictures or anything on the phone. It says that my phone has been encrypted and some FBI shit. Who the heck knows what that is. I am scared because I had also downloaded other torrent files. What should I do? Smash and toss my old phone away? What good will that do since it has my IP address.

Also I am too scare to go on that website on my desktop.

Okay disregard that, I did a little research and it is a scam. But what I noticed different and not mentioned, it has listed the kind of phone I have and my IP address. Now I have no idea how to restore it. My old phone is just about 2 years old and it is still in good condition. I use it to download dramas from gooddrama.net's app so that I can watch it without wifi. Oh I also use it for this free text app so that I don't have to give away my real number.

Edit: The restore and removal instruction... is either difficult for me to understand and follow or I am  just doing it all wrong. I tried 2 different method but none of them works.

like anonymous i also don't know how to help you.right now i also have problem with my IP address.it always say my IP was identical with someone out there.it scare me.
just yesterday i also checked indomovie site for rurouni kenshin but it a relief my suspicious didn't allow me to download anything from there.when you mention child pornography it remind me of morgan from top chef case.hope anything will be ok with you.

I'm glad you figured things out. Stuff like that is always most likely a scam. You can always uninstall things you install, things you don't want or of harm to your hard drive (whether mobile devices or computer). If you were on the computer, I'd tell you to uninstall suspicious programs on Programs and Features. Usually, that doesn't solve the problem 100%, though. You'd have to open your browser and set everything to default settings too.
On mobile devices, the majority of the time, all you have to do is clear you cookies and browser and reboot your phone. Everything should be okay.

It's great to know that it was only a scam Fun.. but I hope you'll be able to recover your things.  Hopefully there's a simple procedure you can find to restore your stuff, and that it actually works.

I actually rarely or hardly torrent files... and mostly try to find actual d/l links when I'm looking for something... sucks that it happens to you.  I always try my best to avoid suspicious sites.. but sometimes.. I can't help but look on there too @_@.. but majority of the time.. I'm safe-ish.

Are you looking for RK2?  If so, I actually got it from a pretty safe site.. it's decent quality.

There was an incident awhile back where my brother got a call/e-mail from comcast saying he had a copyrighted file on his pc.  He was at work and had me delete the file for him.  It was an American movie .. I think it was Captain Phillips...  I had to shred the file as well as deleting if off the torrent.  He was pretty sure it was that one, since that one was the only recent file he d/l..

I must say that it's getting stricter and scarier to d/l stuff these days... :/

I wish it was easily as uninstalling. It is a third party app. The only other third party app I have is Gooddrama (dramania) which is fine, I have been using it for about a year so I know whatever I download from that app is safe. But the one I downloaded from indomovie has a bug which does not allow me to navigate my phone.

Well I lost everything on my phone... My only regret is not having the two entire drama I downloaded on my phone and a few photos that were never uploaded. I wish I used a SD card to store those photos.

And yes I was looking for RK2. If you know of a safe place, please do share it with me.

^ Awwwe, that totally sucks then Fun :(  I guess your only option is to totally reboot your phone then.. since your stuff can't be recovered?  Such a pity.

& I can upload the file for you if you want :)  Of course it's RAW though... I still gotta wait for subs... but I glanced at the film here and there :p

That's fine. I can do without the sub for now. Now it's time to test my Japanese language skill after watching so many anime and a few dramas in the past decade lol

I hate malicious bugs, malware and the likes! A long time ago when I didn't know much about streaming and stuff I was on this site (forgot what it was called) I saw that my brother had it in his bookmarks. So I thought it was safe to browse and DL from. I browsed some movies to watch/dl and came across, "Twlight" (yeah, I know. I read the books and thought about checking out the movie) Anyway, I clicked on the DL button and all of a sudden I had a few pop ups. There was this pop up telling me I had a virus and I had to dl this software to remove it and I had to do it quickly. It was red and blinking. Then all of a sudden there was this loud screeching scream coming from my laptop. I couldn't find the source and it was freaking me out. So I forced shutdown quickly. I waited a few minutes to boot up the comp again. When it came on, there was a blank screen and my comp kept screaming every 15 mins. x_X It was the scariest virus I had ever gotten on my laptop. 5555+ Later on, my brother came home from work and fixed it up for me. Luckily none of my files were corrupt and I was able to use the laptop for several more years.

I hope you find a solution Fun. I would be depressed if I lost some of my pictures and files. Technical bugs aren't cool!
