I'm scared

Ok... I very want internet on my computer. So yesterday I got thhose CD where you can get at those mimi stores. The CD's that you can connect to your line phone and it will gave you internet, for example... I got a AOL cd.
Now, I'm scared because if the cost come to my phonebill, my brother will yell and kill me! I have called yesterday to cancle it. BUT this lady told me that I still have 31 or 30 days left. So I think she didn't cancle it yet. But I want to cancle it right now because I don't want to pay $28.00 to $30.00 including phone bill!!!!!!!!! This payment will be iny my phone bill!!!!!



What should I do? HOw do I actually cancle this dumb crap!!!!!!!! And do I STILL have to pay the flee???

you cant do anything you're gonna have to save your money and pay.. i dont think you have to pay it? isnt it suppose to be free trial?

Yeah with FREE trail you don't have to pay. Say if they give yoou 30 days, you are FREE to use within that 30days however if you don't cancel before that, it will start to charge you. So I would say, set an alarm on your cell to alert let say 5 days before the trial over and call to cancel.

But what I hate about AOL is that when you try to cancel, they try to sell you this and that....and I just say I don't have $$ and maybe later lolzz...then they say OK WE WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER MONTH FREE lolzzz... the point is they try to offer and make you forget to call and cancel.

With the price of AOL... I say go with DSL. It's cheaper and plus doesn't tie up the fone line.

yes use it up to a few days before the deadline then call them to discontinue it.

You have to be adamant about it. Be aggressive and cancel it. They will take advantage of you if you play the nice person role.

hahahahaha i remember when i finally got internet connected to my computer... i used AOL for the first month... and when i called them to cancel it.. they wouldn't let me.. well they gave me this offer and that offer.. the first time i called to cancel it.. i ended up staying with them for another month.. finally i got up the courage to tell them NO i want to cancel.. because i'm getting cable.. and they shut up and said alright.. and spit the cancellation confirmation number at me and hung up.. i was like :blink: ... and yeah i did post a topic on here telling you guys about my anger with AOL...

omg that's the reason i HATE aol! i even got hacked by it for 3 times already... gosh talking about bad experiences with aol seriously! <_<

and their phone bills are all bullshit... so i finally called them TWICE to cancel it in seroius mode. so i use sbc yahoo dsl which it's better than aol.

hello...just as an FYI... yes you can get charged though it says free trial if you use phone #s out of your area to connect to the internet... and i've seen many ppl doing that. make sure your dailing with the correct area codes and stuff so that you don't get charged through your phone connection for long distance. i had AOL for a longgggg time and it taught many great things like downloading mp3 and stuff... and imagine that lol... i've even been a server before... gosh those full inbox days lol...
