Lip singing?

do they lip sing in bollywood movies? my cousin told me they all the actors/actresses only lip sing and this old lady/guy sings all the songs for their movies.. i don't believe her though.. it seems like they're really singing for real.. if its true then i am gonna be so disspointed coz i always though alot of them could totally sing!

you should really watch the special feature dvd that comes along with the movies. they go behind the scenes and you will be able to see who the real singers are. only some stars can sing. the rest, they have older people singing the songs and the stars will just lips sync to them.

yep...every actors and actress in bollywood lipsync. even the bollywood king S. Khan lipsync. the real singers are actually the older person. except i knew sonu nigam is still young that sings to bollywood movies. i believe he's the singer from the songs in Kal Ho Na Ho.

whoa i am shock.. well i watch the hmong dubb ones so they dont have special features..

the people who sings the song have nice voices though they dont sound like old people to me

when i was a little girl i use to think they really sung too...but no they only lip sync. i don't mind really because i get hooked onto the music and i'm so use to it.
