to be the first ever Mr. Hmong (Nraug Hmoob)? Well then sign up to represent yourself and your culture.

..Qualifications:..
Hmong Male
Never Married
Age 16 or older
Educational background

..To participate, you must complete the following steps by November 18, 2009...
1. Complete and Submit Application
2. Pay $20 registration Fee
3. Submit a 2 Minute Intro Video
a. Intro video Requirements
i. Contestant’s Name, Age, Hometown, Hobbies and Goals
ii. Why you should be Mr.Hmong
iii. Include Interesting information about yourself

I think a Nraug Hmong should be over 21 years old and educated because he will be a role model to the younger generation...not a 16 year old. I assume this is held in Fresno because of the 559 areas code?

^ hey why the doubt? i've met many young people who worked much harder than some 21 year olds and are more mature, more amazing, and a much better role model than some 21+...lets not cut them out and lets keep an open mind

didn't know Hmong Club at CSUF has Mr. Hmong competition now...let wait n see, I think they are asking for donation too...I should go and donate some cash for their fundraising......

its someting knew..i'm alwaise up for new events..i thought their Hmong Idol
turned out prettie darn well..i reallie enjoyed the contestants last time..
i reallie like the reason behind this event...I remember them on the radio
saying tat we're alwaise comparing good looking ppl to chinese or korean..
"zoo nraug npaum nraug suav"...so they wanted hmong men to come and show
that Hmong men are just as attractive..lol..

the winners name was xeem xai xiong. he's currently attending Fresno City College. i don't know his age, but uh.. he does speak in hmong. but most of the time all of them speak in english during the event. he deserves to be Mr.Hmong!

Did anyone record it? I really really want to see it. LOL I missed it!
I thought the Cher guy was going to win, his Hmong was pretty good.
Does that mean Xeem Xai, can speak way better Hmong than him? LOL

I also heard the top guys were all from Fresno. LOL
