“P’Ken!!!” She shouted.
“Lin!” He smiled and caught her in his arms. “How was school?” He asked.
“It was good! I had so much fun with P’Ann today!” She smiled.
“Is she your new friend?”
“Yes, She came to school just last week.”
“Sorry, I was in England when you had your presentation.” He said patting her head.
“It’s okay, I’m glad that you wanted to come. It’s enough!”
“Then when can I meet your new friend P’Ann?” He asked helping her into the car.
“If you’re not busy you can meet her tomorrow or when ever, she comes everyday.”
“Okay, then I get off early to see her.” He smiled.

As the door to the embassy opened Ann ran in and rushed to the elevator.
“Sorry!” She smiled holding her bag close to her.
“P’Ann I didn’t think you were going to get here on time.” Por sighed and held his hand out. Ann sighed and handed him the folder.
“I just got everything done this morning make sure to not lose it.”
“Ann, As your boss have I every lost your work?”
Ann held both her thumbs up and smiled.
“Then I’ll see you tomorrow!” Ann waved to her co-workers and walked back out on to the street. Taking a deep breath she got into a taxi and headed towards the hospital.
“P’Ann, your father I still stable and has gotten a little better.” The nurse sitting at the desk said as she walked by.
“Thank you!”
Opening the door he father in a coma, slept quietly as in the bed near the window.
“Dad, I’m here.” She walked over to him and sat down. “Dad, I almost didn’t finish the paper work that I needed to do for work. Do you know? **
Heading in the house with Lin, Ken directly walked to the stairs as Lin ran to hug her mother.
“Mom!”
“How was school honey?” she asked.
“Ken, I have something to talk to you about.” His father said as he placed his right foot on the step.
“About what?” He said and continued walking up the stairs.
“Last night why didn’t you come home?” he asked.
“You’ve never asked me questions like that before why start now.” Ken smirked.
“Ken!” He shouted but Ken paid no attention and walked to his room.
“Closing the door behind him he laid down on his bed and looked at his mothers picture on the wall.
“Mom.”
**
“Dad, I’m home!” Fah shouted and hugged her father.
“How was it honey? Was the trip to phuket fun?”
“So much fun dad! I had so much fun! Last night Sam took me out for dinner and the scene was just breathtaking!”
“I’m glad you had so much fun, but I need to talk to you.” He said and sat her down. “I’m just going to say it straight forward, okay.”
“Sure.” She nodded.
“My company is going bankrupt.”
“What!” She shouted and stood up. “What did you do?”
“Calm down, I found out that some one had been taking money on the side making us lose money and also I gambled some of it away.”
Fah knowing that she was the one taking money sat back down crossing her arms on her chest.
“Don’t worry. I just need you to get married to Sam and then borrow some money from him.”
“But dad I don’t want to get married to him.”
“Then how about Ken Wanaporn.”
“Ken Pantanaunkul? Who’s that?” she asked.
“He’s a business partner of your fathers friends son. Currently his son owns his own company and it’s it getting richer and richer. I heard that he is quite cute too.”
“Really, then I’ll go check him out right now!” She said and was about to leave.
“Wait, it’s night where are you going?”
“Oh yeah! Dad your so smart!”
“I heard that he is stubborn so try to win him over with you cuteness.”
“Okay dad!!” She smiled and walked up the stairs.
“Are you going to the club tonight?”
“always dad.” She smiled.
**
“P’Loom, I feel like Ken will never like me.” Mae said getting into bed.
“Don’t worry, he’s stubborn but behind it all he has a heart. He just needs to find that one person who will melt that ice around it.”
**
“P’Ann!” Lin shouted as Ann arrived in her class.
“Nong Lin. How are you?” She asked hugging her.
“I’m good! You know I told my brother about you and he wants to meet you.”
“Really, why, I’m no one special.”
“Everyone I like is special.” She smiled.
“Okay, is he coming later today?”
“I think so he’s going to work so he won’t come until later.”
“Okay, have fun in class.” Ann waved to Lin and walked to the office.
**
“Boss, Where will you go?” Amy asked as he headed to the elevator.
“Cancel all my meetings today. I also won’t be back.” He said as the door closed. Once reaching the first floor he quickly ran to the door past Fah bumping into her.
“Hey!” She shouted but he was long gone. Reaching his office Amy stopped her and told her that he was gone for the day so she would have to reschedule her meeting with him.
“What a bastard, wasted my time for nothing!” She muttered under her breath.
**
Arriving at Lin’s School Ken ran in and bumped into to an elderly lady causing her to spill water on him.
“Watch where you’re going!” He shouted brushing the water violently off.
“I’m sorry,” The lady said grabbing a handkerchief from her pocket to help him.
“No need, this shirt cost a hundred dollars it’s ruined!” He shouted.
“It’s just a shirt, no need to shout loudly at your elders!” A girl shouted from behind him.
“If you’re Hi-So like me, you can look down on others as much as you want!’ He smirked taking his shirt off and throwing it on the ground. “Find me another shirt!” He shouted at the lady.
“No need, Mrs. Bakasoorn,” She walked up and picked his shirt up. “Has no one taught you manners?” She asked looking at the shirt. “Look, it was just water that she spilled.” She held the shirt up and pointed at it.
“I don’t care, I already threw it away. Find another for me to wear.”
“Hey, do you think this is a store! This is a school. I sorry but I can’t follow your orders.”
“Do you know who I am? I can get you fired from this job!”
“That’s to bad! I don’t work here. I’m just a volunteer.”
“Your just a volunteer but you act this high towards me!”
“Yes! Why can’t I. I’m also human. I have a right to argue back with anyone who looks down on me or anyone else.” She said looking down at him.
“You dare!”
“Yes, You have no right over anyone!”
“Alright! Stop it the two of you.” The principal shouted and walked over to the two of them. “Ken, I have an extra shirt in my office, Go.” He said and turned him around.
Ken turned away angered and disappeared into the office.
“Princial who is he that you treat him so nice?” She asked.
“That’s Ken Wanaporn, He’s a Hi-So, very well known.”
“Really? But that doesn’t give him the right to yell at others.” She said walking up the stairs.
“Ann.”
She knew that a lecture was coming.
“I’m going to go to class know.” She smiled and ran to Lin’s classroom and sat down at the back.
**
“Principal Bakasorn, who was that girl?” Ken asked putting the shirt on.
“Oh, her she’s just a volunteer here.”
“I know, she told me that.”
“Then what else do you want to know?”
“Never mind. I’m going to go see Lin now.” He said and walked to Lin’s room. Once he reached the room he waved to Lin. Excited Lin shouted his name and ran to him. Ann sitting in the back leaned to the side but couldn’t see his face due to the door which blocked her view of the entrance.
“Lin is your friend here? I want to meet her.”
“Yes.” Lin said and waved to Ann in the back. Ann smiled and waved back. Ken looked in and saw a little girl sitting in the corner.
“P’Ann!” Lin shouted and waved her over to them. Ann got up and walked to the door and grabbed her hand. “This is my brother Ken.” She smiled.
“Hello!” they both said as Ann walked up. Thinking that Ann was the little girl he was looking down to just see Ann’s feet. Looking up he looked Ann in the face and smirked. Ann gave him a disappointed smile and looked at Lin.
“P’ Ken, this P’Ann the one I was talking about.” She smiled.
“She doesn’t seem that special.” He said picking her up.
“I feel the same way towards too thank you much!” She said and smiled.
Not wanting to make a scene Ken placed Lin down.
“Lin why don’t you let me talk to P’Ann here.” He said with an attitude.
“I’m sorry but it seems my time is up.” Ann said pointing to her watch. “Lin, tomorrow I’ll come back to see you okay.” Ann said and went back to grab her bag. Ann then waved to the class and walked out of the class.
“Lin, I’m going to talk to P’Ann so I’ll come back later to pick you up okay.” Ken kissed her on the cheek and ran down the hall.
“This is the first time P’Ken has gone after a girl. If I likes her it’ll be even better!” She smiled.
**
“Hey!” Ken shouted and grabbed Ann from behind.
“What?” Ann said and pushed his hand away.
“You know your very cunning!”
“Really, in what way?” She crossed her arms and looked at him.
“You lied to my sister.”
“I didn’t lie! I’m a volunteer here! Get it through your thick head. Your smart right? Then why would you spend so much time coming after someone like me?”
He laughed. “I didn’t waste time, this concerns my sister too.”
“Are you stupid. This is between me and you! Your sister has nothing to do with this.” She turned away and called a taxi.
“Are you sure? I think that you were trying to get close to her to get me.”
“Hey, I don’t even know you. If I was trying to get you I would have asked her about you right? I never though about trying to get you and will never.” After the taxi stopped she opened the door and turned back to him. “I’m glad that I was able to argue with you today. I hope that we don’t meet anymore in the future.” She smiled and got in the taxi.
“What a sharp tongue girl. I hope we don’t see each other again too!”
**
“Hey, Boss, you were given an invitation by Mr. Pantanaunkul. He’s holding a party and wants you to be there.”
“Tonight?”
“Yes.”
“Call Ann, I want to take her to introduce her.”
“Okay.” La said calling Ann.
**
“Hello” Ann answered her phone as she entered her father’s room.
“P’Ann, Boss wants to take you to a party tonight, HE wants you t meet him at the Royal Hotel at 7pm.”
“Really. Okay then I’ll get ready.” Ann hanged up and looked at her watch. It was 5pm. “Two hours.” She walked over to her father and brushed his hair. “Dad, I’m going to be busy tonight.” She said and sat down next to him. “I really want to walk with you again to the temple to pray.” She kissed him on the forehead. “Then I’ll be back to see you tomorrow.” She said and head out the door.
**
“Ken, I have a party tonight and need you to be there with me.” His father said as he brought Lin in.
Ken nodded his head and went straight to his room. After he got in he took a bath and grabbed his tux from the closet. Done with his out fit he walked over to the mirror and fixed his collar in the reflection he could see his mothers smiling picture.
“Do I look handsome?” He smiled at her.
**
Getting out of the taxi wearing a white dress Ann walked to the lobby and walked over to Por who was waiting for her.
“Beautiful!” He smiled. “But my wife is so much better!” He joked. She slapped his arm and walked with him into the hall. There multiple men were in conversation and eating.
“Who is the man holding this party?” Ann asked as he led her to a table.
“It’s Mr. Pantanaunkul. His company is a leader in the country. His son is currently featured in Time magazine.”
“Really,” she sat down surprised. “Girls must be all over him.” She laughed.
“I’m going to go and grab you some food.” He said and walked over to the table with wine and food.
**
“Dad, I want to go clubbing, why did you bring me here?” Fah asked her father who pulled her into the hall.
“Mr. Pantanaunkul is holding this party and his son is here. It’s a good chance to get a hold of him.”
“Really, Then Sam is here too.” She smiled and walked away from her father.
“Fah! Fah!” He shouted but she disappeared into the crowd.
**
Entering the door with his father Ken kept his distance and walked to get the men. As is walked to shake hands he noticed a girl in red and instantly fell in love with her. As he tried to make his way to her he was stopped every foot he took and lost his view of her. As he was about to go look his father stopped him and pulled him to their table.
“Hello Mr. Pantanaunkul!” A man said walking up to them with a young woman walking behind him. Still looking for the girl ken turned around and paid no attention.
“How are your Mr. Yameen.? Is this the future diplomat you were talking to me about?” He smiled at her.
“How do you do, Mr. Pantanaunkul?” She smiled. “My name is Ann.”
“It’s good to meet you. I’ve heard so many good things about you.”
“Thank you for the compliment.” She smiled.
“I do hope your father is doing better.”
“You know about my father?” She asked surprised.
Por turned away and scratched his head.
“He’s fine. Thank you for caring. I wonder when the crow flew and spread the news?” She said and poked Por.
“I like you, very down to earth, Ah this is my son Ken.” He said and turned to Ken to see his back.
“Hello, Mr. Ken Pantanaunkul.” Ann waited as Ken turned around to see her.
“You!” They both shouted and pointed at each other.
“You two know each other?” He father asked.
“No!” They both said putting their hands down.
“That’s good. Then you can talk since you two will be working together in the future anyways!” His father laughed and pushed him over to her. “Mr. Yamee let’s go get some thing to drink.” He said as they both left together.
“Hey, you still have the guts to come here and meet my father.” He said as he looked her over.
“What, you’ve never seen a girl before?” She said and headed back for her table.
“Hey I wasn’t done talking.” He said and grabbed her hand. As she looked back a flash of light came from the side.
“P’Ann!” Lin shouted and hugged her.
“Lin.” She hugged her back and bent down to talk to her. “Your dress looks beautiful!” She smiled.
“Thank you! You look beautiful tonight. Much more beautiful when you come to my school.”
“Thank you.”
“P’Ken you match perfectly with P’Ann. Did you ask her to come here with you when you went after her?” she asked.
“Nong Lin.” Her mother shouted and walked over to them. Ken turned and walked away.
“Hello.” Ann said to her as she grabbed Lin.
“Hello.”
“Mom, this is P’Ann.”
“Oh, the girl that volunteers at her school. Thank you for taking care of my Lin.”
“It’s alright. I have come to see Lin as a little sister.” She said and looked for Ken.
“If your looking for Ken I say him go out into the hall way.”
“Oh, I wasn’t I was just wondering why he left when you came.”
“Ken, doesn’t like me much.”
“But you’re his stepmother?”
“I know but he holds a grudge against me and his father.”
“His own father?”
“Yes,”
“Nim!”
“Lin, your father is calling us. Let’s go get your brother and go.”
“It’s alright, I can go get him for you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, please go ahead, I’ll bring him.”
“Thank you.” She smiled.
“She seems nice, why he such an ass to her.” She walked out to the hall and saw him looking out the window.
“Mr. Pantanaunkul!” She shouted. He turned and looked at her.
“What, still want to argue with me.”
“No. I’m calling you to go in, your father is looking for you.”
“It’s not your problem.” HE said and turned around fully to catch the girl wearing red walk out. He took a step towards her but Ann grabbed him.
“Let’s go.” She said holding his hand. His attention turned away from the girl in red and looked at Ann.
