need help on computer volume

i need help on computer volume. i can see the picture and all those stuff but i just dont know how to make the volume to work. did anyone know how to go fix the volume? please help.

Are you in volume control?

Programs ---> Accessories ---> Entertainment ----> Volume Control

The left most thing is your master volume control.

If you have certain soundcards the software that comes with them maybe connected with that master volume.

In that case u'll have to look at the software.

Darvil i did what you say but it didnt work. and this pop out..
there are no actove mixer divices availble to install mixer devices go to control panel, click printer & other. if you know please solve the problem. thank you.

ummm are you even sure your sound card is installed?

Everytime you reboot your computer.. does something come up about installing something?

The sound card might be disabled or not working properly.

Check your sound card adapter through the Device Manager:

1. Right-click on My Computer icon, choose Properties.
2. Click on Hardware tab.
3. Click on Device Manager button.
4. Look for sound, video, game controllers.
5. Click on the + to expand list.

See you if you have any question mark or exclamation mark on a device on that list.

And what type of sound device do you have listed under there?
