Rare skink species

sarNie Oldmaid
Once again, a rare species of skink is found in Laos.

Usually skinks are tiny, but this one really looks long...like a real snake.
Research is still be done on it.

This one: a buddah statue was found with it. So a man donated it to the temple.

When any population reaches a certain level in numbers, the chances are that species is doomed. California Condor, the Nene, the whooping crane all share practicially the same genetic pool as Wardd stated...There may be some slight variations as mutations do occur but the rate of those mutations is relatively low I would suspect.
