Seems like the robot targeted guyz LOL.... WHY US ?? we are only 14% in this forum LOL...

Pretty smart thing though, the registration was manual, but once registered, they use a robot to spam everyone(guyz)...

Darvil, you should set delay between 2 PMs sending time to avoid that thing to flood too quickly...

some weeks ago..my cousin got the flu...so bad that she was admitted to intensive care...she never mentioned what type of flu & i never got into details, she barely had energy to even talk on the phone but shes finally doing better after a month of suffering (i only mention this cause shes also from tx)...but anyhow..


i just hope that everyone whether or not they are from sw, is safe & well from that contagious disease.


back to the spam topic, its like the robo bots can detect whether the recipient is male or female lol but wait, tina you said you got that spam also? *mistaken identity?

speaking of that dang spam..i got all kinds of weird ones..for viagra...& that other one... oh yea cialis however the heck it is spelt... 98% of the time the senders email ends with .uk

I got a PM myself.. I disabled that account. It seems that spammers actually have real human being to read the captcha and then spam using a bot.

Anyway I did install that patch.. and now you have to wait 5 mins before a spam.

If anyone get weird spam like that.. let me know and I'll kill that account.

Darvil: I really don't like the 5 mins wait in order to send another message. I used PM a lot to contact my team members, and it just really annoying when you have to wait every 5 minutes for a message. I understand why you have it there, but maybe you can somehow put something else to prevent spammers.

Oh, hopefully no one will falsely be accused of being a spammer.

There is something he can do that's an easy fix that's if he is willing to do it.. turn off flood control and the wait period for certain member groups

And sometime I come in here just to reply to PM quickly and go, so can't really wait for 5 minutes to reply to each one.

5 minutes is such a long wait. It's best if we keep the spammers out by restricting multi-PM messaging to only certain members who has like about 100 posts. Everyone will still get to use PM messaging, but those with less posts just got to work harder to get the multi-messaging option. Maybe then, we have more posts around the forum as well.
