teaching english overseas

have you gone overseas to teach english or know anyone who has? please share some information on what it was like?

i've never done it, but i know people who know people who have done it. they say that the experience is very rewarding, both financially and in feeling.

But I plan on teaching overseas once I get my Bachelors. I know people who have done it and are currently doing it and they all love it. You have to be able to like kids though--and be patient. And of course be able to fight not being around family for one year. It takes a lot of planning and depending on which group or company you go through/with, you'll have to prepare a lesson plan as well. I've done a lot if not enough research on this to know most of the steps and process. I hope it'll stay the same in the next 4-5 years though.

You don't have to do a year. There's a government based program in South Korea where you can teach for just six months. It's the only program I know that offers this.
