urgh freaking wireless connection

k today i got a laptop and i couldn't cconnect to my wireless router because i forgot what my passphrase was, so i went on my desktop computer that connect wirelessly already and try to figure it out. i thought the network key was the passphrase and since it was showing up as dots i changed it so now i can't conenct my desktop wirelessly anymore but i finally figured out what passphrase was so now my laptop can connect wirelessly but now i have to fix wireless connection on my desktop, this is wat i did i try reinstalling connection and it says i can now access the access point and the internet but the i still can't get onto the internet

so u can't connect the desktop to the internet? or u can't connect it to ur router?

i get that u bought a laptop - connected it to the net... after hussle and fussle.

what did u do with the passkey on the desktop? u changed it from dots to something else? i don't get that explanation of urs, and how can u go into change a passkey if u don't know it to begin with? explain this a little...

but if u've resetted everything. u have to renetwork ur router again.
