New Gen:

Matt Peeranee...I have yet seen another actress within her gen that can do comedy and dramatic convincingly. And the lakorn I think made her one of the best in her generation is the one with Boy. I could never imagine she could pull it off, because Matt comes across as an evil N'ek to me. There is a mean streak about her but when she took on the lakorn with Boy she transformed into this gentle, sweet and caring girl. And if you watch Kularb Rai Glai Ruk and the one with Boy it's like night and day.

Esther: She can play rai and taking on her first N'ek role. If she can pull off her N'ek role then she has a lot of potential and not to add it's very difficult for an actress to play both.

Gale: Very underrated but very talented. She can be a stepmom, a sweet girl and not so sweet pretty well.

Kwan/Min: They would be 4 and 5 for me. For Kwan her next lakorn with Tui will test her ability because that N'ek role is very challenging. But I like her in her projects so far. Watching Min in Pin Anong, she played the weak N'ek well. You kind of pity her and want to hug her.

For me an actress to be good, they have to take on variety of roles not one where they felt safe and always in their comfort zone. I want to see them play comedy and make it natural and take on a N'ek role that isn't safe. Being an actress to me, you have to push the envelope and let yourself developed into something that you are not and make that role come alive. And if you just take on roles that make you look cute, pretty without having to put much of an effort than it's nothing. By having a pretty face doesn't qualify anyone to be a good actress. LOL, Ok I am just being too picky.

^ I believe Byebye is referring to the lakorn Fah Krajang Dao. I completely agree that Matt is by far the best of her generation. She has a lot of emotional depth and vulnerability in her acting which are key qualities that a lot of other actresses lack. Someone of the same generation that I find pretty decent is Taew but for now, I feel that Matt is ahead of her game.

I never listed any younger actresses in my top 5 list just because overall, no one can replace any of my favorite veteran actresses yet. Along with that, not many actresses these days really catch my attention whether it's acting abilities or personality. The only ones that really interest me aside from Matt are Rita, Vicki and Sara and from Ch7, Baifern, Preaw, Now and Sammy. I'm starting to really adore Namtarn and keeping a look out for a few others.

Yes, I was referring to Fah Krajang Dao. Kularb Rai Glai Ruk was also one of her best role. Because in that lakorn she has range of emotions that is hard to do. She was pyscho, bitchy, evil, needy, but within that you also see how Matt portrayed the vulnerability side of her character as well. It takes talent of the actress to make people hate her when she's crazy but feel sympathy for her when she's in pain. Even when Matt was dead wrong in her actions but when she cried her heart out because she felt justify in what she did, you actually feel sorry for her.

I remember, when Grate first work with Matt, he said that when it comes to them performing the scenes Matt is a very serious actor. And that is one of the things he admired about her. And the funny thing is, Matt said acting is just a hobby. Imagine her being this good as a hobby what if it wasn't?

There are some in her generation that has potential and is growing with more experience but Matt to me, is ahead of them as of now.
