Boy Pakorn spent many summers at the lake. The lake was a private one, on the Pakorn property. The property was over two thousand acres. The big white Pakorn mansion was to the east of the lake and the shack that the Rasis lived in was to the west. Every summer Margie would go to the lake hoping to catch a glimpse of Boy. Slipping along the edge of the woods so she could watch him to her heart’s content. Sometimes she would catch him with girls…crooning in their ears “Krub, chun san yah”. Sometimes they would be different girls. Margie never felt jealous though, Boy was so far above her, and she was always so young, that she had never thought of him in a romantic, possessive sense.
It was a nice breezy afternoon in June, when Boy Pakorn came home from the university in the big city. That same afternoon Margie and May were shopping in the village market when Boy strolled through town. Immediately May would straighten her posture and thrust out her round breasts, covered by a sleeveless, hot pink blouse with two top two buttons left undone. “That color is made for whores” spouted Boy as he walked passed us. Margie knew why there is contempt in his voice. It was because her mother was sleeping with Chai, and had been for years.
“Sawaddee, Kaw tode nah for being late. I will start dinner now” Margie rushed through the doors of the almost broken down shack. “khun heeu kao mai?” Pod was wasted out on the couch and Mam was getting ready to go out. “Margie, ma will be going out with Mr. Pakorn today, so don’t wait up”. Mam was dress in her finest dress, a red dress that clung to her every curve. Mam was a beauty, light brown eyes and creamy, delicate skin which only Margie had inherited. By sundown, Pod woke up from his drunken stupor “Where’s your ma?” he growled, in the ugly mean tone he always used when he was drinking, which was most of the time.
"She went out a couple of hours ago."
That night, Margie dozed lightly, listening for when Mam would come home. It made her feel better when she knew everyone was safely at home. Twice Margie woke with a start thinking that Mam had snuck in without her knowing. But that night Mam did not come home.
“P’Boy, Pa did not come home last night!” pouted Mint…”where is he?”
“Does Ma Know?” he asked calmly. Mint shook her head “No, she isn’t up yet.”
“Don’t fret, my sweet by the time she wakes Khun Pa would be home”
Mint whirled around eyes stormy “but he’s been out with her!!! The Rasi women!!”
“Mint, you don’t know that for sure, calm down.” Boy gave his sister a hug. “I’ll ask Mr. Thanwatt if dad had some going on last night”, and that seem to appease her.
That afternoon, Boy stormed through the shack waking everyone up. "Where’s Mam?" Boy barked, looming threateningly over Pod, who shrank back. Pod’s eyes darted around the room, as if looking for his wife. "Not here," he mumbled. "I can see she isn’t here, you stupid bastard! I want to know where in hell she is!"
“She went out” Pod stammer on "Did she come home last night?" Boy continued
"Course she did! What are you trying to say?" Pod yelled, the slur in his words testimony to the alcohol still in his blood. "I’m saying your whore of a wife has left!" Boy yelled back, his dark face twisted with rage. “Left????No way, why would Mam, my wife do that that…she wouldn’t do that to the kids”
At that moment Margie heard herself gasps. Ma has left with Chai Pakorn No.
Boy gave a harsh look of laughter as he gaze around the shack…probably the youngest girl who tried to keep this dump somewhat clean...then to the girl, she was standing as if turned to stone, staring at him with huge, blank brown eyes. Her dark hair hung messy around her shoulders, and her bare feet were covered with dirt. “You Rasis have until sundown to pack up your shit and leave my property or else I will throw everything out.!!!” roared Boy.
Sundown came quickly that day and Pod continued to drink until Boy Pakorn and some men came to take everything inside the shack and throw it out. Things were flying everywhere when Pod started to sob “Please Boy..I won’t have anywhere else to go…please let us stay here I will die if you won’t let us stay. I would do anything, I will give you anything”
“There’s nothing you have that I could possibly want” spatted Boy. At that moment May and Margie was rushing around gathering up their belongings. Margie in her nightgown innocent and dazed did not realize that the worn down nightgown was thin and the light of the porch shone through the thin fabric, silhouetting her youthful body, her slim thighs and high perky breasts. Each bent, lift and change of position outlining a different part of her body, pulling the fabric tight across her breast and showing the small peak of her nipple, the next revealing the round curve of her buttock. The men looked and drooled. Boy for the first time noticed Margie. Pod notice this too and being the bastard of a dad he is grabbed Boy by the shoulder and said “You can have Margie as a servant in your house if you allow us to continue to live here”.

When Its Night
Margie Rasi was 18 years old the day her mother ran away with Chai Pakorn. The whole town of Yala knew that her mother was a whore and that the Rasi family was being kept by Chai Pakorn. Margie’s dad Pod was a mean drunkard who allows his wife to screw around, all Pod cared about was having the next drink. For this reason the two Pakorn kids hated the Rasi kids. Boy and Mint Pakorn were blessed with looks, brains and wealth. Margie has been hopelessly in love with Boy for many years. All she had to do was see him and her heart would begin pounding so hard in her chest that it hurt her ribs, and she felt hot and shivery all at the same time. Boy was like a god in Yala, he was wild and had charm and he was also backed by the Pakorn money which added to his wild, unruly nature. Boy didn’t care for the reason why the women flock to him. Just that he could get them anytime. Margie knew she had to be different than what her family name made her to be. Her sister May was well on her way to living up to the Rasi lowly name. May was 19 and spent all her time with boys in town boozing and whoring. Though she put on a front that she does it because she likes it and that boys are not using her, and that it’s really her choice, Margie can sometime catch a glimpse of when May stumble back home and Margie can see a murmur of sadness. May keep her distance from the local town people because she has heard the gossip and knew what stories they tell about her mother and what they thought of her. - With a family like that, the girl was doomed. In another couple of years, she’d be following in her mother’s and sister’s footsteps, because she wouldn’t know any better. And even if she did know better, all the boys would come sniffing around her anyway, just because her name was Rasi, and she wouldn’t hold out for long.Boy Pakorn spent many summers at the lake.
