anyways i like their outfits, its cute and it's Hmong too. If I'm not
wrong, she's wearing a green dress. :) and the guys are wearing them hmong guy outfits too. nice. love the dance.

it's a very cute dance, but it's not necessarily a "Hmong dance", that was more of a performance/acting incorporated to a song...and Hmong people can dance like that, it's just that when we (I'm using this loosely) form a group to dance, we think of moves, not acting to a song

they did this in melbourne too...i was there and tape it too buh my dvd is scratched so i cant upload it....they're really cool i like their dance group...i felt like going up to them and saying hi im hmong...buh u noe how it is hmong and thai dnt mix.....

why do they even bother wearing the hmong clothes when the dance is
not even Hmong? And it's not even a dance, it's... whatever it is...
Well, I think the way we Hmong dance is way better && iiLOVE hmong DANCES!!!

umm......because this is not a hmong dance.....like beamsgirl said its more of a story with dance incorporated in....
and they were wearing hmong clothes because if u were there obviously u werent...they were show casing thailands diversity.....and this one happens to be from the northern part where the hmong live....

my question is... how are you suppose to dance to hmong songs anyways? i hope i dont offend anyone with this question but what are the original steps/moves from back then? is it the same as the way they move now? cause now i see is a bunch of hopping around, waving hands movements around that doesnt look like it's suppose to be moved that way??? examples would be nice :)

Here's a traditional Hmong dance. It's called "Dhia Qeej Tuaj Taw" and it used to be an old courting ritual (kinda like pov pob, but a lot better). The guys would get together and play their qeejs and if a girl liked them, they would also join in and dance around the guys, encouraging them to play more.

I didnt get to see the clip... but I assumed that those are part of other culture show... i think those are hmong chinese style..unsure since i havent viewed the clip yet.
