Yes that's why they are doing a lot of events. They both are in the same situation. It's just that Pope has upcoming lakorns confirmed while Prang hasn't got one yet.

One thing i'm happy is that BPS success is extraordinary. Eventhough they will be missing from the screen, people will not forget them. People nowadays don't really watch lakorns so it doesn't matter if they have more lakorns or not. It takes only 1 lakorn to rise you to stardom. Even during the most recent event that Prang attended, there were so many people lining up to just take a selfie with her or just to take a look of her. That's really crazy.

Ch3 elders asked Prang to meet for bonus for BPS success. That's the news I got. To be called like this, it's actually a honor. It meant they actually took notice of her too aside from other main cast. I hope they also have plan to give her some lakorns too. I'm also curious of what role she will take next.

In Thai, I think money is not through lakorn. Those stars earn more through events and presenter works.

I hope that’s true cuz I truly think she has worked so hard and she is one of the most ambitious girls I know! Plus her beauty tops many n’eks!! Lol :p

It is through lakorns girl. The Alisters get paid by per episode from what I know, or they may get a direct salary from the channel based on the lakorn.

Events and presenters are ADDITIONAL money outside of the channel’s pay. The Channel does not permit or control their events/presenters cuz those are paid by big companies outside of the channel. But lakorns is still where most of their income comes from as an actor/actress. Hense those big bonuses lol :p

I wonder how much Prang got paid coz in many of her lakorns, she have very little scenes:p...that's why she launched those brands as her side works...she sells eyelash (Ladiilash), clothes (Justlikealadii), and the supplementary pills (S360). :nut: I think events made those actors/ actresses who are not the leads earn money.

Yes, Ladiiprang is doing a lot for side businesses.. believe it or not, I wanted to order her lashes ahahaha when they first came out! I even messaged her, their team replied. But after international shipping, it was almost over $50 for a pair of lashes. I stopped. Lol! But she did mention you can wear those for over 20X/reuse cuz the quality is excellent!

I’m hoping she gets an excellent lakorn next!! I want to see her in a MORE prominent role! Stay away from the boran/ancient theme for a while too, plz.

Exactly..her lash quality is indeed excellent. Many celebrities also use her lash eg: Noey, Esther etc..I also want to buy a pair. I'll make sure to get one when I visit Bangkok in the future.

I hope she gets a lead role in primetime lakorn with a decent storyline. Because even I love a celebrity so much, I never watch them if the storyline sucks.

I think Prang excell in drama type of lakorn. She had one of the best crying scenes in Bangrajun and Pope Ruk. I was so impressed with her facial expression and her flowing tears. It conveys a lot of emotions. Especially her crying scene in last ep of Pope Ruk..

I like prang's complexion. Celebrities make money on lakorns but that's chump change to what they make in endorsements. Because some endorsements are multi year kind of deal where they take in millions. The way I see it is, them making it into lakorn to land a lucrative deals with a top brand or many brands. Like Aum and Nadech or any top stars. Aum can sit pretty on her house of cash with just events and commercials or some endorsements without having to be in another lakorn. Now if lakorns were the cash cows most top stars would be competing to act. Just like any entertainment industry, where endorsements deals are where the money is...unless in Hollywood where one can make like 10-20 mils a film.

Actually you’re wrong. If they didn’t have a HIT lakorn, there’s NO WAY in h3ll any brands would even bother to give them any deals. In Thailand, the only way to land “brands” is through have successful lakorns or being so well known after lakorns. If you didn’t have lakorns, trust me there’s no way any brands would even bother reaching out to you. And this is probably the main reason why only leads ever get so many brands of commercial deals whereas supporting barely do. While I don’t think that’s fair at all (but that’s how Thailand works), and why I’m rooting for Prang to be n’ek and @phatman rooting for PJ to be p’ek! Lol!! :p

Well, I was hoping people would read my post and think it's the lead people that I am taking about not the supporting cast. As far as hit lakorn goes, that helps out but would not be the determining factor if so, most of channel 3 stars would have to wait in line behind channel 7...because channel 7 stars can generate good ratings but channel 3 stars can generate the buzz. In the world we live in having the buzz is just important as having a hit lakorn and having a koojin is as important as having good ratings.

Since I followed Matt the most I will used her as an example. She is not the most popular. She is just there honestly for however long she has been in the industry. Her first lakorn as a n'ek gets a 1 rating lol. And then she was an evening n'ek...some of her lakorns have decent ratings but was not a "hit". And her koojin with Great isn't much to talk about compared to the others. But she does get endorsement deals in her young career. If you have a n'ek or pra'ek status you are likely to get some sort of endorsement deals than not whether your lakorn is considered a hit or not. She wasn't well known when she got a deal with that one makeup company (don't remember the brand name). I am sure there were bigger names than hers at the time because this was when she was fairly new but she was a n'ek and she didn't have a hit lakorn or anything...throughout her first n'ek role her lakorn only had a rating of 1, I was more worried they would demote her to supporting after that lol.

Being a n'ek/pra'ek is a stepping stone to making more money in other areas.

If channel 7 has the better ratings vs channel 3 would that not attract the general viewers because more peopl are watching their lakorns? Channel 3 just attract more bangkok people where advertisers sees where the money is at. And this is the main factor I see. Having a hit lakorn like the one with Pope and Bella is a no brainer as to why they are getting major endorsements but that is like once in a blue moon. That's why even if channel 7 gets good ratings and channel 3 doesn't, the demographic of bangkok plays a big role in it. Companies think people in bangkok are likely to shell out more money for products than the rural people, therefore whether channel 3 stars can generate the ratings of their rivals it isn't as important. Channel 7 can have a hit lakorn, while channel 3 can have a decent one with a big buzz and over take Instagram and Twitter then channel 3 wins...and advertisers sees all the trending, bangkok viewers then it should be just as good.

Anyhow, we have to agree to disagree lol. I gotta go and get my Black drama fix. One of the best kdrama ever...:)

Haha @byebye yes arguing over ratings is something I could never understand when it comes to ch3 and ch7 lol ch7 has the larger rural/country audience so they always get the larger ratings (numbers) but when it comes to buzz, the crazy buzz/hype, ch3 has the most. People just clap louder at ch3 perhaps lol Ahahhahha

But ask me about what ch7 has going on right now, I’ll answer with nothing cuz I haven’t heard good sh*t from them in over decades. :( I used to love them so much, idk what happened to them??

And honestly I don’t know what it is but ch7 just doesn’t appeal to me anymore since 10 years ago?? Lol. Ahaha ever since the Mark/Nadech era, I have not heard good shits from them.haha Ofc I miss them but they got nothing for me to watch lol

Edit: I have no idea about the losing money part. Lol. But I’m sure BPSW’s ratings brought them LOTS of money. Lol the hugest rating in history since who knows when? Lol
