“Sawun Bieng is discrimating to women!
Jhey Bieb is at it again! This time her dilemma is lakorn “Sawan Bieng the scene where the Pra’aek’s father called the Pra’aek “Nah Tua Mia (A man with a female face, a Thai slang term to refer to men who are not gentlemen). Jhey Bieb says this term is discriminating women.
Only a few episodes of lakorn “Sawan Bieng showed on air by channel 3 staring Ken Teradeth and Anne Tongprasom when famous politician Jhey Bieb Rabiebrat Pongpanich, the minister of family welfare came out to criticize the famous lakorn on the scene where the Pra aek’s father called his son “Nah Tua Mia. The politician reveals she is not afraid of the consequences for speaking out her opinion.
Jhey Bieb says she hasn’t followed this lakorn from the beginning but had the opportunity of watching the scene where the father criticized his son for hurting the step mother by slapping her across the face and made her bleed. When the father saw what his son did, he slapped his son and called him “Nah Tua Mia. Jhey Bieb reveals the term “Nah Tua Mia is discriminating to women. Why is it that when men behave badly we need to criticize them by saying they display the characteristic of women? I don’t want the characteristics of any sex to be used as a symbol to say which is better than which. Good and bad is based on our own conscious mind, sense of pride/shame and religious ethics.
“I want the media to be more conscious, be more responsible to your job and to the community for the good of the public. It doesn’t matter which industry you’re in. The things that was said in the lakorn was discriminating to the female sex, the same sex that gave birth to mankind. It doesn’t matter if people say it, but in lakorns it shouldn’t happen, I want it to stop, especially the discrimination to the female sex.
