My real work is boring to most people because it has nothing to do with traveling. Well traveling in the digital world maybe.

This trip I'm taking is one I haven't taken for like 7 years.. basically its just a trip to go back to where my heart is which is SE Asia. This trip is turning out great as I ran into many different circumstances. This thing with the NGO is a lucky break I got while trying to crack into this secret area of burma where alot of shit happened with the storm Nargis. I've traveled to a few places here so far.. and the roads are horrible so my ass is hurting. Got video shots of alot of things. Its been a very interesting time so far although most of the time I'm watching Jumong

Hey interestingly Jumong is a huge hit in Burma and it comes on tv twice a week in burmese subtitles. Interesting that I copied Jumong on my HD just for days when I have idle time

I still haven't gotten on the speed boat yet.. I hope tomorrow I'll get to go.

Dude man. I can't do anything on my PC. The thing won't even load up
because it keeps dying. I'm working again, so yeah. I've been kind of
busy. I worked thirteen straight hours yesterday. Now I'm tired. I'm
going to a tournie tomorrow maybe. So yeah. Then I got a meeting/party
to go to on Saturday. Darn. Err, I'll open up my PC tomorrow and re-hook
up everything. I wanted to start CF on it. But obviously not. I know, hate

We had some folks/relatives come visit for France and I had to be the
mother of the house for the past week. I had to act like the perfect

Its very important.. Internet in Burma here is heavily restricted and I can't even access my server since 22 is closed. So how am I going to fix the server and SW issues when I can't even access the server. You get my point?

My niece got sick and got rashes but I think she's fine now.

I'm just got done building a server for the adra office here but unfortunately can't get my hands on a highend raid card here. Hell I think it'll even be super hard to find it in Thailand. Really piss me off.

I'm installing centOS on it and will teach the tech guy here so he can redo everything once the raid card comes.

I had alot of interesting time in Lapitta. I was a translator for an NGO who was just given permissions to travel. Went to many villages with swiftboats and such. Very interesting. Hell I even translated for an interview process since they're opening an office here. Offered me a job but I said no. I didn't even ask how much they would give me; probably not much.

Anyway.. PLEASE CHANGE THE PORT FOR ME YEA. I have some free time so I can now try to resolve some issues.

first of all its not in Thailand.. Its in Burma and its going to be at one of the place heavily affected by the storm.

If I had just graduated I might have seriously considered working like 6 months for the NGOs. I can do alot of difference during that period.

I actually don't want to leave yet and I say that because I still could setup some systems here. At the lapitta office for example, they need like a central server and also their computers have issues with viruses and such. Also sites are restricted.

But I can fix all that problems by staying longer and setting up a server for them. Also install deep freeze and donate a part of the server for them to use as a proxy so they can go to restricted sites like yahoo and hotmail email sites.

But atlas I can only help the people in Rangoon and not as much either. The people in the head office are not as open to the idea of me changing their whole structure. Now in the other location, I could do anything I want.

Also I am picking up a big project for the adra ngo also. One of the people mentioned to me that it would be nice if they could edit all their exel information somewhere so they won't have to email and reedit files. I told them that there are probably a ton of free open source software web apps they could use. Say something like wikipedia where people can edit all their work info. I'm planning to find something like that and helping them streamline all their data better over the internet. Thats going to be a long project.

I kind of got stuck because you living in Burma, it took a
while to get into my Inbox. Either way, it arrived in my Junk
box this morning. So yeah. I'm done.

However; I hope that you know that what we did last night,
the "trial" that we did on my VPS, it screwed mine up.

Whenever I do:

cmd: service sshd reload

OR

cmd: service httpd stop

OR

cmd: service httpd start / service httpd restart

They all fail. But then I get e-mails saying that Apache
was stopped and then restarted. So what's going on...?

I can't fix it. It's not working. You know, if you log in on PuTTY with
either port 22 or port 443, both work? How shitty is that? Something's
wrong here. And I don't know what. Whenever I try to start Apache,
it always fails. Same goes when I try to start sshd.

Dude. Some shit is going to happen because I'm going to be busy on all weekends.
Plus, stupid me. I got nominated forced to be an MC for my Youth's upcoming
