LOL, you just might be right about that. I think that one of the biggest obstacle for Kaew and Bor and for Kong and Piwit is the mom. It seems the kids are trying to move on but the mom can't let go of the past and constantly reminds them of it. Totally undersandable but there must be a point when we all must let go in order to live a meaningful life. If the mom does die, I think it would be b/c of her uncurable illness.

For me the perfect ending would be:
-Awn is pregnant but it's Pipat's baby and Pipat being the manwhore that he is accepts no responsibility
-Pipat gets shot in the nuts by Bor's sister and is impotent in that department, of course this drives him crazy b/c he feels less of a man
-Bor's sister sees the light and seeks forgiveness from Kaew's family
-Kaew's mom is free from her anger and allows her children to follow their hearts
-Piwit and Kong end up together, Pueng and Tunwa are really good friends, Nuithi tries to woo Pueng but she rejects him
-Bor begs Kaew for forgiveness(b/c of the r-scene from the spoiler), he goes after her but she runs from him and her feelings, he stops bothering her b/c he's come to a realization that maybe although she will be the only person he will ever love, just maybe they weren't destined to be be togehter. At the end, it's Kaew who realizes that she can't live without him. She had let the love of her life walk out of her life and she's not going to make the same mistake this time around b/c she is free to love him openly now so it is Kaew that goes after Bor and of course he accepts her with open arms (sometimes I want to see the n'ek go after the p'ek. Also, I think it would be fitting for this lakorn b/c she broke it off with him the first time around, it would be nice for Bor to see that she loves and wants him just as much as he loves and wants her.

It's a pity for Kaew broke up with BOR, but I don't think it's Kaew's mistake. She had no more choice from beginning. Now after six years, when the bor's sister came out of prison,she became more crazy. I can't imagine if Kaew still with BOR, what his sister will do to her, maybe she will kill her.

Definately, the sister has to repent and seek the family's forgivness and the mom has to accept that forginess in order for Bor and Kaew to have a happy ending. The sister holds the key to our happy ending. If she doesn't change, nothing will change, the situation with the breakup is as it was six years ago.

Songielove, I love your observations on Pong and his character Bor.

I seriously love Pong's acting! He's one of my most favorite actors, but I admit, i always thought he wasn't the strongest actor~~ that's only because we don't see much variety in the roles that he takes on. Yet, he's always been so good at these kinds of roles.^^ HOWEVER, i think he significantly shines in this lakorn because the character, Bor, is such an emotional, deep guy. Instead of the naturally cold-hearted character that Pong usually plays in his other pieces of work, Bor is really a sweet, loving, and charismatic man to begin with. I definitely think Bor gives Pong the chance to step it up a notch and show us his true potential as a well-rounded actor. I love watching him play an emotional role.

I too have always been a fan of his ever since I saw him in Leh Pummered and although his acting was always reasonable, I never found it to be great. For me, he began to improve after Song Kram Nang Fah and I was quite impressed with him in Buang Rak Kamathep. The reason being was I noticed that he started acting with his eyes and was able to convey his character’s evil intentions well through them. He’s always played those types of roles well but we never get to see his true potential as an actor b/c like you said, the roles never really called for him to dig deep to convey much emotions. However, I did see a glimmer of potential of him as an emotional actor in Ngao Asoke when his character Monthai would get a little empathetic for Beeyachat. Portraying Borameen has really allowed Pong to reach another level in his acting. I hope that he will get more diverse and emotional roles. His acting can only go up from here. But I’m sure he can’t be picky with his roles since he works for Exact and they only do a handful of lakorns a year.

I love watching him play an emotional role. Bor forces himself to become that cold-hearted person, whereas in Pong's past character roles, it's usually a natural act embedded within that character.

You hit the nail on this one. I remember from the attempted r scene when he came to his senses. You can tell it was the sweet loving Bor staring at her when he reached to touch her face as if he was thinking, “what am I doing and look who I’m doing it to”. But when she turned her head to reject his touch, it angered him and he forced the cold hearted Bor to say those mean words to her about not even wanting her and wasting his time trying to touch her. You could tell he was ashamed at himself when he couldn’t even look at her while he handed her the tissue for her to wipe her tears.

I think the other reason why i'm hooked to this lakorn is Bor. I love seeing him frustrated and weak to his knees at the same time. Superb acting by Pong!

I totally agree with you. This drama focuses a lot on Bor’s character development. I love to see how Bor reacts emotionally and pyhsically to even the simplest things that Kaew says to him, especially things that involve matters of the heart

I believe that in order for Bor and Kaew to be together, the sister should realize her mistake and allow them to be together or either she dies. She was the cause of their break up and now she must be the one to pull them together or be gone for them to be with each other. It’s totally sad and heart wrenching to see them miserable. I only skimmed through today's episode because I should really be studying and writing my paper. o_o Since i don't quite understand Thai, i didn't really understand what was going on with the papers Pong had. Hopefully someone can provide a little clarity with today's episode. But yet again, Pong's eyes. His eyes!!~ I agree with you on that, looksy. His eyes do all the acting for him... :wub: OK, so i'm a bit Pong-biased. I also love his long legs so i definitely loved it when he ran after Kaew and her mother. It breaks my heart seeing Bor go after Kaew and Fong-Jan like he was once loved by both of them.

I don't understand why Putamat (Bor's sister) can still be that evil lady 6 years ago. If she was a normal, mentally stable woman, she would sense that trying to hurt others a second time would get her right back into jail. She totally needs to go back there. <___< But obviously she isn't a normal, mentally stable woman or else all this wouldn't have happened in the first place. I just can't stand it that she, and every other woman in this lakorn, always blame "the other woman" when really, it's their man's actions that is the core problem to the situation. Putamat blames Kaew's sister, Awn blames Kaew, Pueng blamed Kaew at first. But that's where insecurity comes from... I just feel sorry for Bor and Kaew. In my opinion, Putamat and Fong-Jan both hold the keys to our happy ending.

I think Kaew's family was selling the home, the paper were regarding the home, I think Puenrg and the chubby guy were in a plan to buy the home for Bor. Nuthi was planning to sell the home to Phipat.

I admit that I really tune in to this lakorn b/c of Bor and Kaew's romance so I was a little bummed when after watching almost all of ep 18 there were no scenes with them yet. Then ep 18 redeemed itself with that scene towards the end. Not only was it a Kaew and Bor scene but it was beautifully done, too.

The importance of this scene, it's more character development for Bor. We really get see that he is persistant in trying to help Kaew and keeping her in his life. He truly deeply cares for her and her family. Kaew's mom doesn't want anything to do with him and his family, but yet he pushes on. He is still respectful to her. Even after she slaps him and tears up the paperwork and throws it at him, Bor still wants to explain his intentions for her to understand. This scene shows me that Bor is even a stronger man than I thought. His love for Kaew is that deep and unyeilding.

What was so beautiful about this scene was when after the mom calls Bor, "Borameen", which to me was her way of indicating to Bor that they were no longer close, how the themesong came on in the background (which starts out as the acapella version), then Kaew pauses a moment to look at Bor before she got in the car, they stare at each other, the deep anguish in Bor's eyes as themesong again serves it purpose as if to tell Kaew that Bor's intentions were out of love and not sneeky and underhanded. And then he runs after the car as the background music changes to the version with instrumental music and then he suddenly stops and gives the dirt mold a quick kick, WOW this scene was so powerful. I can feel all of Bor's pain and frustation through Pong's acting, through the setup of the scene, and the use of the two versions of the same themesong. Love it. It's the little details like this in this lakorn that make me even more attached to this drama and make me care and empathize more for it's characters.

You guys must think I'm crazy to put so much thought into a simple little scene but this is what good direction, good acting, and good music editing can convey to the audience. I was moved and I must have rewatched that scene about 3 times.

Oh no, definitely not. I tend to do this all the time as well. Looking deeper into these little components of a scene can get frustrating when it's not really suppose to be. :angry: But i looove it! I think it's a bit hard for me to do once in awhile with lakorns though, since i don't understand the Thai language well.-- But that's where the actors and the music take its place as the most effective parts of the scene. Not only do the words matter, but the whole scene set-up and editing. It annoys me when they don't use the right song for the right moment.xD I haven't followed a lakorn since Ngao Asoke (the remake w/ Pong ) and i've been watching a lot k-media, so i'm so used to immediate subs/translations. ~I like this challenge for me. *sweats* Looksy, i am a little Bor-Kaew biased as well. I can't get enough of their eye contacts. Seriously, why isn't there more Aom-Pong pairing??? -_-

Haha.........welcome to our club. Bor is such a romantic, deep, and emotional guy. This is by far my favorite character that Pong has played and he portrays Borameen well.

For me the greatest love is a love that continues to exist despite the circumstances that's holding back the love. They both know that they can't openly love each other but despite this they continue to love and long for the other. Sniff, Sniff indeed

Funny that you should mention that and then mention Ngao Asoke b/c the theme song from that lakorn is a great example of what the right song can do for a drama. Not only was it beautiful but it worked to help us empathize and better understand its character Beeyachat without her ever admitting to herself or to us of her love for Monthai.

Poor man indeed. Most of the time a theme song stirs the emotion of the viewers b/c we are the only ones hearing it, but in this lakorn, since it is incorporated into the storyline, it also works to stir up the emotions of its characters. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character get so moved and yet so tormented by a song. The lyrics are reflective of Bor’s feeling for her and yet it’s a constant reminder of a love that he can no longer act on and must suppress.

I thought the song was pretty from the get go but I truly fell in love with it after I fully understood its impact on Bor after that scene in ep 6 when Bor demanded she give him her cell number. How after hearing it it was like a knife stabbing his heart. He denied that the song still held any importance to him but him shaking and tearing up in his chair told a different story.

I do hope Aom and Pong get paired up again. -Crosses Fingers-

I love the scene when the two of them walking at the beach while listening to their song. I mean, I've seen a lot of beach scene in dramas (jdoramas, Kdrama, Cdramas , etc; ) but this is by far one of the most beautiful scenes out of them. Not because of the scenary but because how's the acting and how's the characters emotion flowing with the scene. How on earth a deeply-in-love couple listening to their song brings you the happy and sad feeling at the same time.

Wow the fact that you don't even understand a word of Thai and still follow this drama is a testament to how addictive, meaningful, well acted, and powerful this lakorn is. We girls just love a great love story, huh. As for me, I'm not fluent in Thai either but I know enough to get by and then I bug my native Thai friend for the parts I don't understand.

I like Tony Leung, too. He really is a gifted actor and you're right, he's not that handsome but I think his overall "look" somehow still works for him. As for Pong, I've always thought he was good eye candy and now that his acting is even better, I love him even more.

I too love the fact that Aom is so tiny standing next to Pong. It really is so cute. I love their interactions together and I blush everytime I watch them onscreen.

I love this "we love Por and Kaew" fanclub. but I do agree with all of you. this lakorn seems to have every perfect ingredient...not only have the actors done a wonderful job at portraying their character, but the storyline and character development is good, and the directing and production have all been magnificant and so all together makes this lakorn so great. It's been a while since i've seen such a perfect combination in a lakorn. I must say that P'Boy Takonkiet did a really good job wih this lakorn, i've usually liked his directing, and this just goes to show why he's the big boss. haha

haha I really liked that part too! It was hilarious! I love how he was like "Let me just have one more." (at first my mom and I had thought he said "i have to go pee" since it sounds so similar) but that really helped to show how enraged Por was! can't wait for tomorrow's island scenes!
