Chapter 2
Jay's car brakes screeched loudly as she reached the parkway of her home. She got out of the car and began talking to it. "Ow, I thought Nathee took you to get your brakes changed?"
Nathee walks to the front door with his eyes in confusion. (
) "P'Jay, why are you talking to the car?"
Jay turns to look at him. "I thought you took my car to the shop the other day, to get the brakes changed? It's still squeaking."
Nathee began scratching his head. "Oh, about that.."
Jay crossed her arms. "Where did you go the other day? And what did you do with the money?"
"Nothing.. I still have it.."
"Then give it back..."
"I can't.."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't really have it.."
Jay's eyes widened. "Why don't you have the money?"
"Because I went to the movies.. with some.. friends.. you know.."
"Excuse me, but I do not 'know' what you're talking about. Why did you lie to me again?" Jay raised her fist.
"Settle down, settle down kids. What's the matter?" questioned Jay's mother as she walked over, lowering Jay's fist. "You're a lady, why do you always act hotheaded like a man."
"Mother, that has nothing to do with this. Besides, you're always protecting this son of yours. Why aren't you ever on my side.. for once." mumbled Jay as she popped her knuckles.
Her mother snickered. "Ow, you're such a bad daughter. How can you say that? I love you two equally."
"Yeah." said Nathee as he stuck out his tongue.
Jay's eyes widened once again as she points her finger at her brother. "See mother, why aren't you saying anything about this? Where's father?"
Their mother rolled her eyes at Jay. "You talk too much nonsense. You're father is inside, making your favorite pudding."
"Pudding? Father is making my favorite pudding?" Jay hurries inside forgetting about Nathee.
Nathee looked over to his mother. "It seems like she'll forever be a kid."
His mother gave him a pinch. "Oh stop it. Because of you, Jay and I always get into misunderstandings."
Nathee smiled. "It can't be helped that you love me best."
While hearing this, the mother rolled her eyes. "I guess kids will forever be kids even if they're getting old."
"Can't be helped Mom, it just can't be helped." snickered Nathee. "Plus, who would have known that she'll change this much coming back."
-------------------------------------
"Papa, papa." smiled Jay as she enters the kitchen, looking for her father. *BANG* She heard a bowl fall onto the ground. "Papa, papa.. papa?" Her eyes widened seeing her father laying on the ground breathing heavily. "MOM!! MOM!! MOOOOMMMM!!!" Jay was shouting at the top her lungs. She tightlu held her father in her arms. "Papa, papa.. look at me."
"Ow, what is it Jay? Why did you scream so-----..." Her mother rushed over to her husband, grabbing his hand. "Dear, dear, what happened." She then looks at Jay. "What happened?"
"I don't know mother. I was calling out for papa, but I didn't hear or see anything except for a loud 'BANG'. Before I knew it, papa was already on the ground. *RINGRING* Jay's phone began ringing. She got her phone out of her pocket and looked at the number. "Perfect." she said to herself. "Hello, Tha. Can you hear me?"
"Jay, what are you doing? Of course I hear you." answered Tha.
"Where are you? Are you near my house?"
"Yeah, I called for you to open the gate."
"Hurry, hurry.. you're a doctor in training... papa just lost consciousness just now."
"Papa what??"
"Just hurry and come in!!" Jay hung up on the call.
Tha rolled her eyes. "Being a doctor in training has nothing to do with this." She parked her car outside the gated fence and entered through the side fence door.
"Tha, why are you so sneaky there?" asked Nathee as he finished tying his shoes, slowly getting up.
"Where are you going? Isn't there an emergency?" asked Tha in confusion.
"I don't know, I was outside. Well, you go check. I'm going for a jog." Nathee gave a tap on the shoulder and started joggin off.
"Jogging in the rain?" Tha quickly entered the home.

Lapin entered his room and slammed the door shut tight. He quickly took off his shirt and threw it straight to the ground. "Thank goodness it was a cheap shirt."
He sniffed his hand and gave a disgusted look. "What a horrible stench." Lapin turned to his left and looked at the collapsed photo. He let out a loud sigh. "Are you still mad at me too?" He walked over to the bathroom and washed the stench off his hands.
*KNOCKKNOCK*
"Who is it?" He asked but there was no answer. He went to open the door. "Who-" He was interrupted.
"Who? Who am I?" said the man. "I'm the person paying this place for you to live in." He let himself in.
"Well, come on in." welcomed Mike in an annoyed tone.
"Is that how you treat a guess? Especially your one and only cousin?" smiled the man.
"Well what do you want Watt? Some wine? steak?"
"No no, I just ate. Thank you though." He looked straight into Lapin's eyes. "Why the long face? You don't like the place?"
"No no, I'm annoyed because someone spilled food all over me. Can't you smell the stench?"
"Of course not, I thought it was you." Watt bursted out laughing, with little tears in his eyes. "I kid, I kid."
Lapin gave Watt a stern look. "So why are you here?"
"Oh, right." He cleared his throat. "Are you still looking for a place to do your business?"
Lapin nodded. "Yes, why? You found one?"
"You got it." Watt placed his hand on his heart and gazed at the ceiling, blinking his eyes repetitively. "Ain't I a great cousin."
"Oh, you sure are cousin." said Lapin a sarcastic tone. "How much is it?"
Watt stopped his acting. "Just a few hundred..."
"Hundred? Then that's pretty cheap."
"No, it's a few hundred thousand."
"Hmm, still cheap too."
Watt looked at Lapin in a worried tone. "Are you sure you'll succeed? The family already hates you as is. If they know that I've been helping you out, who knows what might happen."
"Don't worry about it. You just keep doing your thing, and I'll do my own thing. You got it 'lieutenant'?" smirked Lapin.
"Fine. But I'm acheing to know. What kind of business are you trying to open up?" Watt leaned in closer.
Lapin leaned farther back. "I've been thinking of an embalming business." He gave Watt a wicked smiled, while lifting his eyebrows.
"Embalming? I don't know.."
"Well, you don't need to know. All you need to do is just support me."
"Fine. I wish you the best then." Watt handed Lapin a yellow envelope. "All the informations about the place is in there just sign what ever is needed and so on, I'll do the rest."
"Thank you cousin. I'm glad I still have you.. after all these years."
Watt placed his hands by his heart once again in a playful manner. "That's what family are for." He raised his sleeve and looked at his watch. "I'll take my leave now, I got an undercover mission to do tonight."
"I'll walk you out then." They both walked over to the door.
As Watt was about to leave, something popped into his head. "Ah, I forgot to mention this. Your future business is located next to a museum... I'm not sure what kind of museum it is though."
"Got it, I'll check it out later. Have fun 'lieutenant' on your undercover mission."
"Ha ha, how funny. Just hope I don't die in the process, then it'll be all good. Alright, see ya."
Lapin closed the door and stared at the envelope. "Well, let's get down to business."
