I agree, one of the best lakorns this year by far! I stopped watching Thai lakorns for years now and recently returned due to the pandemic, I started with Mia Archeep <Mai and Prang's lakorn> long after it aired already and couldn't get myself to finish even though I love Prang.

The only flaws with WWH in my opinion is that the director focused too much on Pong and Baithong their issues, loves scenes between leads usually get faded out, and giving us viewers zero idea what the ending will look like in this version - but it's so much better than the previous one though!

Yes, I think a flaw is their previews for the next episodes haha. I always watch the previews and think, this is the best you could do? Haha They are lucky this lakorn is good cause the audience still come back more after the previews LOL!

I'm second to agree that this is the best lakorn this year too. There are a few dramas I've watched (from my opinion) that the new versions are better than the old ones. WWHJ is one of those. Still happy with the high rating!

The beginning kidnapping isn’t exactly a kidnap. Pretty much her sister drops her off and they are forced to live together so it’s not really a kidnap in my opinion. The recent kidnap is only two episodes so it’s not the majority of the Lakorn. You should really give this a chance. It’s the best lakorn that has aired this year in my opinion. Very well directed and flows really well. I love the nek and pek’s relationship. Pek is 1000 times better than the old one and this one he really liked the nek in the beginning and it wasn’t just to stop her from ruining his sisters relationship.

It is still kidnapping....it happens in the majority of the lakorns .

But the cliche ....trope ...is annoying/boring...they need to upgrade....ch3...ch7...ch8....80% has the psycho rai...kidnapping....roll eyes

Yes, it is a typical lakorn but like I said, this Lakorn is actually well directed and flows. It’s up to you if you want to watch or not but I’m just giving my opinion so you can use it for reference. A majority of us really like this so you might too if you give it a chance. But if you don’t think it’s your type of lakorn then of course, you don’t have to continue or give it a try.

I do agree that most lakorns do follow a similar storyline. That is typical for all Thai lakorns and does show throughout a lot of the channels. They need to broaden their storylines but think they don’t want to try or stick with what they think the Thai audience likes.

I agree with you! Most of us don't like the idea of rape and kidnap, but for Thais that's a norm for their romance genres. I'm not a fan of these genre either, the only reason I'd tune in is if it's my favorite couple. If Thais didn't have revenge lakorns that include slap and kiss, rape, and kidnap their ratings could be very low. I don't think I've heard of a romantic comedy lakorn at any channel with decent high ratings or that won an award ever, correct me if I'm wrong. Even action lakorns do even better than romantic comedies most of the time.

I'm speaking in general sense. Talay laung...last 2 ep ....kidnapping...this lakorn...last few ep kidnapping...mia jum pen...kidnapping....ect...

The story are usually decent but they can upgrade their cliche and typical story like.

Their rating is already low and crappy. Highest rating is a 5- 8....they use to do double digit....

So no I don't believe they simply just enough... the crappy story with the typical storyline. Or else club Friday will be a 15 in rating.

I disagree....it is not a norm....it is accepted. Ppl are rebelling against it. There is many popular lakorns that has no rape or kidnapping.

Mia jum pen...was trending because thai netcitizen was sick of the rape and male treatment of nk and asked for thai lakorns to stop.

Raping and force...slap kiss is not romantic. It is abusive.

korean...chinese...they have mutual kisses and seductions.

I.e. BPS....ch3 highest rating...had none of that. It had a good entertaining storyline.

There is other lakorns that has high ratings without those cliche trope

Revenge, slap kiss, stealing husbands, etc. That’s why I dislike remakes at times but I noticed that in the newer remakes they are changing R scenes to willing. Which is for the best. They also did that in this lakorn and it made it 1000 times better.

When I think back to ten years ago, I liked watching JLR and SB and I was in high school. Now that I’m older, I can’t believe I liked types of lakorns like that. Those lakorns are toxic, which is why I understand Mia Jum Pen getting a lot of smoke.

A lot of lakorns now try to be raeng like the whole Mia Noi thing. That is getting quite boring and all very similar. They have been doing that for awhile now as well because think of RaengNguo when Anne played and think of all the old Mia Luengs. Don’t get me wrong, I like nam naos but only to a certain extent. Club Friday is all about cheating and whatever crazy people. There is never peace. After finishing one CF drama you want to bang your head

But why would they be in a hurry to change it though? If the audience are enjoying it and getting good ratings why fix what's not broken? They don’t care about international viewers. I think that's the last thing on their mind. They know their targeted audience. Thai viewers will never get tired of that. And honestly, if channel 3 and one31 gets more modernized while channel 7 is still stuck in the 80s plots...guess what, thai audience probably craved for the old storyline that they love while growing up. Channel 7 doesn't care a whole lot. They are in their little world. They will always have loyal viewers that won't abandon them.

Club Friday maybe crazy but I actually find it fascinating. The earlier ones anyway. To see each episodes gets crazier than the next but realizing it's real life made it the more addicting. Like a train wreck. Even if you know it's coming but you still want to see.

I like the storyline with kidnapping and stuff haha it’s typical in Thai lakorn which I love. I don’t really like K drama or C drama. I can’t get into it. I will always pick a lakorn over it lol
