To sum it up she was born in Singapore but is of Vietnamese descent. She moved to the states when she was a baby.
She spent most of her life in Texas, born poor so her family stayed at a buddhist temple or something. You know how Asian parents are, they're pretty strict and she couldn't deal with it so she went kind of wild, running away, joining gangs, etc. Then one day she got discovered in a mall I think by a modeling scout (not high fashion obviously) and she did playboy and that led to other magazines in the same realm. Her career is pretty much gracing the covers of men's magazines, very tiny roles (like extras) in a few movies maybe and then out of know where people starting noticing her because she was all over myspace. She spammed people's myspace accounts and supposedly has the most friends. So there you have it in a nutshell. I'm not a fan but I'm one of those people who has a habit of looking people up out of curiousity.
She went from being dirt poor to making lots of money and living in LA.

I've watched a few episodes. It's not an extraordinary show. It's the same as the Bachelors, except it's got both guys and girls. So, really, there is nothing quite that unique about, but I guess people watched it just to see who she'd pick.
And then, I have to agree, she isn't hot, nor is she ugly. But I think if she were standing on a scale, she'd be leaning towards ugly. Sometimes, her face makes her look too old. Maybe it's her thin lips. I don't know. Sometimes, she's hot. Sometimes, she's not.
I'll give the show some points for at least having a break through showing bisexuality on television, though. But...I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. At least, I don't know yet.

From what I heard after the show she never even contacted him; like he didn't even have her phone number and the MTV producers couldn't give it to him based on contractual reasons

hahaha...i love this show..not because of her, jus cause its been the most original so far...like the whole bi-sexual thing...all the other "looking for love" shows are basically all the same...although i do find i love new york interesting hahaha...i think its hilarious!

i heard her and the guy she chose are no longer together supposedly because she has a busy schedule. season 2 is coming out...wonder who she's going to choose! i read on people her blog is up on myspace hahah...

okay that's gay... her and bobby broke up..... sigh.... i totally think the producers made her pick bobby just cause he's a dude... anyways if she was really looking for LOVE, this isnt the right way to do it.... u choose a person then later on break up with them... and have a second season? wth... that's WACK!!!
and about Tila's image, makeup and surgery really helped her.... she should be thankful. i admit that without makeup she's not all that attractive, just like everyother asian but gawly..... MY NEICE LOOKS JUST LIKE HER (meaning the shape of the face and lip wise) and without the whole makeup.... she's pretty cute too so please go easy on her k..... just repeat after me "Unfortunent Looking" instead of ugly word k

muahaha I think that tila never wanted to take the show seriously in the first place; if you read bobby's myspace blog it tells how she never contacted him or attempted to after the show ended
It's just another attempt to get her face and image out there, she's in it for herself.
I watched a glimpse of the New Year Mascarade, well the last 5 mins of it and she was cheering herself, she was yelling "Go Tila, go Tila" to try to get the crowd to say it,
seriously, who does that?
