audio?

Ok so my computer had a virus a few weeks ago, that's why i haven't been on here but now it's fixed (thank GOD!) but only one problem. Now my computer doesn't have audio! what gives?

Can someone help me out? How or what should i do to get audio? There's no sound at all!

it should work if you restarted...
is there sound when you turn it on?
check volume control cause it maybe mute.
did you reboot the pc?
cause it may have deleted the soundcard then

my computer has been restarted too many times but still the same. When i try to play a movie or burn one it says that i have no audio codec or something like that. Is there something i need to download or do? Help please. I can't live without sound!

simple.. figure out wut audio drive u have, download the driver n install, reboot, done.

if u dunno where to find info of your audio drive, go to control panel> Sounds and audio devices > volume tab and it shud tell u what sound card u have at the top. After that just search for the driver of that particular sound card n dl n install.

o btw did u reformat your computer? if u did then its definitely the driver problem, simple reinstall of the driver n ur good to go

If your computer was re-formatted, then you're gonna have to re-install the sound drivers. When you first purchased your computer, it normally comes with a package with all the program CDs that you may need in the future. There should be a CD with all the drivers that your computer needs to have its full operation.

upload your image to an image hosting site. Copy the url, click that box up there 2nd to the smilie and paste your url. Either that or put your image url in *img* tags.
