Priyanka and Deepika always said they are friends but the media always tried to create fight between them. Priyanka denied rumors and said “We’ve had a great time. Deepika and I have a few scenes together and a song. [On the sets], we used to sit in a corner and chit-chat, much to Sanjay sir’s (Sanjay Leela Bhansali; film-maker) disappointment (smiles). We have known each other for a long time, even before she became an actor, since we had a lot of common friends. We only have love, respect and admiration for each other."

There is tight security on the sets. A source said “Everyday jewellery and costumes costing up to 3 crore are brought to the sets. Special security has been deployed to transport them to and from the sets. Everyone who enters or leaves the set go through strict security checks. The accessories are delivered on the set before anyone arrives, and are taken back after everyone leaves for the day.”
 
The film's spokesperson also confirmed "The security has been beefed up as expensive jewellery and costumes are being used in the film."

When asked Ranveer about romancing two ladies in Bajirao Mastani, he has a very quirky take. To Filmfare, Ranveer said, “Kashi (Priyanka) is the good wife; Mastani (Deepika) is the seductress. They are playing are different parts. One is homely and the other is a warrior princess. One is khichadi and one is a biryani. But it is a tadke wali khichadi. Lucky Bajirao - he has hot wife and a hot girlfriend (laughs).”

Ranveer Singh - He is a warrior and the second Peshwa of the Maratha Empire who ruled from 1720 until his death. Ranveer sports a bald look.
Deepika Padukone - Mastani She plays a Maratha general and you’ll get to see in her in lot of action sequences. She sports a warrior attire here and looks totally different!
Priyanka Chopra - Kashibai Priyanka plays Bajirao’s first wife. A doting and caring wife. And we are eagerly waiting to see PeeCee in a royal look.
