Haven't watched any lakorns until last year, and I can't believe I got hooked on my second and without any subs at that lol According to others lakorns are illogical and full of melodrama, but this one is not so bad(maybe it's just bcoz I don't understand what they're saying)! Love epic historical backgrounds, which is why I got hooked at all. At first I think it's one couple too many to have in one drama, but it worked really well without overwhelming the Bang Rajan story. Love it, glad the material is given space to span out in its expanse of characters.

Oh and the actors are all thai right? I was puzzled at all the lakorn posters showing mainly ppl of mixed races lol I'd say the ones in Bang Rajan have an exclusive Asian beauty, both the guys and girls.

Particularly enjoying Sang & Juang atm. Fueng & Khap aren't bad to look at lolz but I just can't with love triangles haha

Wish I could discuss the storyline but don't have enough information so I guess I'll just read what you guys are saying for now  :scratchhead2:

^haha, I agree. Love triangles are exhausting. Juan and Sang are easy to watch.

What does the "samakkee" in BR Samakkeee stand for?

Samakkee, means "united" so, Bang Rajan United... BR is where everyone will end up to help fight the invaders. It was the strongest fort back then.

^awesome! Thank you!

I really enjoy the historical background and that sense of empowerment that everyone in the fort has to protect each other. When Thap said they should go to BR I got the chills!

Can't believe I actually want another Monday to come sooner lol but I really want to watch BR new episode

@scratchthat;
Yes all the actors/actresses are all Thai & they are all full Thai too.

@jjinxx,
I couldn't decide if I want another Monday to come soon because last night's episode was overwhelming to me 555 The next upcoming episodes are going to break my heart even more T_________T It's hard to see FeungKhap together when Thap is going to be around and vice versa ;/ I am excited to see Juan and Sang though haha

^lol yeah. As long as they give us more scenes of Sang and Juan that will make up for the sad upcoming scenes!

I do appreciate the full thai cast. It's so surprising how young Toey is!

So in actual history, this fort, Bang Rajan, was one of the strongest to fight the Burmese? Despite the deaths of the main leads, did Siam regain their lands and kick the Burmese outa town or was it a "to be continue" deal? I never wanted to start this lakorn but everyone's little tease made me fall in love with this lakorn. Idk if im prepared to watch all the leads die one by one but i just wana know if Siam lived in peace after the fort battle.

Anyone know where can i read news about thai celebs?

Now about ep7, it was quite sad seeing Thap realizing he's probably too late.. :cry: Based on the preview for next episode, there gonna be a lot of tear jerking scenes.

I was interested in the historical part of the story too but Wikipedia doesn't explicitly say which side won, just that the battle and war ended the Ayutthaya kingdom. But Thailand and Burma are still separate today so I should find other sources, heh.

^ It seems that the Chinese invaded for the third time and the main Burmese forces had to withdraw to protect their borders and thus ended the war. Well, according to Wikipedia. It didn't specifically say when the war did end, but the withdrawal was in July 1767 and the Burmese forces left in Siam were no more than 10,000. The Ayutthaya Kingdom came to an end in April 1767.

Wish the original cast would come together to film the reunification of Siam after that but it's just wishful thinking lol

^thanks! 555 look at BR motivating our history learning.

Darn. Sang and Juan got me itching for a fanfic but historical ff are so hard to write. They're so darn cute! Let's just forget about the first few episodes of Sang's douchebaggery. (;

Haha Juan will tame him in the bedroom since PDA was strictly inappropriate back then.

Lololololol

She helped pull the arrowhead from his shoulder too. That was a nice surprise. In my imagination, Juang has some medical practice because p'Thap fought a lot. So she felt bad for Sang and offered to help out at which point he probably wouldn't let anyone else touch his wound but her, 555. The way they looked at each other! He was trying to be tough and not look weak in front of her.

What I remember from watching several BR movies/shows, BR was the strongest fort that lasted the longest but in the end it was defeated. BR asked the capital city for cannons but was refused. Therefore, BR was defeated by the invaders who had cannons that blasted BR to pieces.

Here is an article on Bang Rachan from wiki (diff. from the one posted previously) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bang_Rachan

^daaaaamn. Sad! That's why in the film version the BR people melted all their metal tools to make a cannon, I suppose. That is so sad!

Sometimes I forget how traditional they were back then. All the gals call all the guys p' because I guess it was rare for older women to be with younger men?

Oh gosh why do I keep doing this to myself. Rewatched an episode and was reminded of how heartbroken Feung and Thap are! Hard to believe that Thap didn't try at all to stay with Feung. My mindset is just flashing "what the heck!" Lol. Feung must have felt so abandoned, she cried so hard!
