Does this kind of flower hold any special significance in Thailand. Cos on all special occasions, flowers tied in round shape with some hanging down is given like children to parents here Haym gave to Lamduan

 
When you string flowers together to make a flower "wreath" it is called a Garland. (Flower Garland) A lot of SE Asian countries uses FG for almsgiving, or giving it to their parents, teachers and elders. Back in those days, a FG is like a bouquet of flowers. In the TS appearance, Matt mentioned that they exchange FG but would try not to make any skin contact. Oh, those yellow flowers are Lamduan flowers by the way.
