I really liked Ep.1. Ken and Taew have chemistry . I'm also loving Kamkaew's character. Her withering comments to Ken about his lack of fighting skills cracked me up. And Ken is working it as the lovable dork.

I'm impressed by the whole execution of EP 1. The opening graphics, the editing, the themesong is all so well put together. I've never been a fan of Ken but I have to note that he's improved heaps since the last time I watched him on screen. I don't have to say much about Taew. She has always been one of the most versatile front lead actresses within her generation and she continues to excel in all her lakorns, including this one.

I'm enjoying this lakorn so much! The last production I watched of Off was some of the Mafia Mungkorn Series, but fully was acting Tong Neua Gao which is my absolute favorite. I really love the storyline, production, acting, wardrobe, MUSIC, and overall lakorn. I have never finished a Ken lakorn, so hopefully I make it to the end. He's great in here but I can see some room for improvement haha, but I don't think I'd want another actor. I also agree he plays the quirky but determined student very well. As for Taew, she's always been a versatile and great actress to me. I can't imagine anyone else speaking greatly as her dialect wise. I can't quite see a talented enough actress out there to portray all the above along with the dialect. She's so good at it and she plays KamKaew smoothly.

I love the lakorn because I'm really into the whole folklore and mythology of Payanak. This lakorn kind of resembles Kasanaka and I really loved that one. Just the forbidden love and serpent goddess just does it for me, it's so appealing. Taew is so gorgeous dressed up as Mae Nakee. I really think she suits the role.

Another thing I love is the language. I'm Lao myself so I understand both the dialect and the Thai. Off is spot on with the jokes and all and how the language is spoken through the scripts. I feel like I'm at home listening to my father and uncles speak. I love when Lumgiet's dad speaks to her, especially when he mentioned she acted just like her mom. I was laughing a ton!

Ken and Taew are so compatible and I see chemistry. I like the pairing and so far, every aspect of the lakorn is doing it for me. I'm hooked!

By the way, I found myself loving the OST so much and one main reason is because the singer is the same guy who sings "Sai Wa See Bor Thim Gun". That songs such a hit and him singing for the OST... chills.

Can't wait for next week!

I'm not a fan of Ken nor Taew, but Ken is totally eye candy (body I mean) and I admire Taew's talent so I gave this a go. I love it! I love the opening and the effects they used, it felt very real. I'm not really into mythical lakorns, but I must admit I really wanna know why Kumkaew has powers. Haha

Taew is super talented she just has the physique of a teen, which is a little bothersome to me, but overall she's a great actress and a great crier. Ken has definitely improved and I'm kind of starting to like him more. Haha. I really like his character in here. I like him least when he smiles though, so as long as he doesn't smile I like him. Haha.

I can't wait to start this lakorn. My parents somehow found the MVs and they love it! I heard this lakorn is very good. I'm gonna watch it on my weekends. Taew is by far my favorite from Ch3, and I'm glad it's a new pair. I feel like Taew is able to show chemistry with a lot of her costars.

I like the opening ost but the closing ost is sooo darn smooth and sweet!
Can anyone translate p'Off interviews?

P'Au makes such a handsome professor.

So far, the one thing I'm majorly disappointed in is the characterization of the female students. They're written so wishy washy. I got all excited when they were introduced in ep 1 since I want to see more female representation in education and such in lakorn, and who knows the three gals might be geniuses when it comes to their studies but there's nothing to prove it. They don't go out to the temple site to dig with the guys, they wear heels to the forest, they look down on the food and spiritual beliefs of the local people. Seriously, they're studying archeology and anthropology, give me students a bit more realistic. They can't only be thinking about following guys around. And the gal playing Pim is overdoing her jealous facial expression.

Moving on, I'm spazzing over the nearly thousand year long love between Mae Nakee and Chaiyasing. They're so lovely in the flashbacks! Ken is adorkable as Phon. I like that he's getting so many flashbacks and visions.

I'm so curious about the village's traditions regarding Mae Nakee. They seem to respect and fear her, so I wondered why they would go after Kamkaew if she truly was the incarnate of Mae Nakee. But I suppose if people are getting hurt, they'll start a witch hunt. And apparently Taew plays 3 versions of the character, is that right? Kamkaew, Nakee, and a vengeful spirit of Nakee??

Oh that's what I forgot to rant about! I agree with you jjinx. Those girls are quite annoying. Although I find it entertaining at times, they're sooo disrespectful to the cultural beliefs and customs of the local villagers. The way they talk and act just makes it seem like they look down on them. I really dislike that. Like you mentioned, I wish there was better representation. I wanted at least one of the girls to be respectful and not so infatuated by trying to get the guys and all. Hopefully they get killed off my Mae Nakee soon or we get to see some character development. I'm hoping for character development haha.

I agree on the female students. At the beginning where we first met them I thought they were well educated students who sincerely enjoyed studying about human life, but I'm disappointed that they are just the typical annoying side characters. The three village mean girls are enough annoyance.

That one vision Phon had, of the dragon/snake in the water! That reminded me of an old Thai drama that was sort of a mixed Cinderella/mythical story where n'ek is a dragon princess. Those oldies were bomb, with the sound effects that sound like Godzilla 555.
Fingers crossed for character development but I won't get my hopes up. At least my Kamkaew stands up for herself and doesn't let herself get walked all over. I love love LOVE the calm and collected n'ek who couldn't care less about the opinions of snooty hi-so n'rai. lol. And there's something simply majestic about Kamkaew, even when she's not in her Mae Nakee form.
@Mannie, lol someone's got bloodlust.

P'Off was highly praising Taew. I forgot his exact words during the interview but it was along the lines of her being an excellent actress. She has the beauty, brains and talent, deserving to be adored and admired by the viewers. The feedback for this lakorn has exceeded beyond his expectations.

I wholeheartedly agree. Taew is such a versatile actress and a good role model for the younger generation. Even when she first started acting, the senior actresses were asked who they think is the next rising star. Anne, Benz, Aff, Chompoo and Mam all said Taew is the most prominent one who will go very far in the industry. Clearly their predictions were right. Her and Matt are sure standouts from their generation.

I hate snakes but I'm interest to know the story abt goddess snake etc. I don't understand why Mae Nakee show up look alike but its not kumkaew. Is she another character but is she bad cus she's killing people and want to get p'ek. Cus he's dreaming of her. Its funny and its laos.

I have to agree that Teaw is an amazing actress! Her acting is good, but for some reason I don't think she is pretty. One more thing that bother me is her voice. Anyways, I like this lakorn so far, can't wait for next episode!

What type of snake puerd is it. I thought cobra was known the highest snake there is. At least these snakes aren't gross and nasty scary looking like the american movies

I love the scenes with KamKaew and Tossapol, the dork teasing cold KamKaew works so I want more of them. I'm not feeling the past flashbacks with Nakee/Chaiyasingh yet. Too sappy for me but I'm hoping I'll like it better when they show how they met and fell in love.

I'm kind of surprised this lakorn really took off from ep.1. No koojin in sight, not a slap/kiss, not a series, not a remake etc. See Ch3, take note, all you need is a good script/production and decent actors in their respective roles and you get something pretty good with substance.
