Did I hear Got? Aum? Episode 3? I need to quickly watch Ep2 so I can get with they program haha.

I think the feminine look, James has down, but it's his overall demeanor that screams I am a man. You may take that as a compliment. Haha. He just needs to be more like the rest of the eunuchs. For example that rai eunuch. He's so rai yet sassy when he's mad and scheming Hahaha. Kanthong does not act like a eunich at all, he needs to step up his game because it won't be Nan who'll disclose their secret it'll be him. Even that eunuch Nan was talking to in Ep1 likes Kanthong. . . like huh? Doesn't make sense. Haja.

That's my understanding too. Supposedly ALL the men closely serving the royal women had to be castrated to prevent legitimate children.

EP 1:The plots is not that bad, but I feel storyline is a little fast and some part is a little confusing in the beginning. Interesting that Khan Thong (JJ) was a monk during when the Burmese invaded Siam and find out that his father was killed, he wants to get revenge. I really want to know how he become a monk and his relationship about his parents before the invasion started. It might hit with a flashback on upcoming eps. I hope it don’t jump around too much with flashback (It needed to make sense with the storyline)
The eunuch characters are very interesting, I do some research and I do learn few things through historical time about eunuch. Back to lakorn, 3 years later Khan Thong and his friend Nant (Phet) disguise as eunuch. I like Phet because his character his interesting I believe Nant act more as a eunuch than Khan Thong. Khan Thong, he like a serious (mature) person because the way how he talks and act that is normally not an eunuch would talk and act. I do wish the head eunuch teaches Khan Thong to act more like an eunuch before entering to the royal palace. He should be careful and not blow his cover, some people are very suspicious him already lol But I understand it either hard for him to act a certain way as an eunuch or he's not comfortable since he’s a man.
Mang Mao (Taew) Ahh she is very interesting person. I love how she thinks, act, stubborn, sassy, and strong women. My favorite part is when she is very straight forward of how she think of eunuch and kicking others lol There first interaction is cute, they already start little problem from each other

EP 2: Slow paced. I’m disappointed that James & Taew have less interaction. I hope the next ep shows more interaction. Now Khan Thong act as a eunuch now (a little), the way he approaches Aokya Wang (Diew) LOL Khan Thong probably do that just to scare him because Aokya Wang always have suspicious of him (thinking he’s a fake/spy) More characters are shown and some of them are not that interesting, but it was ok. I think it shows too much on Jao Jom (Natharika) on her plans and revenge issue.

Overall, all the actors and actresses did very well, especially the scene where JJ approaching Diaw a little (not bad) lol He still need to act more as an eunuch so he won't get any suspicious from others. Can’t wait to see next ep. (I’ll see how the storyline goes) Waiting to see King Taksin

I have no clue what the significance of Got’s character is but I would rather see him and Aum right now then Jaojom lol. The producer did pretty good picking her as Jaojom because man she is darn annoying.

Concerning the eunuch thing, I also thought it was the same way about the sexual feelings/attraction stuff. I guess it makes sense that they are attracted to men because they can’t produce children together.

Maybe what they're trying to do is show us that the eunuchs aren't manly by making them feminine. Haha. I wouldn't be surprise that Thai eunuchs were like this because Thailand does have a lot of katoey's in general who aren't even castrated. Haha.

Right? So far I think James is making a decent eunuch. He is prim and proper and knows how to serve the royalty so in that sense he is doing what a eunuch would do. Men turning gay just because their genitals are cut off sounds unrealistic to me. I think because this is Thai lakorn so they are using the feminine characteristics of a eunuch to bring comedy relief. Other than that, the eunuch gang seems like any typical jealous villain at the moment.

I am also excited for Aum to be revealed soon!

I finally finished episode 2. I'm usually those type of people who get excited the minute the Opening comes on so I was externally screaming for a good few seconds, but then got disappointed the whole OST didn't come on and went to some dark music. It doesn't bother me too much but the OST is my favorite out of all three lol. Anywho back to the Drama. MY OH MY! I am quite in love yet intrigued by everything. @phatman I think the eunuchs are my favorite so far too! It gives such comedic relief to a historical drama. Granted this is a different style of comedy from BPS, I sure do like it as much. Maengmao is mischievous but I like how she's clever and not just a girl who likes to run loose for fun. She definitely saved herself when Kla and those dudes tried to get her. Also, it doesn't help me that in Rak Nakara her name was MangMeun I get so confused . As for James, he's not doing bad. I like watching James' work but have never really noticed his feminine look until now. When he was about to leave the temple to seek out the truth and was talking to the Buddha, I realized that he didn't really look manly in that outfit. Idk he just didn't sell it for me. Regardless, the chemistry between JT is there and I get butterflies seeing them together for 30 seconds. The subber says JT just gets sweeter as the story progresses so YAY!!! Phet is so amazing in here. Oh how I've missed seeing him on screen. I LOL'ed the whole time when Diew was going to check if they were Eunuchs. Phet's facial expressions each time were so on point. He's so good at being a eunuch and I love it. I think so far I love Phet, Diew, Kik, Mam, and MangMao's family members including the Pranang.

What I don't like is Nampeung's storyline I suppose. Her story is going by fast and it's so confusing and annoying. They are not executing this part of the story well. It takes me at least a few episodes to connect faces with names but this one just keeps popping up names everywhere which is throwing me off. Also, we don't even really know what it is that's going on with them but it's annoying to have to watch them do random plans and talk about A LOT of stuff when we don't even really know the significance of most characters. I bare through a lot of stuff when watching Dramas so I could probably get through this storyline but urghh it's so irksome. Jaojom's lil bro too! He seems like a good guy for a minute and the next he's a mean guy who is trying to help them. They are the annoying kind of rai's in the story

Sorry for the long post everyone! Just thought I'd share my two cents on this as well. I can't wait for episode 3!! Aum Atichart and Got are coming LOL.

PS. I almost couldn't keep up with the time jumps in BPS but this one is just as tricky. Idk why James waited four years but since Idk Thai History well I'm just going with flow. Anyone who watched BPS, When that Burmese guy was telling First why the Burmese are better and talked about Phra Narai who is that again? My mind is drawing blank. Ok. I'm done here lol

Phra Narai is the king from BPS, I believe. So it makes sense that the Burmese guy was saying that the French were kicked out after Phra Narai's death.

Mangmao was telling her sis-in-law that she would hit her husband if he cheated on her. Lol KT seems like a one heart kind of guy so no worries there.

Eunuch gang can't handle KT's beauty.
They need to stick together though.... the real enemy is the Burmese which caused the fall of Ayuthaya. Would this story go that far?

Actually they weren't kicked out, they did have less influence though which annoyed them and that is why their version of history was not very favorable to that dynasty. They wrote that PraPhetRacha was very ambitious while Thai historian were conflicted.

Based from my understanding. It is to prevent them from having child(ren) or a family of their own. With the inability to have their own, it will make them more loyalty due to the condition that they are less likely to have conflicts about rising to power, own interests or protecting their own.
