It is said if it rains on Tanabata (Star Fest, Jul 7th), the magpie, whose role as the bridge for a weaver girl to cross the river to meet the cowherd, cannot come. So the 2 lovers must wait until another year to meet. So sad, tonight it rains hard here. However, it may not in Thailand and Japan. Finally, Noona has posted sth about Tanabata. May her wishes come true!

As I know..actually every years the 7th day of 7th lunar month, Qixi festival (also known as Chinese's Valentine day) fall on different dates..this year it fall on 13 August not today 7 July - source Wikipedia (normally it begin around July -August but the actual date will selected by according to the lunar moon)
However today is a date which Kobori has promised Ang that he will come to see her..so let's celebrate it together

@Jerry BieNoona If we follow Tanabata festival it should be begin today (preparation only)..okay let’s celebrate again on 13 August for our couple.. I wish I could fly to Japan and celebrate Tanabata festival there. Here in Malaysia, my Chinese friends also celebrate Lunar month but not grand as Tanabata festival.

I have read the tale when I was at first year of the secondary school..it's indeed a sad love story about two lover more touching than Romeo & Juliet love story. I just found out something new about Bie. More info about people who are worried that Bie wouldn't come back to the industry, Jack Fanchan on Woody Show said that Bie is coming back because Bie has a project at the end of the year. The project was already planned, but it can't be revealed yet. Happy to hear more good news that Bie is having a new project at the end of the year, I really want to know what it is.

I'm re-watching some of my favorite scenes of Koo Kum to celebrate and I will end it later by watching the death scene. Missing Kobori and Ang so much. They have become one of my favorite literary couples and I find their love story way more touching than Romeo and Juliet's. Too bad for us that Koo Kum is not translated into English. I would love read it. My friend has always told me that as much as I cry for the characters after watching the lakorn, she said that I would cry 100 times more if I read the novel.....the depths of Kobori's love were that great and poor Ang was so tortured by not being able to love the person she loves the most. Missing Kobori and Ang. :wub:
Yes, 07/07 is here now in the States. Now I can join you all for the Tanabata festival . It rained last night, but now a perfect day for the festival. Miss Ang & Koboli and BieNa so much. For me, Khu Kam is the best love story. I still watch Khu Kam and RJJ on the webs a lot. I cannot watch the end of Khu Kam the second time though... I cried my heart out the first time. I also do not like to watch the scenes when Ang was so mean to Koboli for the third times yet... Too much heartache for me. Which made me surprise that I love Khu Kam so much since I dislike sad movies. I often conclude that it is something in there about the chemistry of BieNa that their love was just so real. So Cheers to our Ang & Koboli, BieNa on this Tanabata festival. Yes, let's celebrate again in August And hopefully with many years to come for our Biena.

Yup, rewatching Koo Gam now and might just pull an all-nighter too. Even my Mom is rewatching it. She's in love with Bie too. Looks I got competition.

Aww glad to see all you ladies come in and discuss about this special day of Kobori&Angsumalin. so touch by their love for eachother. Koo Gum is such a very sad love story but so memorable. I especially love this version by Bie&Noona cause they make me believe that they love eachother so much.
So glad that Noona remember this day. but of course she will cause she love this book and the lakorn a lot. look like she wrote her wishes on paper and hang it on the tree. but blur it cause don't want to show what she wish for. I wish her and Bie the best in everything. love eachother for a long time and get to see them work together continuously.

From update on Jack fanchun make me more sure that Bie new project must be the musical "Luerd kut thee ya" with Noona. cause from exact's stage play lists, this is the last musical that plan to show toward the end of this year. and many hints that was out, Noona's mom said right now Noona practice sing/dance alone, waiting for pra'ek. and we know Bie is in monk hood right now. and fans saw Bie at the audition. and since april inside source kept saying Biena was book to pair up again but haven't decided yet which lakorn. and Khun Boy promise Biena will have a new project together but fans have to wait a bit. so all these info make me conclude Biena new project is the musical "Luerd Kut thee ya". should us international fans be more happy or sad?? but i'm happy to see Biena together again even though it's a tragic ending again and i may not get to see it (but we should see them go promote this play in tv shows/radio station/magazine together etc.). and happy for Biena that they will get to work together again. and sound like Khun Boy want to surprise the fans so kept this project so secret that even Noona said her new project she can't tell yet. I think Biena was told about this project before Bie even went to New York. cause when ask if they will have a new lakorn together they kept saying wait and see. and Bie went to N.Y. to studied about plays/singing must be for LKTY.

Noona and Bie's version will remain as my favorite and most beloved version of Koo Kum. It's definitely their electrifying chemistry that brings Kobori and Ang's love to life on-screen.
Screams Teedee, I love Noona's fans for giving her that gift. They are always not shy about hinting how much they love her with Bie and I love it that Noona is not shy about showing it off to us.
As for Bie maybe being the pra ek in Luerd Kattiya.......if it must be, then let it be, sad ending and all...........I know they will make the characters come to life. The only thing I will be sad about is that us international fans probably won't get to see it. I doubt that Khun Boy will release it on DVDs for us.

Looksy, yep i'm sure this version of Koo Gum make many people love so much because Biena has such explosive/real chemistry together. so make many viewers into Kobori/Angsumalin's love so easily/so much.

Oh, thank you so much for the news. So happy right now. Noona also remembered 07/07 and celebrated Tanabata festival with us. And the gift that Noona hugs... And the news about the stage play. I am soooooooo happy. Even if I won't get to see the stage play, they will get to spend time together practicing and playing on stage. This should even deepen their bond for each others.. We will also see them out promoting the play together, and we will get to see that.

Same here, I don't know what LKTY is about, would be great for info about the musical. I'm going to be super happy if Biena gets to work together even though it's a sad ending and I wouldn't get to see it. If Bie is going to play as pra'ek then what about Kangsom, I though he was going to be pra'ek. I think Kangsom isn't ready to play as pra'ek, so maybe Khun Boy thought that too, so Kangsom isn't going to be the pra'ek. I'm not really sure if it's true that Bie will play in LKTY the musical because he said that he wasn't going to have any musical this year.

I've never really liked this lakorn just because Anothai dies at the end. Aom and Tik did a great job but gosh. I hate tragic endings. 555 I watched the Thai version when I was little so I didn't really understand it but overall, I thought it was alright.
If it is confirm to be BieNa, if so, I think i would learn to love it in the same way I've learn to love Khu Kam because of them both. 555

I saw Aom&Tik version too. was touching and sad. was a beautiful tragic love story between a princess& a military man.
Maybe Bie was told to keep it a secret first until certain that he will get to play and will announce when it's official.
Kangsom may play as the prince. he's also another main character in this story too.
I think we should know by August who is really the pra'ek. I think is either Bie or Kangsom. but for certain nang'ek is Noona.
Even though is a sad ending but I still rather see Bie play with Noona than Kangsom anyday.
And I believe Khun Boy will chose Bie to be with Noona too. cross fingers.

As big of a fan I am of Aom, I've never seen Luerd Kattiya. I had a friend who was a fan of the lakorn give me a very detailed summary of the lakorn, but I didn't like it...........not because of the sad ending, but because I didn't understand why it was necessary for the pra ek to die. I never mind sad endings as long as it makes sense. I guess maybe I would need to see the lakorn/musical to fully comprehend the storyline. Anyways, if Bie and Noona do make this musical together, I'm sure the chemistry would be amazing. Plus, Luerd Kattiya was written by the same author of Koo Kum.
If Bie and Noona make this musical together, I honestly doubt that Khun Boy would release this musical on DVD, even if the fans highly request it. The reason that Rak Jab Jai the musical was released in theaters as Rak Jab Jai the Movie was because Exact/Scenario was celebrating the 5th year anniversary of Rachadalai Theater. Then with the popularity of Koo Kum and Bie & Noona, Khun Boy released it on DVDs for us, but for him to release another Bie and Noona musical, Khun Boy/Exact might be seen as playing favoritism because no other of Exact/Scenario musical has been released onto DVDs.

The death of pra'ek was a sacrifice for nang'ek to be the next queen of the throne. so I understand why he died. he love her so much that he can't see her get criticized for being in love with just a commoner guy like him and especially can't bear to see her get dismissed to become the next queen of the throne just because he's the cause of it. his love for her is so pure and unconditionally. Looksy, if you watch the lakorn you'll understand why pra'ek died at the end. but of course I rather pra'ek not died. but seem like this author love sad ending though. many of her books pra'ek or nang'ek died. and Khun Boy love sad ending too.
