But first of all, I just wanted to note that not only girls like Miss Hmong are fluent and pretty and smart.. there are many Hmong girls out there who are just as great as Miss Hmong.

But in my opinion, I think that your brother should go find his own girl. Let him take his time to find someone that he truly wants to be with.

Isn't there more to a hmong girl than her physical beauty and her ability to imitate Betty Crocker or Martha Stewart?

We, hmong women, are more than the baby-bearing, kitchen-slaving robots we've been reduced to. We're all unique whether we can cook, sew paj ntaub, speak a coherent word of hmong, or score a 30 on the ACT. Let's not reduce ourselves into simplistic labels like.. "good, smart, can cook, americanized, traditional.. ect." There's more to us beyond that. =)

BTW: I think it's a nice gesture on your part, threadstarter, in trying to find your brother a wife. Good luck on your search.
