Here is the website that I watched it from just last night...honestly i think the movie was pretty good as a mien person. My boyfriend is hmong though...and he says it's a pretty good movie too...but he said if he wasn't hmong then he probably would have not watched it and would have thought that it was a cheesy movie and i do agree with him. I think if your hmong then you would probably enjoy it but if not like for instance your a white person watching the movie you'd prolly not really like it. The end is pretty sad and the movie introduces alot of the hmong culture for people to see.

doesn't seem as bad as what some people thought it would turn out to be. i thought it was pretty good although i know the kid tao's acting was kind of off at times.

haha yea, i was like wth?! in the movie, they have everyone just sitting there surrounding the shaman like its a get together. not something you'd see in real life.

this movie was kinda....off.

And it's definitely my fault for my
own disspaointment. LOL. I mean,
there were it's good and boring
times but they really exxagerated
a lot of the situations that occured!
Is it just me but do Hmong ppl really
wear hmong clothes to funerals??

The hmong ppl were great though.
the boy BEE VANG is really adorable!

I thought it was sad. The ending was quite a surprise and unexpected. Yes, I agree that the OGs acting was dull and Thao's acting was off some time. But overall, I like it. We should support them.

I saw it and was not impressed at all... It wasn't that good, plus the hmong gang just bothers me... i feel like it further ruins the hmong's reputation that we have gangs like those that do exist... just my opinion!

this time on the Vietnam war, but from the Hmong's view/side...
and how we helped them and stuff...
that would be good and i would watch it!

i hope someone makes a movie like that
but if there ever was one made..
there will still be a lot of things that they will leave out

the reason why hmong people are here in the US was because of that war
and many people do not know anything about hmong people
so.. it might be a good idea...

in earlier post, i complain about the whole HMONG DRESSING up part.
anyway, in the old old day, back in laos, ppl does wear NICE BRAND NEW HMONG COSTUMES to funeral.
i ask my mom and dad who live in LAOS and they said that ppl wore them ^^
it's just funny now in the modern world b/c we dont' often see ppl do this kind of stuff ..

there needs to be some kind of documentary or movie to tell a story...
hmong people are not even in history books..

so i went to see it in theater today, and omg! it was hella packed! all older american ppl... me n my sis were the only hmong ppl in ther. haha!

Horrible movie. The asian "actors" were horrible. Played on stereotypes, and it was predictable. Not sure why Clint Eastwood bothered with it.
