Hi!!!
So, I'm almost out of school and what is more fun than to start something new that keeps me busy.
I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to teach me some sentences in Thai. LOL. Teach me how to speak Thai, basically.
It would be so great if I can learn some phrases so I can pick them up in the lakorns that I will be watching over the summer.
Ok. So, here are some that I would like to know...if any one can help translate them to me in Thai... please don't write it in the Thai language because all I will be able to grasp is the squiggly art of what you translated...haha. THANKS.

1. When are you coming back?
2. I will definitely come back for you. There is no way I am going to just leave you here.

The author seemed very young and cool. In the book he teaches you how to curse and he added some sex terms and etc. He has a good point when he introduced himself. If I could find the book I will post it up [if I remember too] I already know the simple basic of speaking and I don’t think I would want to learn how to write yet since my Thai vocabularies are still very little.

I'm taking this thai classes offered by LanguageDoor.com. it 8 weeks about 2 hrs a day (once a week). It cost me $220. since i've taken that class i can understand and watch movies in thai and make out what they are saying. pretty cool!

chan mai rue = I don't know
chan yak pai = I want to go
gin a rai? = what are you eating?
khun ja pai nai khuen nee? = what are you doing tonight?
khun ja pai nai? = where are you going?
Pai gin tee nai? = where are you eating?
rue mai? = you know?
thou rai? = how much?
tum a lai? = what are you doing?
tum a rai kuen nee? = what are you doing tonight?
tum tee ngan = i am at work

Helpful words:
Phohm - I; me [for male speakers]
chanR - I; me [for female speakers]
khoonM – you
khaoR - he; she; they
raoM – we

i guess every time there is a sentence ending with "mai" or "rue" it refers to a question.

haha, no no we would love to hear you lol...some of us would like to know how a thai teenager talks...haha...i've heard one of my friend talk in thai but i couldn't make out whether it was polite or slang-language...

Skies...just remember this "Chan ruk khun"...this is what you will say when you meet your fave thai actor! LOL

you know what is funny? some thai words are very similar to khmer...for example khun son ya (i promise), khmer is kyom son ya. There are lots of word that are similar and are exactly the same.

ter and khun are different thing..."ter" is like kind of word you would use with someone you know/fimiliar with. it roughly translate to "you" in english. whereas "khun" is "mr. miss. ms." etc in english.
