lol I'm not worried, I grew up on the Gulf Coast (a small town, 30 mins. from Corpus Christi, I lived literally, just across the street from the beach), and for all the years that I've lived there, we've only had to evacuate once. I live in Houston now, and I keep seeing signs on the highway telling drivers to keep their gas tank full because it's hurrican season, yeah, like that's going to happen -- not with the gas prices these days.
Anyway, we tend to just get a lot of rain, which is normal, strong winds and flooding in certains parts -- other than that I think we're okay here.
People living at the curve, ie. Lousiana coast and Galveston should probably be more worried. Don't forget to stock up on fresh water!
