“..master , it hurt ..” she cries out as her body twist and arch with vicious cramps inside her stomach . Blood gush out of her , staining the white gown and the rain washes the blood into soil . Her lip was pale and turning blue , her body shiver as the demon gather her up into his arm and carry her across the field .
“..no, it just a little pain . It will go away . I‘ll call for the doctor . ”
“..im afraid . What about our child ?..” her voice was shaken and then another sharp pain shoot thru her body , she moan and twist in his arm .
“..shush , don’t scar me . You and the baby will be alright ..” he step into the mansion and shouted “ ..someone go get the doctor ~ danm it ! ..”
Tai run toward the couple and ask “ ..my god ! What happen !!..”
“..get the doctor ! Hurry !!..”
“..what about the wedding ? Everyone is looking for you..”
“..to hell with the wedding ! Go !!..”
Tai immediately left . The demon walk down the hallway with Prisana in his arm . He look down at her face and saw the pain she was in , he was nearly in tear and his lip begin to tremble . Several servant that passes them gasp in horror and one even came walk along them and ask “ ..is she going die ..”
His temper steam and roar into the servant man face , causing him to fumble back and fall on his bottom and he quickly got up and run to inform Ms.Nawahdee . Rina listen to their conversation and said , “ ..what ! ..”
“..she was bleeding !..” cries the servant man .
Everyone in the room froze . Ms. Nawahdee rise from the chair and approach the platform to face all the guest , “ ..there seen to be some problem the groom have to handle at the time being and can not be present . I’m sorry but--”
“..no ! the wedding must goes on ! I’ll go get him !..” shouted Rina and run out the room . Ms. Nawahdee smile weakly at the audience and excuse herself to follow behind the bride . All mistresses grin cheerfully while the guest wonder what was going on with bride and groom.
Meanwhile , the demon had lay Prisana on the bed and one servant came in with a bowl of warm water and towel . The servant girl use the towel to wash the blood on Prisana’s thigh and leg but there was so much . The whole bed sheet was like a pool of blood . The demon kneel beside the bed and grab a hold of his lover’s hand , kissing it hard and whisper , “ ..the doctor will be here shortly. You have to stay strong ..”
She nodded her head and squeeze her eye shut as another pain sink in , her head thrash back and fore on the pillow . The door flung open and Rina march in and demanded “ ..you must goes down stair and finish our wedding !..”
“..go away Rina before I hurt you ..” his voice was hard and serious .
“..what is going on here !? You can come back to this later but our wedding must go on ..”
“ ..I say go away !!!!..” he shouted and then return his attention back to Prisana , wiping the sweat off her forehead with his hand while the servant girl continue to clean Prisana’s body.
Ms. Nawahdee walk in and was shock to see so much blood on the bed , “ ..w-what happen !..”
“..She fell . Nana was trying to kill her. If I haven’t goes out back to search for Prisana I wouldn’t have save her on time ..”
“ ..what the hell ! Why in the world would she do such a thing ! This is not normal for a pregnant woman to bleed this much !! My grandchild !! Did someone went to get the doctor !!!..”
“..Tai had left already ..”
Ms. Nawahdee walk toward the bed and grab Prisana ‘s hand to feel the pluses . Then she reach for the young girl forehead and said “ ..she having a fever , this is not good . Changes these wet clothes immediately !..”
The servant girl run to the closet and grab a gown , then return to the bed . The demon help undress Prisana and the servant girl put the new gown on while Rina stand a side with her jaw drop . Everyone completely ignore her .
“..what is the meaning of this !! What about my wedding !!..” cries Rina , stumping her foot and then scream , “ ..Ms. Nawahdee ! Do something or else I’ll tell everyone about--
“..shut up !!..” shouted Ms. Nawahdee , then close her to restrain the angry that arising . The demon look up at his mother suspiciously and then back at Rina , obviously there is something the two is hiding from him and perhaps it’s what cause his mother to fear Rina.
“..Aum..” she said calmly , “ ..go downstairs and continue with the ceremony . I’ll take care of everything in here ..”
“..NO!..” reply the demon and bring his worry eye down to Prisana , gripping her hand tightly in his and whisper , “ ..im not leaving you again ..”
“..do what I say , if you want to keep calling me mother . It your choice ..” said Ms. Nawahdee and then she look down on Prisana and ask “..do you want to come between a mother and a son ? ..”
Prisana was in tear not only because of the pain that throbbing in her belly but also the thought of not being with the demon if indeed this is her last breath , she felt her life is draining away . She had heard of mother dying during miscarriage and she fear this is one of them because the pain is unbearable but she also doesn’t want to see a mother and son argue over little matter because of her , even though she is hurting right now seeing the smile of satisfaction on Rina’s face. With the remaining strength she have left , she said “..please , go . I’ll be fine ..”
“..no, no , ..” he shake his head violently as tear begin to flow down his face .
“..if you do not go, I will hate you ..hate you for the rest of my life..”
“..Prisana --”
“..go…please ..I beg you..”
The demon slowly let go of her hand and rise . He turn to Rina angrily and then back to his mother “..take care of her , please . She is my life . If anything happen to her , I will not live to see another night. Promise me . Take care of her .”
“..I will do my best ..” reply his mother and watch the couple leave , then return her attention to young girl on the bed . There was to much blood that it seen impossible for a child to survive ! Tai came into the room and the doctor was close behind . Immediately the doctor put down his medical box on the foot bed and examine the girl .
“..this is not good , madam..” said the doctor
“..what do you mean ?! You must save my grandchild !..”
“..im afraid it might be to late . How far is she in the pregnancy ..”
“..6 months ..”
“..o’ dear , to early ..to early ..”
“..what do you mean ? ..”
“..it to early to deliver the baby ! But if she continue to bleed at this rate I will have to perform an emergency cesarean section..”
“..no, you are allow to perform such operation !..”
“..but madam’ it the only way to save the child life if not the mother ..”
“..no!..” shouted Ms. Nawahdee and pace the room , she walk toward the window and look up into the sky , there was no moon visible because of the dark cloud and rain fall. A vampire baby can only born during a full moon because this is when the child absorb energy from the ray and fully alive. If a cesarean was to occur without the moonlight the child will die regardless if once brought into the world . Ms. Nawahdee turn around and watch the young girl moan in pain , the doctor was giving her shot to reduce the tension . Ms. Nawahdee have no choice left and shouted “..everyone leave the room ..NOW..”
“..this is outrage , I need to treat my patient --”
“..leave !! Tai take the doctor to the guest and wait for my word ..”
“..yes madam ..” said Tai and escort the doctor out the room , the servant girl silently follow behind them and close the door . Ms. Nawahdee walk toward the bed and said “ ..listen , though I despise you but your life is important to my son and my grandchild . I had hid this secret for over 30 years and you must promise not to reveal it , especially to Aum ..”
Prisana ‘s vision was getting blurry from the pain reliever shot that the doctor injected in her body and she can only make out half of what the old lady said but she immediately understand what it meant when the old lady appear again with fang coming out of her mouth . Prisana was getting sleepy as her body begin to relax , it was like floating on cloud and the pain had disappear but she felt something moving in her stomach , perhaps it the baby ? She smile . Just then she tasted something wet and plain , no taste or texture but it run like water into her mouth and empty into her throat. Prisana try to keep her eye open to see what was going on but her lid felt heavy , everything was like a dream .
The next morning the rain had stop and the sun was out . Last night wedding ceremony became the most talk about topic in the town . The demon and Rina went thru the blessing event without any disturbance . Afterward , the demon left Rina to sleep alone while he went back to his chamber and found Prisana soundly asleep on the bed . He didn’t understand what happen nor was there anyone in the room to tell him but one thing he was sure , she was safe . The bleeding had stop , the bed sheet was change and there was no sign of blood anywhere . He drop to his knee beside the bed and cling on to her body thru out the whole night . When Prisana awaken she saw his head on the bed beside her and his hand was still holding her . She try to move but there was a small pain on her pelvis causing her to fall back into the pillow , she immediately touch her belly and a tearful smile stretch across her face. She was still pregnant. She was so happy she begin to cry and the sound starlet the demon .
“..what wrong ? !..” he was fully awake and reach out to caress her face .
“..our baby is safe ..”
“..yes , very much ..” he got up and sat on the bed , his arm went behind shoulder and slowly push her upward while stacking two pillow to support her back . Then after she was comfortable they stare into each other eye , with happiness and smiles .
“..did you know your mother is--” she stop
“..she what ?..”
Prisana became silent . Obviously he did not know his mother is a vampire . She recall the word Ms. Nawahdee had spoken to her and decided not to tell the demon the secret. Another question arise . If a vampire can only breed with human and the demon father is a vampire ..how can his mother is a vampire too ? It doesn’t make scent -- unless Mr. Nawahdee isn’t the demon biological father ! His father must be human -- but who ?! Is this the secret Ms. Nawahdee been hiding ? If that’s the case , this mean she and the demon isn’t ..blood related ! She smile in relieve but then her heart begin to ache , she notice the demon still had on his groom suit from last night which mean ..he is married. She said softly , “ ..nothing ..”
“..I have not seen my mother since last night . I wanted to ask her if the doctor came and if he did what did he said and is there any medicine for you take ?..”
“..the doctor did came and he give me a shot . That was all I remember ..”
“..I will send him large sum of money for saving you ..”
Prisana was quiet . She know it wasn’t the doctor treatment that save her but something else did and she wasn’t sure what it were that she taste last night . All she remember was Ms.Nawahdee’s transformation and her words.
