mouse problem

i have trouble controlling my mouse. it just wont go where i point at. and it hard to move. can some one please help. oh if i going to buy a new one can i just buy any of it or do i have to buy the one that have the same name as my computer.

Is your mouse an optical mouse? The one with the red light at the bottom? If not, that's probably the reason.

If its a ball mouse.. then open it up and clean it.. that should be ok.

If its optical then thats a big problem.
