RIP Por

Ms.Zoe

.: Lady Huo :.
I support Por's family to take legal actions against people who spread false rumors about him too. First it is people putting Mali's face on tshirts without Por family's consent & now this. Unbelievable, what these people could do, will do. I guess they are profiting that why they don't care if their actions are inappropriate, unacceptable, malicious. Por's family have been under a lot of stress & now these problems, give them a break. I hope a lawyer will volunteer to help his family out. I hope they will win their case. And make this a lesson to others to not spreading rumors especially rumors about someone's death when they are still living.

Aww glad he's smiling. I know what it feels like to be hospitalized for so long, nothing to smile about but glad he is smiling. Seems like nong Mali is going to be a superstar lol. She's so cute in that clip Mint posted on her IG. Makes me want a baby girl :)

Por's undergoing another urgent lung surgery tomorrow for his left lung. His infection is bad. Please pray for Por. His family is planning to change his name to get rid of all the bad things that has happened. They're currently waiting for an auspicious day to pick a name and will let everyone know once it's changed. His manager said it's a superstitious belief; it really depends on whether one believes it or not. But it doesn't hurt to try. Moreover, Ohm Atshar (Rome Patchata) also had his name changed when his father fell ill due to cancer. Now his life has gotten much better so maybe it'll work.

Thank you so much Mahalo for always translating news and keeping us up to date with Por's condition.

I feel so sad along with his family.          :cry1:  :cry1:

My thoughts and prayers will be with his family and friends during this most difficult time.

I say do whatever makes you and or the family feels better. When I was really sick my mom had my name changed too and I got better. Personally I believe it's science/medicine that got me better but my mom believed otherwise so who am I to challenge her. As long as she's smiling, I'm smiling. B)

So guys, I think the surgery was done to remove his left lung since it's so badly infected. It interferes with providing Por oxygen through the ventilator and he needs oxygen to recover. I wasn't too sure while reading this yesterday but since the doctor has come out to speak on how a person can function with one lung, it kind of confirms it. Apparently, many people can live with one lung, such as lung cancer patients who have had one lung removed due to their condition. The person can still live life normally. However, they just can't do heavy labor as before. The doctor said nature has given us more lungs than we need so living with one is possible.

In addition, the surgery was successful. Por is still in critical condition. He's receiving nutrients through the IV. His kidneys are still being purified through a dialysis machine and his eyes are responsive. He's receiving blood pressure medications again. If there are any other significant changes, they will make an announcement.

I don't think he'll be able to act again. I hope he has many successful businesses in the works to provide a stable income.

Por hasn't awakened from surgery. He will need a couple days to recover. They are monitoring him closely for infections. His family are trying their best to stay strong. They go make merit and pray for Por daily. We'll have to wait for the doctors to come out and give more details on his condition. In addition, nong Mali will go to a charity event in place of Por because he had promised to attend.

I'm wondering whether all these surgeries could've been prevented if better care was provided. Idk, they first cut off his foot and now they removed his lung. Like what's next? These were all infections that developed during his hospital stay. I know they're trying their best but maybe he needs more advanced care from outside of the country.  It's expensive so I'm irrational with my suggestion, but I honestly don't know how long he can fight before something else becomes removed.

Actually, I don't blame you Mahalo, I was thinking that too. I mean, as I have said before, Dengue Fever is quite a common disease in tropical countries. heck, my office mate got dengue the other week and now she's back in the office after 5 days in the hospital. Of course, Por's dengue surely have been a worse strain than that which affected my office mate, but still, I've never heard anyone have it as severe as Por, and to think he's been in the hospital for weeks/months now. I think something else might have happened either in the hospital (I dunno... negligence? misdiagnosis? accident?)  or in Por's body (extreme complications, maybe allergies or other underlying illness that we're not aware of) that made his condition far worse than it was supposed to be. I really hoped there would be a Christmas miracle. Maybe when his name is changed something will happen. I don't know Por, and I've never seen any of his work, but after following this thread for so long, I've grown to care for him. I really hope he pulls through and lives a livable life.

This is just terribly sad. He won't be able to do lakorns as it would take a while to recover and heal properly. I think the infection spreads differently for everyone. Por might have not been healthy at the time he caught dengue. i.e. lack of sleep, fatigue, etc. we don't know. Thailand has had dengue breakouts a lot in the past 5 years. For some ppl it's pretty severe, for others they could recover much quicker. I just pray Por can get through this.

He has a rice business. I remember him talking about how he bought some land to plant and harvest rice. Hopefully he has other things lined up. At least his rice business can be managed by his father and probably his wife. They have machines to do the planting and harvesting. He wouldn't need to personally oversee it.

His wife could probably take on some work in the industry.... he might not want her to but if they were really struggling, it's just another way to help pay the bills.

Thanks for always updating us Mahalo!

Well they did say that about 2% of those with dengue are very severe and it led to death. . I think they said he has severe Dengue fever right which is why he continues to have internal bleeding.

Yeah, it has lead to death for some. That's why I think Por is very lucky to be fighting for this long. I pray he stays strong.

I have a different view..I can completely see why especially his loved ones want to keep him alive..but sometimes at what cost is this to someone like Por? What will his quality of life be like? He used to be a healthy strong man who provided for his family. I am sure he took pride in that responsibility. Now he has one lung, one foot and requires dialysis due to renal failure..will he be able to work? are the docs keeping him alive but prolonging his suffering?? His life expectancy will be much shorter now...my heart goes out to his family but sometimes keeping someone alive isn't always the best thing for them..just my honest opinion.
