Days goes by so quickly like rushing water as she waited for Harit. There was no letter or telegram from him. Nothing. Sorina notice the sadness in her sister and would try to comfort her by assuring Harit will return home very soon , the problem at Puket is still at large . Harit is probable very busy and doesn’t have the time to write . Soripa would burst into tear and hug her sister , it probable is true …he to busy to make time for her . If his wife mean something in his heart , he will find way to contact her but this ..nothing.
Sorina was surprise at how much her sister change during the last several months. It unlike Soripa to be this emotional and sensitivity …had her sister fall in love with their servant boy ? The one person she despise and full of animosity toward ? She decided not to question her sister but if Soripa really love Harit, it would be impossible . Father will not agreed to have him as a son in law and after Soripa give birth to a son , Harit will have to leave .
Meanwhile at Puket, the problem with the local haven’t been resolve . Near by village is complaining about the rice price. It had sky rocket nearly 5 x in a month , making average fisherman and farmer force to protest in front of the plantation to reduce the cost or else their family will be starve . Harit calm the protester and promise to investigate the issue . The village people have doubt in him and attack the plantation’s employee that was holding them back from entering the warehouse . The village people rampage through the warehouse carrying bags and bags of rice out . Fights among both side became dangerous and physical as the polices barge in to take control of the situation . Harit was injury and was stab in the back by one of the village people…..
One night , Soripa have a bad dream and wake up panting . She thought about Harit and wonder if he was safe down at Puket . It been almost 2 months and he haven’t contact anyone at Artkapon yet . She look down on her belly and softly rub the mount , the baby was kicking her hand making her laugh . Is the baby telling her to go back to sleep ? She smile and she wish Harit was here to experience this delighted creature that growing inside of her . If …he ever come back . Just thinking about Harit make her sadden again . Stupid severat boy !!! Left without a word and she was a fool to give herself to him so easily . Of course any man will seize the chance to full fill his desire and enjoy the pleasure . The humiliation of it all , her pride is hurt and step on by a man she once think was just a lowly dog . When will she stop hurting herself and forget about this stupid man .
