^I actually think Silamanee is dragging a bit so I'm glad that it's ending soon. I mean, things have already been resolved all around besides Parote, Ngam, and Samerjai so the upcoming episode should be good. Okay, Samerjai is crazy, literally.
Anyway, I too wanted to choke Ngam for being so mean to Parote in Episode 15 but she totally redeemed herself in Episode 16 as she was willing to pass the throne to the cousin, forcing Jao Chai Gawin to end the engagement. That's a pretty wise decision to enter that route for Ngam. Once Ngam realized how much she hurted seeing how Parote hurted due to her and that revenge wasn't as sweet as it sounds, Ngam really regretted. Perhaps Ngam didn't regret the usual way like how all nang'akes do by crying but being the strong person that she is, she did shed a few tears but didn't ask for a pity party. Instead, she remained strong and refused Jao Chai Gawin indirtectly. Directly would be saying NO, let's end the engagement but after the Parote ordeal, she didn't want to be a person who lied and went back on her words because she is the pride/respect of Chiangrath as Jao Ying, someone who needs to keep their words so it's understandable that she went through with the engagement thing with Jao Chai Gawin.
I just thought it was really sweet and sincere of Ngam to sacrifice the throne for 1. She didn't want Jao Chai Gawin to gain power and the land of Chiangrath through the marriage. And 2. Ngam said that this was the last route to indirectly refuse the marriage as the cloth thing didn't work, which means, Ngam was willing to lose the throne so she could be free and for once, follow her heart. Well, that's how I looked at it. ^_^
Jao Chai Gawin is so sweet. Plus, Dong is pretty cute so he makes Gawin even sweeter, eye candy, just a bit too short.
What he said about Silamanee and Jao Ying Saengfang was sad and sweet. I felt quite sorry for him when he said that even though he's royalty, he still has a flesh heart like all the rest so he wishes Jao Ying Saengfang would end her love affair with Parote. Sadly, he couldn't win thus returned the Silamanee.
I really really like this version, it's very thorough and actually builds on Gawin too. Gawin would be such a great man but it just wasn't meant to be with Ngam. The cousin was cute too; he loved Ngam but wasn't obsessed like the last version. He always protected, understood, and supported Ngam through all of the situations without expecting any type of feeling in return. All of the guy characters do have their own flaws but for the most part, they're pretty decent guys. They're all rich, well mannered, believe that marriage must be based on love, and don't cling around too much, they have lives too. Pretty good lakorn overall. ^_^
