Despite my dissatisfaction in the progression of the plot towards the last 6 episodes, I enjoyed the last two episode even though I find it lackluster. If the writernim never did the whole Chief one sided love, the two last episode would have been a perfect conclusion to the story.
I don't think I will mope on how much I dislike this drama turnout, instead I will spazz on the fan service the writernim and actors have provided to me with the last two episode. I enjoyed every moment with CM and JH especially with the scene of CM outside JH's patio. I had to rewatch that scene because I can feel CM's desperation of wanting to ahem you know what haha CM pouting like a cat on the gliding window door... that was just pure gold.
I said I was not going to mope but I guess I lied a bit. The writernim sure rushed on Chief and Dr. Shim. I was expecting Chief to follow his dad to Haiti (actually I don't remember which country his father was in) and be a doctor there. WIth Dr. Shim I expected her to leave Korea. And then two years later after Chief spend some time in whatever country his dad is in goes to find her somewhere in the United States. That would have made a better ending for this couple. Is that even appropriate to say that they are a couple just because of their past together? LOL
What I appreciate is how the two mothers allowed their children to solve their own issue without meddling. Plus it was none of their business to begin with.
All in all, they left us with an open ending, not the negative one but on a positive note. I'm glad that CM and JH both didn't rush to marry again, but I hope it does not turn out that way in Cunning Single Lady. CSL has done a better job at keeping the humor in and melodrama out at bay. Well let just say the comedic (somewhat slap stick) balance out the angst (maybe that is why I am emotionally in a wreck). If you enjoy somewhat of EC, you might enjoy CSL a bit more.
