What have they done to her?! Is it what I think it is?
Gotta find out at the end. I can't reveal it. It goes with what Chaos is trying to do in this whole novel. Tim did have a vision inside the cave with the Taoist.
Green, yellow, orange, and red foliage dotted the Wisconsin landscape as autumn was officially underway. The sea of golden and red leaves was a great sight to see. It was as if Tim and Brianna was walking through their own version of Alice in Wonderland. The air was crisp and squirrels could be seen gathering their acorns for the long winter months ahead. Tim, Brianna, and the gang were safe and sound as they made flew from Phuket to Oak Creek. Life in Wisconsin was tranquil and peaceful compare to the hectic and fast pace lifestyle that they had to endure in various cities that they’ve visited this past summer.
“How do you like it here?” said Tim, as he put he put his windbreaker cover Brianna’s shoulder. “I know it’s not what you’re used to.”
“It’s very refreshing,” she smiled. “It reminds me of the Irish country side. People are more laid back.”
Tim was delighted that she felt that way. Even though, Tim enjoyed the city, it was something about nature that captivated him since he was a child.
“Yes, we are very laid back in Wisconsin. We love our cheese, brats, beers, and the Packers.”
“Who are the Packers?” she asked.
There was a sparkle in his eyes. “I gotta take you to Green Bay then you can see for yourself. This is our version of the EPL.”
Tim flipped through his phone to show Brianna America’s beautiful game – football.
“Oh,” said Tim. “You gotta try the brats here. Especially the beer brats, they are to die for.”
The two of them continued to walk through the woods until they’ve reached a patch of trees standing side by side in columns. Branches from each
columns reached towards each other as they created a majestic walkway with golden leaves lining the ground. Tim was ready for the special occasion as he got Connor and his mom’s blessing to ask Brianna for her hand in marriage.
“Close your eyes for a second,” Tim whispered to Brianna. “I wanna give you something.”
He held her hands firmly and got on his knees. “A Leprechaun told me to give this to you.”
Tim gently and softly placed the ring into the palm of her hands as Brianna opened up her eyes to a beautiful diamond ring that was sparkling in the sunlight. It was breath taking a moment and the special occasion felt like heaven was raining down its blessing on them. The columns of trees created a narrow pathway before reaching a wooden wagon decorated with Aster, Goldenrod, Perennial sunflower, and Helenium flowers.
“Our love should be like this small pathway,” smile Tim. “I wanna grow old with you. Through thick and thin. For rich or poor. And through all of the stormy weathers.”
Tim places her hands on his heart. “Now, would you make me the luckiest guy in the world?”
Brianna was teary eyed. Her heart begun to beat at a rapid pace and she almost couldn’t compose herself. “Are you ready for all my faults? My imperfections? My jealousy? And are you ready to take me as I am?”
Tim slowly got up and wraps his arms around Brianna. “If I have to travel the seven seas. And if I have to break through the castle walls. I will be there with you until my last breath in this world.”
Brianna was not sure that Tim was truly that special guy for her. Tim was not just her lover, her friend, but he was her soulmate. “Then it would be my pleasure to accompany you for the rest of your life.”
Tim was so ecstatic. It was as if he had just hit the jackpot and his prize was his fiancé Brianna. Tim swung her round and round in the air as a great joy and happiness circulated through his whole body.
“Hold on. I gotta another surprise for ya,” said Tim, as he pulls her towards the horse drawn wagon.
“Is that what I think it is?” said Brianna.
“Yup,” smiling brightly Tim. “Meet our guide. He’s going to be guiding her wagon ride through the trails.”
“Nice to you madam,” said the guide. “You’re one lucky lady. We’re got everything ready to go.”
Unbeknown to Brianna, Tim had secretly booked a weekend getaway in a remote cabin in the Northwestern part of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Dells was known to have a large number of attractions including the largest indoor and outdoor waterparks in the US. But Tim was interested in all of as he just wanted to spend quality time with Brianna cruising down the Wisconsin River.
Back in Oak Creek, Uncle Jin had to ship Fernando and Ayumi off before the Lintao could bring Kate. It was in Kate’s best interest that Fernando was off in Chicago spending the weekend there with Ayumi. The Navy Pier, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, and Lincoln Park Zoo were a couple of attractions that Ayumi wanted to check out.
“You two be safe down there,” said Uncle Jin. “Eat lots of food for me.”
“Benny, Lei. Ya better watch my uncle,” said Fernando. “I want to enjoy my weekend with my love without having to stress out.”
