it still classed as rape because she’s Vulnerable and hasn’t got the capability . He knew she wasn’t capable by the state of her ,doesn’t mean he has to go ahead with it. I don’t know abt u but in England, it still classed as rape.

also u can watch it with English subtitle from neko meow meow website
In Germany too, if you are not able to state your consent, it is considered as rape
In Sweden they consider it as rape if you dont ask your partner for his/her consent before sex. Which is revolutionary, if you ask me.

I think the lakorn shows really good how dangerous the blurred lines of drunken sex are. He as well was drinking and in a state where he couldn't make a probier judgement

I don’t know where to watch this lakorn since it’s not on YouTube, but I’ve watched all the highlights Ch7 uploaded. Am I missing something here? Doesn’t even look like a rape scene. Yeah, she’s drugged, but not unconscious AND...was an active participant. Did he know she was drugged? If not, I feel bad for how everyone is treating him as a rapist. She seemed to enjoyed it & did not seem like she did not consent.
Not even once that p'ek talked to n'ek directly before he helped her to his room. She couldn't even walk on her own without any support. The deal went on between him and Pam. That in itself should have raised a red flag. Money was passed over to Pam. N'ek didn't consent to anything. She only seems like an "active participant" is because of the drugs. He didn't know that she was drugged but he was happy enough to bed an intoxicated women without having any conscience. His friend Gun even mentioned that p'ek goes to bars often to meet women. He fell in love with n'ek after having a one night stand and that she's a virgin.

I can understand where Gun is coming from when it comes to him choosing to distant himself from Prin and not believe him. He knows his past history best, so of course when the truth is out it is not hard for many people to drop that kind of friend. The only wrong Gun committed is taking advantage of the situation to get the girl and also being a hypocrite. He tells Prin to stop meddling in his and Mitra's "business" (like they even have any) yet he goes and tries to have a word in Prin and Mitra's business. Also, he gets way too touchy with Mitra when they've literally just known each other and that's just too creepy. Depite this, Gun is still annoying though. I've been so annoyed of him. I can't wait until he finds out that Mitra and Prin already have kids. lol Also, I absolutely love how Traitor's name is basically what kind of person his character is. I'm so done. HAHA.

Anyways, what Prin did is definitely rape. Any non-consensual sex is rape. I honestly did not understand how or why he came to "love" her already after one night together. Let alone Mitra too. I don't know. I just don't see the love development. Wish they had worked on that instead of just expecting us to take it as it is. Don't get me wrong though. I am absolutely enjoying this lakorn. It definitely keeps me going these day. lol I guess Kem and Mookda's oozing chemistry is blinding me from all the flaws. lol This is actually my first Kem lakorn. I had seen people mention him here on AF so many times but never checked him out. Wow, he's doing pretty darn good for the new p'ek generation. I'm impressed and now a fan. lol I remember watching Mookda's lakorn with Bank back when it aired. She's actually doing amazing, lots of improvement. Can't wait for the next few episodes though.

in the end parin is paying hard for his sin and he will keep paying until mitra forgive him and accept to start over with him so until then the pain of the sin will continue , although it make nooo sense to me how from one night he is falling that hard for her and search her for 3 years and easily telling her when he thought she is ploy that he love her but it's lakorn world

Well, maybe love can be like that, you just feel bounded to someone, without any apparent reason. I wouldn’t know ‘cause I’ve never been in love (thank God for that, that scares me too much). But I guess love at first sight can happen

but I’m starting to wonder : how is it that this lakorn raises so much polemics (due to the kinda-rape thing),and yet, it seems people still love it (well, they love it and they hate it at the same time).
Even I who hates sexual assaulters more than everything (and I disliked the original novel) and yet, I LIVE for this drama (can’t decide if it is because it’s Kem and Mookda or if it is because the male lead obviously regrets, pays and loves the female lead very much)

I think you could still love it while accepting the flaws. I mean we grew up watching lakorns like Sawan Biang and Jam Loey Ruk and those were way worse. If we keep pointing out it’s flaws and what is wrong with the opening episode then it makes hard to enjoy anyways haha it’s like we’re passed that now. But I love the sexual assault and abuse awareness in this thread. We know that realistically speaking it’s wrong but for a lakorn and knowing who p’ek and n’ek is, it’s acceptable but only for lakorn sake haha. Also this kind of storyline has been prevalent in Thai lakorns but how the revenge and angst happens is a bit different with p’ek and n’ek meeting. I actually am grateful for the difference and it makes it more interesting to watch than the old n’ek family owing p’ek family sort of deal or anything dealing with money. We know no one needs money in this lakorn LOL. I’m probably one of the rare ones but this lakorn has helped me see where both n’ek and p’ek are coming from. That’s what I enjoy about it since I’m not too one sided but I am more of a Prin bias because how he shows his love hahaha

Oh and don’t get me started on Prom Pissawat. No rape happened in there but that lakorn pisses me off to the max. I despise Pon more than anyone in this lakorn and that says a lot since there are some pretty bad characters lol

Actually, rape happened just today :BangHead: and unlike Parin, Pol didn’t seem to feel remorse or to realize how terrible his action was

it’s funny that you mention Jam Loey Rak, because I could totally see Kem and Mookda in a remake of Jam Loey Rak (but one that would be faithful to the original, unlike the 2008 version : in the original novel, the leads actually had a lot of sweet scenes, and I could totally see Kem and Mookda in these)

You guys made very valid points. I do also notice how they go all out for Mitra and Parin moments, it makes it a little extra special (at least for me). I think I'm in my own little world and just want get right to the point with Parin and Mitra. I don't know what I'm really trying to say lol. Everything is pretty up front with the mess that each character is involved in, so I guess I'm just waiting for the big reveal? haha

Omg I just watched it and she’s preggo too. I want to quit it so bad but I’m waiting for justice for his heart to get broken. Seems like it gets worse each episode LOL. But you are right! I can see a modern day remake with the two. I hope they get more slap and kiss lakorns after this. I mean it doesn’t have to be over the top like Koojin but these two are just so good at acting their respective roles I know I just need one more lakorn of them after this hahah

about the starting point of Parin's love, I guess it feels better to say it's "love at first sight"? they did mention it in the novel that he had his eyes on her among all the girls that night, and the one night stand just added up to that what made it even more unforgettable was the guilt he had after finding out she was still virgin?
but must admit that I also favor Parin a lot lol. seriously he could have chosen a proper approach rather than believing Pam's implication that Mita was a callgirl like wth, he could have asked Mita directly when she was still conscious. they said he was also drunk so maybe that's why he couldn't think? either way this event shall not happen in real life haha.

another trailer for ep 7. kisses are real and they are having their little "honeymoon" time away from all the chaos :worship2: they really live up to the tagline "90% is lovescene"

I agree with you. Wish they written the first episode differently; for example, the two leads having a drunken one night stand instead of her being drugged but that would change the outcome and Pam would not be needed. Besides that pet peeve of mine, I am enjoying the lakorn and quickly becoming a Kem fan, he's doing an excellent job emoting his character.

It's very interesting to see you guys' different perspectives on love and I do think love at first sight happens too although I can't relate haha. I don't think we need an explanation for why they fall in love with each other because Parin himself said he didn't know either. Even irl let alone the lakorn world, it just happens when pranang least expect it and there's just nothing they can do apart from accepting it. What I love about this lakorn is despite its flaws, the main characters actually show positive development. They pay for their mistakes and they actually fight for their happiness.
Tbh I'm a sucker for praeks who love quietly and are willing to take care of neks from afar, which Kem as Parin serves me that, in the most touching way he could. I'm so mesmerized by their chemistry so surely one lakorn ain't enough lol. Hope they get paired up again soon, doesn't have to be frequent but for good quality lakorns:worship2:
P/s: good lorddd can we skip to Firday :crybaby2:
