The thing is he didnt sign it. And i dont think he even sign it after the dna test. And his family tried to shut her up and told her to get an abortion but she kept her baby.
He's been in his son life, paying for school but he was working in china most of the time.
so why now that he's trying to file for some rights... but we dont know the full terms and conditions he's asking for.
This pprobably will drag on for a while... if they cant agree on things.

From what I have known,Mike and Sara were never in a serious committed relationship. They were more of a fucking buddies. So asking for a DNA test before signing a birth certificate is not a wrong thing to do. "The cuckoo laying its eggs in other birds' nests to spare itself the effort of raising its own young" - this is situation most men are afraid of i.e. raising someone else's kid without realising the kid is not theirs but of some other man. But once the paternity is established,they have to take responsibility of the kid which I think Mike is doing. If Sara is depriving Mike access to their son, then Mike will be compelled to go to court for sole child custody. Joint custody will not work out if the parents dont have good relationship.Now it is in court's hands to decide who will get Maxwell's custody.

I know this will be unpopular opinion over here since they will always be a gender bias. Moms are always innocent victims,dads are always dickheads/playboys especially in out of wedlock pregnancies. Also there is this notion that playboy men can't be proper fathers. I don't agree on that..

Mike's family wanted dna testing because well, isn't it pretty obvious? If you're not together for a few days, you never know what the other person was doing. Mike probably wants custody of his son because 1. Then he wouldn't have to pay child support. And 2. His ex has been dating someone and it may be serious. I think Mike wants to secure his son's future for stability. Which is not a bad thing. He has been as active as possible in his son's life, (from what I see).

Not necessarily. Actually, the reason why some women get murdered in the US during divorce is because of child support. Honestly, the court in the US favored the mother more regardless of the income. Unless, there are proof of abuse or drug use the chances are very high mom gets the kid(s).
