Wow, that's alot of money Ceci. I can't remember how much mine costed cause my parents paid for it all... but I got my citizenship through my dad before I turned 18, so we just had to go pick up that souvenir tiny American flag, no test or anything.

the same goes for me...my mom knows who my favorite actors are, because i only rent their series...even the lady at the video store knows what i like and don't like, so she's always recommending stuff to me...

that's what my little sister says, she wishes that thai lakorns are like american soap operas, that go on forever...but that's not possible...i like lakorns the way they are...

yeah, i realized that num and kob have done so many lakorns together...i thought they were married...maybe just good chemistry

You know... I'm actually glad that lakorns and chinese dramas end. Because they usually end up happy at the end and I can imagine the rest of their happy lives together. So much more romantic.

I hate American soaps after a while because the story goes on sooooooooo long that the characters end up breaking up, being with other people, sleeping around with other people, having 5+ kids by different guys... how is that supposed to be romantic?? I always feel cheated and that I watched it all for nothing because they don't end up together anyways eventually... that or I'm always feeling like, "Will she cheat on him with this new guy later... what about that other guy??... cause they never stay together consistently in a soap.
I admit, sometimes the pairings are soooooooo good though (I still miss Chloe and Philip (the normal hot looking one) together on Days of Our Lives when they first started falling in love... I teared up when their love story kind of fell apart...)

tik is 31...aum is only 4 years older than me...but now, i'm leaning more towards ken...i switch a lot...i have phases i guess...from american to chinese to thai, and back and forth...

cuz just a couple months ago, during the Raymond Lam hiatus, i was all about James McAvoy from "Becoming Jane"...then Andy Lau, that man is one hot 40 something year old...then recently, Aum...now Ken...during the phases, i watch anything and everything i can get a hold of that has to do with the guy...

yeah...that sucks to be behind that much...cuz even if it's an hour or so...pages...some sisters love to spam...i can't do it, don't have the patience

I totally have thai lakorn, chinese drama phases too... where all I watch, listen, and look up stuff online is in that genre... I was soo obessed with taiwanese dramas a while back then JLR turned me into thai phase and now I'm still there.... but I have to admit, 'Fated to Love You' is really trying hard to pull me back into chinese mode again. (Gosh, can't wait for the next part!!!)

Soso, have you watched 'The Drive of Life' yet? I'm debating watching that cause I really like Raymond and Charmaine together (even though the only drama I've seen them in is Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, but I loved that. ). I'm trying to see if I want to buy it off ebay... but so expensive!!

I really like Raymond too... ever since Twin of Brothers, I'll watch anything with Raymond in it. I like his smile (looks so charming) and his voice (yum, love the voice.)

Yeah, I'm totally stuck in thai phase at the moment too... it can stay with my until the end of the year. I hope I turn back into Chinese mode by the time I head off to China at Christmas... otherwise I won't be crazy in love with all the chinese dramas I should be seeing there at that time.

yep...me too...i'm in the ken phase right now...once aum comes back with lakorns, i'm sure he sweep me off my feet again...but he has to come back...with a vengeance...i don't know what to expect with the three lakorns he's coming out with...good thing though...more aum to watch

sadly, i have to wait...i'm not thai, don't have the channel...so i have to wait for it to be subbed or dubbed...preferably subbed, it's the best way for me to learn thai...and i like to hear the actor's voices...it's better for them too...to hear their own reactions and stuff

I agree, I always prefer original with english subs too... can't stand dubbed voices sometimes when they dub them into hmong (my spoken language). I like hearing the real actor's voices and original soundtrack... sometimes the hmong dubbed that I watch adds their own sucky music to it. Plus it's always all edited and cut down in the dubbed version (GRRRRRRRR!!!)
