i don't know if this one is said already but you know your watching a thai lakorn when the pa'ek is always rich owning some kind of company and na'ek is always poor living with one parent and a sibling who is disrespectful.

*no one's mentioned boran lakorns yet (probably because y'all don't wanna waste your time. good decision.)

- bad special effects
- either pra'ek or nang'ek (or both) is of royalty
- pra'ek has a posse consisting of an animated character (and whatever the animated character is saying, it never corresponds to the movement of the mouth), one other human, and a half-man half-human type creature (and it has a signature sound that it makes)
- pra'ek always leaves his royal palace
- the bad girl will cast pra'ek under a spell so he will fall in love with her
- the villain is hard to kill
- pra'ek's mother, usually the king's wife, will be kicked out of the palace and must live in the forest/wood/jungle, whatever
- someone is always in need of rescue
- the villain always wants nang'ek
- the traditional, boran style of clothing has changed. no one puts their hair in a bun anymore and the gods are looking more and more like greek/roman gods and pra'eks have capes like superman
- the series are long for no reason (they probably just want to make it long like chinese series)
- in a single episode, nothing could be going on. just some walking around, crying, screaming, and more bad acting and effects.

The new trend in the aftermath RawR scene: N'ek has preggy symptoms but it ends up she is not eating well. P'ek gets all excited but before they believed that they were not just getting enough sleep and not eating right. :loool:

You never/rarely get to see n'ek's belly big nor the baby; if so, you'll only get a glimpse at the end of the lakorn.

N'ek or P'ek seem to always get shot/injured when they protect the person who is getting killed. Why not just push them down and neither of ya will be shot, a few scrape won't kill you. :loool:

N'ek is poor, but she can afford a lot of things.

In majority of lakorn, p'ek is filthy rich but does not own a cell. I mean seriously in Kdrama everyone is able to afford a cell phone regardless of their social status. :loool:

N'ek never seem to have a car even if they are not poor.

The girls dyed their hair blonde so that they can be mixed babies ex: Vier and Alexandria lakorn, you don't have to have blonde hair to be considered a mix baby. Ahahaha!!!

Pra ek seems to always get shot by the arm if nang ek is the shooter. Poor Captain got shot twice, one from Aom and one from Pim Zaza. Mart got shot twice right by Cherry... lol why the arms if they really want pra ek dead why not the head lmao!!!

Somehow nang ek and pra ek most of the time seem to live after getting shot, but other dies so easily. :loool:

Pra ek let’s see, we got slaps, punch, and the next step is kick. In Pleng Payu??? Didn’t Oil hella beat Aump up. Lol… I can’t remember cause I skipped a lot. But yeah it would be awesome to see pra ek shoot nang ek in the arm. LOL yeah nang ek just shoot pra ek’s arm assuring that he won’t die. Lmao but what gets me most, nang ek thinks pra ek will die so they tend to care for them after. I mean what the heck lol… in MKKW when Pai shot Wat, she thought that he was going to die or something.

I have recently started to watch thai lakorns and I have finished a few of them already. I watch them basically to practice my thai. There are few points that I haven´t seen mentioned yet so I want to bring them up.

1. Mouth-to-mouth is considered to be more like a kiss than a method to save peoples lifes. There is no necessity to check actually if the person is breathing or not to use it, that is totally irrelevant. Also people are not too worried about the life and death situations, since they are more worried about having to touch somebody´s lips and waste many seconds for nothing because of the embarassment.

2. Despite living in a city of millions, all the characers go to the same places at the same time and meet coincidentally (often bump each other) especially the main ones. This doesn´t happen just one time, but they don´t seem to be able to go out to a place without seeing the same person over and over again. If I were them I would just stay at home.

3. It´s way too often very easy to go between places in Bangkok especially, if you need to be somewhere in less then an hour it is no problem, everything seems to be in a short distance and there is no traffick that slows you down. That´s not the Bangkok I know at least.

4. Since Thais like luk kreungs or mixed stars, especially with very farang features. I find it quite amusing to see these luk kreungs to have parents that are very thai looking in lakorns. If I were the parents I would at least wonder were their child came from.

5. Language barriers don´t exist. If another language is used in lakorns, it doesn´t matter how badly it is spoken people have no problem understanding each other. Or miraculously, even foreigners speak perfect thai all the time, even in their own country amongst their own people.

To # 2 and 3 Lives in the same city, yet they had never encounter each other. And then bam, they somehow always bump into each other at the same place, same day and same time. Yeah when one of them is on the run, it takes them decades to reach the airport to stop them from leaving the country. (it takes 2 seconds to a place far away, yet takes a generation to get to the airport. lmao!!!)

To #5 One of the pranangs is from another country (either a prince or a princess) the native language of their home country is Thai. lol
