^Chapter 22 is a bit long but contains significant information. :D

But it was great! Princess Minthida is pregnant! Ahhhh! Lol. I'm squealing like this is a lakorn! I bet Nadech and Princess Urassaya were curious. But oh, so Prince Natawut and his father were the ones that replaced Princess Minthida with Nat. I thought it was Minthida's father who replaced it all along and Prince Nattwut's father doesn't know. Lol. I'm so curious about what's going to happen next, but I should probably piece out all the information you just gave us first! @thatsouternasianchick, why did you left at such part! lol.Oh, and what does 'khor rub' mean?

Lol! You're a careful reader! I'm building suspense and you get to be hyped up. Hehehe!
"Khor rub" is like "Krub" only in ancient Thai term.

Chapter 23

“We came this far already.”
Nadech turned around to face the only window in the room and looked outside. They were all lost in the ancient world of war, their hearts scarred with love for eternity. Princess Urassaya placed her left hand on Nadech’s back and pat it gently.
“There is only so much we could do now,” she said. “We just have to keep going forward.”
“No,” said Prin. “Princess Minthida and I will return to the Emerald kingdom. You two should just keep going without us because if you two go back too, then everything will be absolutely chaotic. Nadech will surely be killed.”
“Have you lost your mind?!” Nadech exclaimed at Prin. “We’ve came this far already! We’ve came this far and you want to ditch us?! Even if you want to, we will not go anywhere without you and Princess Minthida!”
“Chai,” agreed Princess Urassaya. “Either we move forward together or go back to Morakot; you pick.”
“Princess Minthida is pregnant,” said Prin. “I believe that no matter how fierce Jao Sompohb is, he will not harm an unborn baby, especially if it’s his grandchild. Princess Minthida and the baby will have a much better chance of survival if we return to the palace. But, you two can’t.”
“Why?” asked Nadech.
“Because you will be sentenced to death for kidnapping Princess Urassaya!” exclaimed Prin. “Everything will be chaotic and I don’t want to see you or Princess Urassaya harmed in anyway.”
“Trust me,” said Princess Urassaya. “My father loves me; he will never hurt me.”
“Well, there you go,” said Nadech. “We’re going back with you.”
Prin shook his head and sank into a chair at the table in the middle of the room. He exhaled loudly and buried his face in his hands. Then, he looked back up at Nadech.
“Fine,” he said. “Fine, I give up.”
“When Princess Minthida wakes up, we will all go back,” said Princess Urassaya.
Prin and Nadech nodded in agreement.

“And X marks the spot.”
Officer Nattaporn put her hands on her hips and smiled at the large red X that she had just drew on the ground. Pakorn rolled his eyes and sat down on a nearby log.
“What?” she turned to ask him. “Bored already?”
Pakorn shook his head.
“What is wrong with you?” asked Nattaporn. “Aren’t you glad I’m here with you? If I wasn’t here with you…
“Do you ever tire of hearing yourself speak?” Pakorn interrupted before she could finish speaking.
“Nee khun, have some patience and sense of humor,” said Nattaporn. “I’m off duty and supposed to be relaxing at home but I’m here helping you solve a mystery so you’d better be glad.”
“What am I supposed to do? Thank you?” asked Pakorn rudely.
“If you don’t appreciate my help then you shouldn’t have came to ask me for help in the first place,” Nattaporn shot back.
“How am I supposed to lighten up to your jokes when three of my friends went mysteriously missing?! Huh?!”
Pakorn took a deep breath and exhaled loudly, expressing how tired he was of this case. It had been dragging for months and so far, they’ve still got nothing.
“I’m sorry,” said Nattaporn, putting one hand on his shoulder. “I was just trying to make you feel better. I’m sure we’ll get something out of our hard work soon. At least we know how Prin is linked to this Morakot kingdom now.”
“I just don’t get it,” said Pakorn. “How does Nadech and Nat fit into this puzzle?”
Nattaporn shrugged and sat down next to Pakorn. Suddenly, there was rumbling noise in the distance followed by strikes of lightning that seemed very near.
“What the heck?” Pakorn blurted. “Again?”
“Uh, I don’t think that’s a good sign,” said Officer Nattaporn. “We’d better go find Ajarn Krerk.”
“Here I am!” Ajarn Krerk called out, his voice piercing through the loud thunder. “We’d better hurry up and get back to the car because there’s no time to set up the tent now.”
They all hurried back to the car and drove to the nearest home, which was a small hut owned by an elderly couple, who granted the trio permission to stay during the oncoming storm.
“It has been like this very frequently these past few months,” said the old woman, whose name was Mae Jun. “It is as though someone has crossed line with the heavens, angering the gods.”
Pakorn rolled his eyes and Officer Nattaporn nudged him in the ribs with her pointy elbow.
“Ow,” he said.
“So rude,” she muttered to him.
Great, now they had to put up with this, Pakorn thought. The old woman went on to tell a legend, a story of how the ancient royals angered the gods and how the gods punished them.

“I have a feeling that something isn’t right,” said Nadech.
They are making their way back to Morakot when Nadech suddenly spoke his mind. Princess Minthida is sitting on the back of a horse as the two men are steering it. They are all moving at a slow pace, which Nadech is fairly satisfied because it gave him the time to think of everything. He was beginning to think that the whole idea of returning home wasn’t such a good idea after all. He had a hunch, a premonition that something bad could happen to them.
“Nonsense,” said Princess Urassaya. “I don’t think we should worry. One, Princess Minthida is pregnant; she’s carrying the heir of Morakot for goodness’ sake! Even if Jao Sompohb would be angry, he would not break her up with Prin at this point. As for me, my father loves me so he would do no harm to me. If we just accept that everything is our fault then we could stop this war and live happily ever after.”
“But I don’t think it will be that easy,” said Nadech.
“Nadech is right,” said Prin.
He had to keep in mind that he and Nadech are from the future. They had already knew everything beforehand since it has been history. Now, they’re carving their place in history, which is bad thing because who knows what will happen?”
“Whatever happens happens,” said Princess Minthida. “As long as we’re all together, we should all be happy.”
Prin and Nadech looked at each other. They knew that it wasn’t because as far as their knowledge on history goes, Phra Jao Mata’s death is very near…or should be. This was Nadech’s worst fear because he was afraid to face the consequences afterwards. How will he and Princess Urassaya end up?

^ short chapter before I go to bed tonight.

For those who are confused or lost, the two kingdoms are already at war, which had begun after Prince Nattawut wed Natwara. Apparently, the whole arranged marriage thing is to lead the Emerald kingdom into thinking that peace will be created but actually, it is the perfect chance for the two other kingdoms to carry on with their plans of attack.

Next chapter, Princess Urassaya's father dies, leading to the downfall of the Wasuthep kingdom. What happens to Princess Urassaya and Nadech? Two more chapters, I am suspecting and hesitating, and then this story will end...

Hint: There will be a sequel.

                                                                                            Chapter 24

"If they do not return within three days, then they will be stuck in time forever."
The monk's words replayed over and over in Pakorn's mind. Finally, he reached a dead end; he had to accept reality that his friends were not returning home...forever. They were gone.
"Don't think too much," said Officer Nattaporn, placing one hand on Pakorn's shoulder. "I'm sure they will all return."
"You don't know the feeling of losing friends and losing the hope that you've held onto for so long that they will return safely," Pakorn cried, trying to hold back his tears.
"I do know that feeling," she said.
She gulped and stared into his eyes uneasily, shifting her feet around, and finally sitting down next to him.
"Your problems are my problems too now," Nattaporn told him. "You might not know and might not be able to tell, but spending the last several months with you made me realize that you are a great friend. Your love for your friends strike my heart, so that's why I want to do all I can to help you. Even though I can't do much, you will always have my motivational support."
Pakorn threw his arms around her. He had totally lost himself. His tears dampened her white t-shirt.
"Thank you so much...Officer," he said. "If I didn't have you, I'd probably be crazy by now."
"I'd like to ask you something," said Nattaporn.
She hesitated and bit her lip as Pakorn straightened his posture and wiped his tears.
"How are you so certain that they will never return?" she asked him.
Pakorn looked up at her and looked up into the stars.
"I just have that feeling," he replied. "I have never been this sure my entire life."
"Aie Korn!"
Pakorn and Nattaporn looked back and up to see Phupoom and Jarinporn, who both seemed sleep deprived and extremely tired.
"What're you two doing here?" Pakorn asked them, standing up to face them.
"We found out what had happened through Ajarn Krerk and immediately rushed here," Phupoom explained.
"P'Korn, tell right now, P'Prin, P'Dech, and P'Nat are all coming back, right?" Jarinporn asked.
Pakorn noticed the tears in her eyes and the nervous expression on Phupoom's face. He didn't know how to answer.
"Well, go on," Phupoom urged him. "Go on and tell us everything you know."
"Officer Nattaporn, you must know," said Jarinporn. "You can tell us."
Pakorn knew that Jarinporn was on the verge of breaking down.
"Rin," said Pakorn, finally. "I don't want to answer your question because I'd be lying to you if I did."
"I don't understand," said Jarinporn.
"Can you have more clarity in your answer, please?" Phupoom asked.
"They're not coming back," said Nattaporn, finally.
She stood up and leveled herself with them.
"They're not coming back," she repeated.
"Mai jing," said Jarinporn. "I don't believe it...
"Rin, listen to me," said Pakorn. "There is nothing we can do but wait."
"I've been waiting for months already!" cried Jarinporn.
Nattaporn grabbed her hand and tried to calm her down. Jarinporn finally broke into tears. She threw her arms around Nattaporn and cried, as Pakorn and Phupoom helplessly stood there and watched. They all stood there under the stars consoling each other and accepted the fate of reality.

"Stay here, and during the the time that I am not back, do not leave this room."
Natwara watched Prince Nattawut leave their bedroom. She was about to lose her mind. Not only that she didn't know what he meant, more than anything, she wanted to go out and see what the hell was going on. She paced up and down the room and waited until she could wait no more.
"P'Prin!" she gasped at the sight of Prin scurrying across the courtyard into Jao Sompohb's chamber. She took off in the same direction, with hopes of catching Prin before Prince Nattawut caught her.
"Your Majesty!!!"
Prin's heart nearly dropped when he saw Jao Sompohb. Within only a span of a few months, he seemed to have aged and weakened...and ill! Prin kneeled before the King right away, his heart pounding with anger and fear. He was angry at himself for leaving the palace, leaving the King to suffer in the hands of the enemy, and was moreoever, fearful for sake of the kingdom.
"And finally, you have returned," Jao Sompohb said with a smile. "Rise."
Prin got onto his feet.
"P'Prin," said Natwara watching quietly from outside through a crack in the window. She knew better than to barge in, so she continued to watch through the tiny hole.
Prin let his tears trickle onto his face and fall onto the ground.
"I knew you would," Jao Sompohb said.
His smile remained, and that was what hurt Prin so much. It hurt to see what he had caused, and it hurt to see that the King had entrusted him.
"I'm sorry," said Prin, his voice trembling. "I'm so sorry."
"Sorry for what?" asked Jao Sompohb. "I should thank you for caring for my daughter. Now, I know that I can entrust my heart in your hands."
"Don't say that," said Prin. "It is my duty."
Prin looked around to make sure no one was around and leaned in closer to Jao Sompohb.
"I can help you win this war," he said in a low tone. "I will help you win this war."
"What is your confidence level?" asked Jao Sompohb. "I've lost all confidence in myself."
"Mai," said Prin, shaking his head. "I have Jao Mata's heart in my hand as well."
Jao Sompohb's eyes widened. He turned away for a moment and remade eye contact with Prin.
"You must know that Jao Mata is very tricky," he said. "Even I who had once wholeheartedly trusted him underestimated his capabilities."
"Trust me," said Prin. "If you trust me, I guarantee you we will win this war."
Jao Sompohb finally nodded, and they both headed for the door. Natwara shivered with fear and her heart pounded fast and loud. Knowing that Prin was the type of person who would risk his all to help someone, she had to do something to stop him.
"I am not letting you risk your life!" she shouted after him when they reached the courtyard.
"Nat!" Prin gasped aloud.
"Natwara!" Prince Nattawut shouted from afar.
He ran up to her and grabbed her arm.
"I told you not to leave the room!" he exclaimed.
"If I didn't leave, would I know what evil sins you and your father are committing?!" she barked back at him.
"It's not what you think," said Prince Nattawut. "I'm not what you think."
"Chai, I overestimated you but you are just...
"Prin!"
"Tun Phor!"
Nadech, Princess Minthida, and Princess Urassaya all ran up to Prin. Princess Minthida threw her arms around her father and hugged him tightly, crying on his shoulders and repeatedly apologizing for her actions. To Princess Urassaya's surprise, he forgave everyone. What was even more shocking was that her own brother, Prince Nattawut had been plotting against her.
"Urassaya, you must come home," said Prince Nattawut.
"Home?" she asked her brother. "I don't have a home."
"Prin, I don't want things to be even more tangled and complicated," said Jao Sompohb.
"Trust me," said Prin. "The things that I say I will do, I will do, and I will do it to the best of my ability."
Suddenly, hundreds of soldiers encircled them, followed by a roaring laughter from Jao Mata.
"Nai tee sood, all of you fall into my hands...at once!!!" he shouted, laughing and clapping his hands together. "The Kingdom of Morakot finally falls into my hands!"
Prin winked at Nadech, who winked back. They both grabbed Prince Nattawut and held a dagger to his throat.
"Release everyone or Prince Nattawut instantly dies," said Nadech.
Jao Mata gulped and looked uneasy.
"Do it now!" Prin exclaimed.
"Tun Phor, just let everything be over," Princess Urassaya said to her father.
"Silence!" he barked at her. "You are not my daughter! You ran away with these two fools and sided with the enemy! I don't have a daughter like you!"
"Prin, Nadech, release Prince Nattawut right now!" Natwara exclaimed.
Prin and Nadech looked at each other and ignored her.
"Jao Mata, tell all of your soldiers to back away!" Prin shouted.
"Release my son right now!" Jao Mata barked back.
"I will release your son once your entire army retreats!" exclaimed Nadech.
"Prin...
"Nat, leave this matter to me," said Prin.
"P'PRIN!" Natwara bellowed. "You are willing to risk your own life for this kingdom! You choose this princess over me, I didn't say anything at all. Now, you both want to risk your lives for this kingdom?! You have to realize that you can't change history!"
Prin was suddenly caught it the moment, and as Nadech continued to argue with Natwara, Prince Nattawut shoved them both away, and dragged Natwara across the other side of the courtyard, where he stood next to his father. Jao Mata broke into laughter again.
"Tun Phor, it isn't too late to stop everything," said Prince Nattawut to his father.
"You idiot!" Jao Mata struck his son across the face with full force, causing the young prince to fall to the ground.
"Khun Phee!" Princess Urassaya rushed to her brother.
"Urassaya!" Nadech exclaimed.
"Kill everyone!" Jao Mata shouted.
BAM! All of a sudden, Jao Mata collapsed to the ground, clutching his heart.
"Tun Phor!" Prince Nattawut and Princess Urassaya shouted simultaneously.
"Tun Phor," said Princess Minthida, acknowledging the gun in her father's right hand.
"That gun," said Prin.
"This was the gun that you gave me before, the gun that you gave me and told me to carry to save my life," said Jao Mata. "If I hadn't believed you then, we wouldn't have this day."

OMG! Loved it :) Everything's getting real good. I feel so bad for the other people on the future side of the world.

So...I don't know how else to finish this FF. I was going to finish it off very sad and heartbreaking (because there is a sequel). Now, due to the Mint/ Mark drama, I think I'll give them a happy ending and cancel the sequel. Lol. Hmm...decisions, decisions...

Chapter 25- END

"She's fine, just in shock."
Even though the doctor ensured his wife's safety, Prin refused to leave her bedside. She had collapsed earlier in his arms, while they are all still shocked by what had happened. They came this far already, which was unbelievable to Nadech never would he have thought things would end like this. It wasn't supposed to. They had altered history, intentionally because if they didn't, they probably would've have lived to this day. Things weren't coming to an end; it is just the beginning.
"We've just defeated Jao Mata's forces," Jao Sompohb announced. "Our soldiers on the border are on the way home."
"This is just the beginning, Jao," said Nadech.
"What do you mean by that?" Jao Sompohb asked.
"Just because the war has ended doesn't mean the expansion campaign has ceased," replied Nadech.
Jao Sompohb sighed and looked at his daughter, Princess Minthida.
"I've brought great disaster to everyone, especially my daughter," said Jao Sompohb. "It is time for me to give up this role to someone who can actually take good care of the kingdom."
They all turned to Prin, who looked up to meet Jao Sompohb's eyes and smile. He stood up and kneeled before the aging ruler.
"As long as I'm still alive, I will do my best to serve this country," he said.
Nadech followed suit and kneeled too. At that moment, Princess Urassaya stepped out of the room in tears. Finally, her country had fallen into the hands of the unexpected. All of this was unexpected to her: the death of her father, the fall of her kingdom, this love that she had found...Nadech, how could she ever live happily with him when her father was the cause of everything?
"Don't be sad."
Her older brother, Prince Nattawat put his arms around her and patted her back.
"Everything is over now," he said, trying to console his younger sister. "Everything that has happened made me realize I am not capable of taking care of my own sister."
Princess Urassaya looked up at her brother. "What do you mean?"
"It means that it's time for me to let someone else capable take over that responsibility," replied Prince Nattawut. "I am sorry for being such a bad brother to begin with. If I had stopped Tun Phor in the beginning, then all of this wouldn't have happened."
Prince Nattawut put his hands behind his back and looked up at the sky.
"This is all pre-destined by the heavens," he said. "Everything happens for a reason."
Princess Urassaya was silent.
"Nadech is a very good guy," Prince Nattawut said, turning around. "I can tell he loves you very much."
"But I'm not sure...
"Don't make assumptions based on your current feelings," said Prince Nattawut. "Let your heart decide and let your feelings be a guidance."
"But one day, he must return home," said Princess Urassaya, remembering that Nadech does not belong in the past. He is from the future and she will never live up to see him.
"Urassaya!"
The royal siblings turned around to see Nadech. Prince Nattawut smiled and walked away to let the couple resolve their issues.
"Tun Pee!"
"Urassaya," said Nadech, panting.
He pulled her closer to him but she broke free. Nadech chased after her until they reached the empty marketplace. It was probably midnight now and judging from the roaring thunder in the skies, it was probably going to be an ugly night.
"Urassaya, wait!" he called out to the princess. "Stop!"
He finally caught up with her and grabbed her by the wrists.
"Why did you run from me?" he asked her.
"My time is over now," the princess replied. "You may want to continue on with your victory."
"What are you talking about?" Nadech asked.
The thunder became louder and louder and lightening suddenly flashed before their eyes.
"Let's go back, there's a storm coming!" Nadech yelled through the frightening weather.
Suddenly, there was another flash of lightening and both of them disappeared.
"Aie Dech! Aie Dech!"
Pakorn and Phupoom ran up to their buddy, who was lying unconscious on the ground. Next to him, a few feet away, was a female figure that they did not recognize. She was dressed in ancient, traditional clothing.
"Khun ka!" Jarinporn tried to shake her awake but she too was unconscious.
"We have to transport them to the hospital immediately!" Nattaporn exclaimed.

Prin paced up and down the courtyard, anxiously awaiting the news of Nadech and Princess Urassaya. The storm clouds had finally wavered away and the ugly weather had passed. As each second went by, Prin was getting more and more anxious and afraid. He was afraid of losing them.
Jao Sompohb had sent out more soldiers to look for them but all came back with the same answer, "they are no where to be found."
"Prin," said Princess Minthida, walking up to him. "Don't worry too much. Perhaps, they're taking cover from the storm somewhere. We have gone through so much together this past year that we should know them by now."
Suddenly, Prin realized that it had been exactly one year since he was transported to the past...through a raging storm! He took off running to the marketplace area where he had landed that day the first day. Princess Minthida caught up with him and moments later, they stood by a large crack in the ground, caused by lightening strike. Nearby was Nadech's dagger, which Prin assumed fell out of his pocket. Prin could guess what happened, a freak intention caused by nature, or what some would call, heaven destined occurrence. All of this was pre-destined. He, Nadech, and Natwara were all apart of this heaven destined love triangle, that is now broken. Their loves destined by heaven...for eternity.

What we get in the end:
- Nadech and Yaya are transported to the future, where they live happily ever after
- Mark and Mint are stuck in the past but nevertheless, they continue their happiness throughout the years
- Natwara has found true love in Mario and she too, remains in the past

Ending sucks, I know but I just realized I really don't have the heart to write out MTEAM scenes. :(
