In thailand it's conscription time for the army for men who are 21 years of age.
I believe the army set up signing up post all around towns and cities where guys have to come, get their physical, and wait to see if they have to join the army.

They are given notifications. Red notification means you go to the army. If you're given a black notification, you don't have to serve in the army.

Doing this is mandatory. It's the law in Thailand just like South Korea.
