Chapter 17:
Sila came walking back in with some cotton he picked up off a little tree.
“Is Kaew awake yet?” asked Sila.
Cheewin looked up back at him, “No, not yet.”
Sila walked toward where Grand was lying. Sila lifted up Grand shirt and looked at where she was stabbed.
Since all of the blood was dried up now, Sila washed it away with water. After that, he ripped a part of his shirt and wrapped it around Grand’s wound.
Sila sighed, “Just hope you’ll get better Grand. When you wake up, I promise to protect you forever. I really mean it this time.”
“Cheewin…”
Sila looked back realizing it was Kaew who was calling Cheewin’s name.
“She’s awake,” said Sila.
Cheewin ran toward Kaew and held her.
“Kaew, are you alright?” asked Cheewin, “Do you hear me?”
“Cheewin…” Kaew whispered. Kaew opened her eyes slowly to find total blurriness.
“Where am I?” asked Kaew.
“At our place…the place where we first met,” said Cheewin.
Kaew looked around for a while. She blinked her eyes a few times so she can see clearly. Kaew looked up at Cheewin.
“Cheewin?” said Kaew.
“Yes,” replied Cheewin.
Tears fell down Kaew’s cheeks as she raised herself to hug Cheewin quickly.
“I’m sorry,” said Kaew, “I can’t believe I forgot you. I never realized how much I have missed you. I love you and I promise never to forget you again.”
“It’s okay,” said Cheewin, “It was my fault I ran away. I should have never run. I never realized how much I love you too.”
Both of them hugged for a while. Sila looked at them and said, “Congrats to both of you. Your love has reunited again.”
The three of them laughed together.
“So…what happened?” asked Kaew.
Cheewin and Sila’s face dropped. Everyone knew that they can’t forgive themselves anymore. Everyone had broken their promises.
“Well…” said Cheewin.
“Here’s how it happened,” continued Sila.
Throughout most of the day, Sila and Cheewin took turns telling Kaew the story of what happened.
“Poor Grand,” said Kaew, “Hope she’s alright.”
“Well,” said Sila, “It’s almost night time. Let’s all go to sleep and tomorrow, we’ll decide what to do next.”
Everyone nodded at one another and went to sleep, except for Sila.
He sneaked out to the front of the cave and looked at the stars.
“Grand,” Sila said, “I hope you get better soon.”
Sila looked back at the stars before going back inside.
When he turned around to look at them, he saw thousands of shooting stars flying past by.
“Wow,” said Sila, “It’s so beautiful. Now I know why Grand like watching the stars so much.”
Sila was about to called Grand, but then he realized that Grand was still sick. Sila sighed.
“I can make wishes right?” asked Sila to himself.
Sila held up his hands and made a wish.
“I wish everything would just end…right now,” thought Sila.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, Sila woke up to a noise.
“Sila…” said Grand.
“Grand!” said Sila and he rose up quickly.
Sila held Grand on his laps and said, “Are you alright? Do you hear me?”
Grand held her head, “I feel dizzy.”
Sila laid Grand down again. He went over to the bucket of water and dipped in a cloth. Sila went back to Grand and put the wet cloth on top of her forehead.
“I’m so sorry,” said Sila, “I was completely lost. I can’t believe my Master did that to me. He’s so despicable.”
Grand looked up, “It’s not his fault. You guys would have never been like this if it weren’t for us.”
“No,” said Sila, “Don’t make you the bad guys. I love you.”
Tears rolled down Grand’s cheek, “I love you too, but…I don’t know if we’ll ever end up together.”
Grand looked away from Sila.
“Grand, please,” said Sila, “Don’t sacrifice yourself.”
Grand looked back and nodded. She tried to get herself up but her wound still hurts.
“Don’t,” said Sila, “You need to get a lot of rest.”
“Sila, I’m okay,” said Grand, trying to get up.
“No,” said Sila.
“Please,” said Grand, trying to look innocent.
“Alright,” said Sila.
Grand smiled, “Thanks. I want to go outside and watch the scenery. Can i?”
“Alright,” said Sila. He didn’t want to put pressure on Grand.
“Thanks,” said Grand.
“But…I have to carry you,” smiled Sila.
“Fine,” said Grand.
“Get on my back,” said Sila, “I’ll carry you this way. Okay?”
Grand nodded and climbed on his back.
Sila was about to walk out the door, but then he came back to kick Cheewin slightly.
“Cheewin, wake up,” said Sila, “Grand and I are going out for a while. We’ll be back okay. Protect yourself.”
“Alright, alright, Go,” said Cheewin.
Sila laughed and walked out the door.
“Wow,” said Grand, “The scenery is so pretty.”
“You’re all about nature huh?” said Sila.
Grand punched him slightly on the arm.
Both of them laughed together.
“Hey, let’s go sit down over there,” pointed Grand.
“Okay,” said Sila.
Sila laid Grand down by the hill.
“Look at the sun,” said Grand, “It’s still as sunrise. And it’s so beautiful.”
Sila looked at Grand for a while. Then he leaned over and kissed Grand on the cheek.
“Hey, that’s not fair,” laughed Grand.
“What’s not fair?” laughed Sila.
Grand leaned over to kiss Sila on the cheek too.
“Guess what,” Sila said.
“What?” said Grand.
“I’m going to do something even worse,” said Sila.
“Like…?” smiled Grand.
Sila pulled in toward her and held her shoulders. Their lips touched each other softly.
They kissed for a long time and then Grand pulled him away from her.
Grand smiled.
Sila smiled back and said, “I love you.”
“Me too,” replied Grand.
Sila hugged Grand and both smiled happily.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaew woke up and Cheewin still haven’t waken up.
“Hmph,” said Kaew, “You are so lazy.”
Kaew shook Cheewin, “Cheewin, wake up.”
He still hasn’t waken up.
“Ugh,” said Kaew. This time she tried to twist his skin.
“Cheewin, wake up,” yelled Kaew.
He still didn’t wake up.
As Kaew turned around, a pair of hands grabbed her and when she knew it, Cheewin was on top of her.
“Get off me,” laughed Kaew.
“No,” said Cheewin, “I need to get you back for hurting me.”
“What do you mean?” asked Kaew.
“Well… you twisted my skin. That hurts,” laughed Cheewin.
“Well…who told you not to wake up?” said Kaew.
Cheewin leaned his head forward and tried to kiss Kaew, but he missed.
Kaew pushed him off of her.
“Come on,” said Cheewin, “Can’t I get a kiss?”
“No,” said Kaew and she turned around, blushing.
Cheewin came behind Kaew and wrapped his arms around her.
“Come on,” said Cheewin, “Please.”
“No,” said Kaew, still blushing.
Cheewin turned Kaew around and held her head to press his lips against hers.
Kaew wrapped her arms around Cheewin, and then pulled him away from her.
Both of them laughed together.
“I hate you,” laughed Kaew.
“I hate you too,” said Cheewin.
Both of them kept on joking around until Sila came running in with Grand on his back.
“What happened?” asked Cheewin.
“Vampires…” said Grand.
“They are here,” said Sila.

*I’m so sorry about those people who wanted to know about the crystal part. While I was writing this chapter, I realize that I won’t be getting to the crystal part soon. It’s probably be happening at the end (The last chapter). I’m really sorry :( Otherwise, Enjoy! :D

Chapter 18:
“Oh my god,” said Kaew, “What are we going to do?”
“Where are they?” asked Cheewin.
“Somewhere out there,” said Sila, “Grand and I we’re playing around until Grand and I saw them in the distance. They know this place really well, Cheewin. I doubt they’ve seen us, but we have to leave this place before they do.”
“Let’s go,” said Grand, “Before they get us.”
Cheewin and Kaew nodded as the guys led the ladies out the exit.
The coast was clear. The four of them started running away.
As they we’re about to get down the tunnel as they did before, they heard a distant yell, “There they are.”
The four of them turned around and saw the vampires.
“No,” gasped Kaew, “We’ve got to hurry.”
“You two go in first,” said Sila, “Cheewin and I will follow you guys in.”
Grand and Kaew nodded and slipped in down the tunnel as Sila and Cheewin followed them quickly.
The four of them we’re feeling their way through the dark tunnel and trying to run at the same time. It felt like they were blind. They cannot see anything at all.
When they got to the end, Sila and Cheewin helped Grand and Kaew up the opening.
Kaew went first, and then Grand followed her.
When Kaew and Grand got up there, both of them didn’t move at all.
Sila and Cheewin followed them up there and realized that a sword was pointing on Kaew and Grand’s shoulder.
“Sila and Cheewin,” said the Master, “Nice to meet you again.”
And under them, Kaew could hear the vampires getting through the tunnel also.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Good indeed,” said the Master, “Thank you, Sila for leading them into me.”
Kaew, Grand, and Cheewin turned toward Sila.
Sila looked up at him in an astonished face, “What are you talking about? You’re despicable.”
“Yes,” said the Master, “After all these years of taking care of you two, this is what I get?”
“Sorry, sir,” replied Sila, having a feeling of guilt.
“You…” Kaew started with anger to it. As Kaew was about to finish her sentence, the vampires came rushing by.
“Ha,” yelled out the Chief, “Finally, we caught up, thanks to the humans.”
The Chief laughed one more time.
“Today,” said the Master, “Our war will end. One of us will only stand by the end of the day. Will it be the humans…or vampires?”
“We’ll find out,” said the Chief and he darted toward the Master.
Grand, Sila, Kaew, and Cheewin started fighting with the others.
“What are we going to do?” yelled Kaew.
“I don’t know,” yelled back Cheewin, “But I’ll protect you. Run away, Kaew.”
“No,” yelled Kaew.
“Grand,” yelled Sila, “Run away. I’ll take care of this.”
“No,” said Grand, “Even if I leave, I cannot live without you by my side. I need you.”
A tear came out of Sila’s eyes, “But you have to go. I can’t stand you being hurt.”
As the four of them looked around, they see many of people and vampires dying.
Ton came out of nowhere and was behind Grand, “Grand, listen to Sila. You have to go.”
“No,” yelled Grand, “I’m going to stay with him. He is like my gravity. Without him, I cannot live.”
A look of sadness shot through Ton’s face.
“Ton,” said Sila, “Please take Grand and Kaew away before anything happens to them.”
“NO,” Kaew and Grand yelled at the same time.
“You must go,” said Cheewin.
Ton pulled Kaew and Grand away as the humans sprinted toward them.
They were aiming toward Kaew, but then Ton pushed her to the side.
As that happens, Ton forgot about Grand.
Sila, Cheewin, Kaew, and Ton turned around and realize that Grand was about to get stab in the stomach again.
“No,” yelled Sila, as he was about to shove away Grand.
But then he realized that a hand pushed him back.
Sila fell to the ground and looked up. Ton ran over to get in front of Grand.
The sword went through Ton as he fell on the ground.
“Ton,” yelled Grand, “Ton, why?”
Grand held Ton on the ground as Sila was running over to Grand.
“Don’t,” said Cheewin as he grabbed Sila’s shoulders, “Ton has something really important to tell Grand. Let them alone for a while. Let’s go defeat the others.”
Sila nodded as the three of them walked away.
“Ton,” cried Grand, “Why did you save me? I never did anything good to you before.”
“Because I love you,” said Ton.
Grand cried even harder and hugged him tightly.
“Oh, Ton,” said Grand, “I’m really sorry.”
Ton took Grand’s hand and held it to his cheeks.
“Promise me,” said Ton, “Promise me that you’ll love Sila forever no matter what happens. Promise me that you’ll live happily forever. Promise me that you’ll…you’ll keep me in your heart forever.”
Grand hugged Ton even tighter, “I…”
Tears were streaming down Grand’s eyes. She was crying so hard that she forgot about Sila at the moment.
“What do you say?” asked Ton, “Do you love me?”
“I promise,” said Grand, “And… I love you.”
Ton smiled and went even closer to Grand.
“There are only minutes left before I turned to dust,” said Ton.
“Why?” said Grand, “I didn’t die when I was stabbed. Why should you die?”
Ton smiled again, “You didn’t die because of your true love to Sila and his true love to you. As for me, no one loves me truly.”
“No,” said Grand, “I love you, Ton. Do you hear me? I love you.”
“That is not true,” said Ton, “You might say that, but on the inside, you’re not feeling it. I must go.”
“No,” cried Grand, “I love you. It’s true.”
“Yes,” said Ton, “but only as a brother. This kind of love has to be really deep, deep down inside you. Deep like what you said to Sila. You said that he’s your gravity. It’s like putting two crystals together, and if it matches, you’ll then be together.”
“What?” said Grand as she pulled out her crystal.
“I have a secret,” said Ton, “Sila and Cheewin has the exact same crystals. It is not true what people said. Some said that it’ll kill the vampires and some said that it’ll kill the humans. But it is not true. Those are love crystals, and if it matches with the other ones, you’ll turn to any type of creature and you’ll live together with your love one forever. I know some people say that you’ll turn into birds, but it’s not true.”
“Ton,” said Grand, “Please don’t go.”
Ton moaned and tears spilled out of his eyes, “I have to go now. Take care of yourself.”
“NO,” yelled Grand as loud as she can.
“I love you,” said Ton as he closed his eyes.
“No,” Grand yelled as she shakes him, “I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you as many times as I can say. I love you, Ton. Please come back!”
As Sila heard that, a shot of jealousy went through his eyes, but he understands.
“No,” yelled Grand as Ton’s body melted to dust.
Sila, Cheewin, and Kaew ran back to Grand as she laid there with a handful of dust.
Kaew cried with Grand too. “Ton, good luck,” Kaew said in her mind, “Oh, Ton you have been so kind. I’ll miss you.”
“We have to go…” said Cheewin, “NOW!”
“Why?” asked Grand.
“Everyone was killed. There is only the Master and the Chief left, and they both...had paired up together to kill the four of us,” said Cheewin.
Chapter 19:
“No,” said Grand, “This can’t be. Why?”
“I don’t know,” said Cheewin, “It’s probably because all of us betrayed them. We’ve broken our promises.”
“Let’s go,” said Sila, helping Grand up.
“Yea,” said Kaew, “Let’s get out of here quick.”
When they we’re about to go, they heard heavy footsteps behind them.
“Where do you guys think you’re going?” asked the Master.
All of them turned around, seeing the Master and the Chief together, getting ready to kill them.
“Um…” said Kaew.
“Run?” whisper Cheewin.
“No,” said Grand.
“FLY,” yelled Sila.
Then Kaew and Grand grabbed Cheewin and Sila and the four of them flew off in the distance.
“I’ll fly and you’ll run,” said the Chief and he went off while the Master was running after all of them.
“What will we do?” yelled Kaew, since it was so hard to yell in the wind.
“I don’t know,” yelled back Cheewin.
“Let’s land down there,” said Grand.
Kaew nodded and both soared down to the forest again. The four of them landed.
“This place seems darker and deeper,” said Sila.
“I know,” said Grand.
They were walking forward until Grand and Kaew felt a hand pulling their hair back.
“Ouch,” squealed Grand and Kaew.
Sila and Cheewin look back and gasped.
“You guys can never escape me,” said the Chief.
“Let them go,” said Sila and he took a step forward.
“Take one more step and I’ll kill them,” said the Chief.
Then the Master came running behind the Chief.
“Good,” said the Master.
“Run away,” yelled Kaew.
“No,” said Cheewin.
The Master ran behind Sila and Cheewin and held on to them.
“Sila…” said Grand, “How could you? Run away.”
“No,” said Sila, “I’m never leaving you again.”
“Stop talking all your love talk and get going,” said the Chief.
“There’s a large cave over there,” said the Master, “Let’s put them there.”
The Master and the Chief pushed the four of them to walk toward the cave.
“Why?” asked Sila, “Why did you do this?”
“Do you want to know why, mister?” said the Master, “Because you have betrayed me, it’s time for me to return my betrayal.”
“How could you?” yelled Sila.
“How COULD you?” said the Master, “You did it first, now shut up.”
When they got to the cave, the Master and the Chief threw all of them to the back wall.
The Master tied up the four of them around their wrists and ankles.
“Now,” said the Master, “You four stay here, I need to have a talk to the Chief.”
“Let’s go outside,” said the Master and the Chief nodded.
When the Master and the Chief walked out the cave, Sila and Grand were back to back trying to untangle the rope.
Cheewin and Kaew were doing to same thing too.
“You got it?” asked Sila.
“Yes,” said Grand, “Now let me try to take off yours.”
Sila nodded.
“You got it?” whispered Grand.
“Yes,” said Sila, “Cheewin, have you guys got it off, yet?”
“Already did,” said Cheewin, “Let’s go.”
When they were about to stand up, they heard a gunshot.
“What was that?” asked Grand.
“I don’t know,” said Sila, “Let’s go.”
When they were about to stand up again, the Master walked in.
The four of them sat back down, pretending they were still tied up.
“Where’s the Chief?” asked Kaew.
“He’s dead,” said the Master, holding up the gun.
“What?” asked Grand, “How?”
“I’ve killed him,” said the Master.
“You liar,” yelled Kaew, “You have paired up with him and now you’re going to kill him!”
“Yes,” said the Master, “That was my plan all along. There are no more vampires in this world…except for you two. After your death, the humans will be living peacefully. All of our people living in our world are still there, but the vampire world is gone, GONE!”
Kaew and Grand thought back of when the Chief had took care of them. The Chief has been like their father.
Tears rolled down Kaew and Grand’s eyes.
“Now,” said the Master, “It’s time to kill you two.”
“No,” yelled Sila, “I won’t let you!”
Sila ran up and pushed the Master as hard as he can.
“Let’s go,” said Cheewin, and he grabbed onto Kaew and Grand.
“No,” said Grand, “What about Sila?”
“He’ll be coming any time sooner. I know he can face this,” said Cheewin.
“NO!” yelled Grand. Her face was shot with anger and she was as red as can be. Grand has lost her temper.
She ran toward the Master and pushed him as hard as she can.
The Master was pulled back and was slammed into the wall on his back.
Grand grabbed Sila’s hand and ran out the cave.
The four of them started running.
“I’m sorry,” said Grand, “I guess I got a little off guard.”
“It’s okay,” said Sila and both of them laughed.
“Let’s go hide behind this stone wall,” said Cheewin.
The four of them ran there and they sat there for a while.
“Sila…” said Grand, “You know that your Master won’t ever leave Kaew and I alone. Just let him kill us.”
“No,” said Sila, hugging her, “I won’t let you go.”
Grand cried, “There’s no other way to make us be with each other. I’m a vampire and you’re human. Why did we even love in the first place?”
“No,” said Sila, “We didn’t make a mistake. We loved.”
“I agree with Grand,” Kaew cried, “There’s no other way. None.”
“Let me go,” said Grand, “So your life won’t be fill with misery because of us anymore.”
Grand stood up but then Sila grabbed her waist and hugged her from behind.
“No,” said Sila, “I love you.”
“No,” cried Grand, “Let me go.”
“I’ll go with you,” said Kaew.
“No,” said Cheewin, “I won’t let any of you go. Hear me?”
Grand finally sat down, “Why?”
Sila brushed his hands around Grand’s cheeks, “Because I love you.”
“Everything is so complicated,” said Kaew.
“I don’t need to kill anyone anymore,” said Sila.
“I agree,” said Cheewin.
Sila took out all of his supplies he had for killing vampires and threw them away. So did Cheewin.
“Wait,” said Grand, “Let me see that.”
“No,” said Sila, taking away his crystal, “It’ll kill you.”
“That’s not true,” said Grand, remembering Ton’s words, “It is not true what people said. Some said that it’ll kill the vampires and some said that it’ll kill the humans. But it is not true. Those are love crystals, and if it matches with the other ones, you’ll turn to any type of creature and you’ll live together with your love one forever.”
“What?” asked Sila, confused.
“Let me see it,” said Grand.
Sila handed it over.
“Did you get what I said?” asked Grand.
Sila thought it over, then he realized what Grand meant.
“Grand,” said Sila, holding up Grand’s hands, “I love you. This is the only way that can help us be with each other.”
Grand took out her crystal, “I love you too.”
Kaew and Cheewin took out their crystals.
“The four of us can be together forever,” said Grand.
“Let’s do it right now,” said Kaew.
“Hold on,” said Sila, “I want to say something first, before we turn into animals.”
Tears rolled down Sila’s eyes, “Grand, you have been protecting me throughout this whole time. From now on, I promise to protect you as an animal. I’ll love you forever. And…I’m never leaving you again.”
“Oh, Sila,” Grand burst into tears.
Sila took Grand’s hands and said, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” said Grand.
“Kaew,” said Cheewin, “I know I have hurt you so many times, and from this day on, I promise to take care of you and not hurt you anymore. I love you, Kaew, and I want you to be with me forever.”
“I…I love you too,” Kaew cried.
The four of them had experienced love. Throughout their past, they never had felt this much love before. Before then, they were filled with hatred. Now look at what they have become.
Grand and Sila held up their crystals, so did Cheewin and Kaew.
Grand and Sila put theirs together and the crystals glowed. Grand and Sila also glowed and were brought up to the air.
Cheewin and Kaew put their crystals together and both glowed too.
The four of them had turned to eagles. They flew over the forests, crying out loud.
The four of them don’t have brains and can’t talk, but there’s one thing they can do. It is to love and be with each other forever.
The Master came and looked up into the sky, “No, This can’t be. The crystals aren’t supposed to be this way.”
The Master yelled and ran back to their human world, not wanting to tell anyone of what happened to Sila and Cheewin. The Master spread the humans to the vampire world.
From this day on, there were only humans. No more vampires.
The four of them flew over the mountains and found a nice little cave on the side of the mountains. They lived there happily and loved each other very much.
Bie, Grand, Cheewin, and Kaew, the two couples, loved each other and will live happily with each other, together ‘till the
