Nadech's last 2 lakorns (before the one with Matt) averaged 4.74% and 3.45% respectively which may not seem all that bad but considering their scale- the marketing and hype surrounding both lakorns, the results were lacklustre at best. And they were with Yaya so there is no excuse like koojin fans being turned off. In terms of the numbers, you're looking at them with 2020 eyes, ratings at CH3 have been declinling. Rating numbers that would be considered bad just five years ago are considered good now. I mean LLSR is actually the perfect example for that. We're both in agreement that it had poor ratings, yet if a lakorn aired today with those exact ratings, I'd say it was doing really welll. I absolutly would not consider the rating poor.
Another major difference is that the crown princess and LLSR were very big, highly promoted productions with NY- the channels biggest stars and koojin. Expectetations were sky high, they were being promoted like crazy, marketing and PR going into overdrive. The result? One lakorn got poor ratings and the other got below average ratings at best.. Considering all of that I'd call it a flop.
I'm not saying that MHIL wasn't hyped or promoted but nowhere near to the the extent of NY's last two lakorns. Like MLFTS everyone involved expected NY's last two lakorns to be huge hits.
